Has that vehicle been sitting for years before changing that out? That looks really rough for something that new. I have a customer that is getting hers changed out soon, so I'm waiting for a new alternator to replace hers and it is way cleaner than that. This engine looks like it was built in the mid 2000s.
What is the tool you used to move the belt up before putting the allen wrench in? That’s the tool I’m missing and I can’t for the life me get anything else to work
The alternator has 2 bolts and 3 electrical connections. Attach the alternator with both bolts loosely. Route the belt correctly. Then tighten the 2 alternator bolts. Then you can remove the belt tensioner pin and slowly restore the belt tension. Connect the 3 alternator electrical connections. Then reattach your negative battery cable. You are done except for putting the wheel well area back together.

I believe it was a 17mm
The best way to fix problems on Nissan cars is to trade them in for a Toyota or Honda. 🤣
How did you break the bottom alternator bolt loose? Any tricks? I’m dealing with one now and it is a pain in the *** won’t break loose
I used an open wrench. I believe size 17mm
Could you please post a link to the tool you used on this vid to loosen the belt tensioner?
A king ratchet with sockets
Not even a shallow socket alone will fit in the space
@@paLa-eo4dl a wrench will
Yes, I saw that's what you used in the vid. And it worked. That's why I asked for a link to the tool you used in the vid please.
@@paLa-eo4dl ok ok. I’m glad you got it
How to install new?!
