Has the world not noticed that this is a gorgeous song, about love not war, about kindness and heart? No wonder some people hate it. Thanks for the music.
I totally LOVE the tap dancing. It combines the arts of music, voice, and dance. I think of hot southern summer nights family, friends, neighbors... music, dance...
True love suffers long and dendureth all things and hope if all things that believe the fog things true love never fails as we move forward image towards the next level it's a humble Lessing of gratitude and thankfulness for our creator
Okay #1 GLADYS summoned me here, and as usual she's never let me down🙌❤️ Buuut ummmm... #2 Who in DEEEE hell...Thought to put tap-dancing to this?? I LITERALLY thought something was wrong with the dam CLIP! 😵😵 LOL
With people not knowing who she was, she still came in 3ʳᵈ place of the 1ˢᵗ season of _The Masked Singer._ Only fellow Latter-Day Saint *Donny Osmond* and the winner *T-Pain* scored higher.
@Bronzebk I agree. Tap dancing is a beautiful historical black dance form. And these dancers were extremely talented. But the tap dancing was distracting in this video. I believe that focusing on the singers and their powerful voices would’ve kept the message more focused.
tap dancing came from our black decedents. My grandmother lived from 1908-1995 and she was great at it she learned from her great grandmother who was a slave and she told us it came from Africa.
I wish Ms Knight had done this solo. Not to take away from the awesome Brother Winans, but this rendition was tailor made for The Empress of Soul only. And as far as who made the decision to throw in the tap dancers; It was an EPIC FAIL!!!
CORRECT TITLE OF POEM WRITTEN BY MR. JAMES WELDON JOHNSON IS "LIFT EV'RY VOICE" - --- NOT EVERY. NOT EVERY. NOT EVERY. EV'RY. EV'RY. EV'RY. WHITE AMERICA HAS RE-WRITTEN THE MAN'S POEM!! CAN'T DO THAT!!
If the instrumentation was different, the tap dancing could have worked. Smooth piano and strings don't fit with tapping. An more upbeat arrangement would make more sense.
You should stand for the entirety of the Black National Anthem. Secondly, BeBe did not know the correct v words. #putrespectonit or don't sing it at all
Tears all the way through it. It is one of the most moving songs ever.
Should have had these two sing at the Superbowl...
@nopegoss8916 I agree

@williamharpine1841 Perfectly Said. I totally agree with you. It’s definitely a beautiful song. ❤
I totally LOVE the tap dancing. It combines the arts of music, voice, and dance. I think of hot southern summer nights family, friends, neighbors...
music, dance...
I would love to do a duet with Bebe.
This is on my bucket list. God please let this happen.
Gladys could have done this SOLO. Her voice and stage presence is everything.
Agree
The Song and the choice of dance was a beautiful combination, the dancers were in tune as if singing with the taps
Love the tap dancing 🕺 . Beat at its best . High intelligence. JAZZY
Gladys Knight All Day!!
Gladys is so classy and gifted! I love her.
True love suffers long and dendureth all things and hope if all things that believe the fog things true love never fails as we move forward image towards the next level it's a humble Lessing of gratitude and thankfulness for our creator
them brothers have talent wow Gladys Knight BeBe have beautiful Voices, love me Gladys Knight alone too..
That was beautiful...
This song is so soothing!
one of the best songs I ever heard
Love you, Gladys! ❤️
Awesome! Just what we need today!!!
Song started out good but the tap dancing was a complete distraction from the song. Maybe couldve done the tap part to an instrumental
CeCe I took rhythm tap / mentor Bubba Gaines...He said only tap to instrumentals. Tap distracts from lyrics!
@@dreamofmzjeanie 😄 ironic.
Tap dancing is a slavery/ Jim Crow kind of dance in my mind. Get rid of it.
They remind me of Hines, Hines and Dad. They were awesome.
Yes they do.
I love this song
Gladys Gladys Gladys Bebe!
I agree, Linda Brown. Tap-dancing has its place, but not here.
Okay #1 GLADYS summoned me here, and as usual she's never let me down🙌❤️ Buuut ummmm...
#2 Who in DEEEE hell...Thought to put tap-dancing to this?? I LITERALLY thought something was wrong with the dam CLIP! 😵😵 LOL
Really... how could they!! Tap to this beautiful song... really ....
Even if the Tappers are very good!
who can sing better than Gladys Knight OMG
With people not knowing who she was, she still came in 3ʳᵈ place of the 1ˢᵗ season of _The Masked Singer._ Only fellow Latter-Day Saint *Donny Osmond* and the winner *T-Pain* scored higher.
Damn Gladys can sing.......
Tap dancing spoils the show
Wrong song to tap too.
I absolutely agree with you!
couldn't agree with more, they should of kept it simple lol
LOL! I was just trying to make it work in my mind and it just ain't happening
Yeah....inappropriate and distracting
Maybe soft shoe
Beautiful woman heart and soul
The tap dance is silly for this song.
Yeah it was an odd choice for sure :|
yeah, the tapping just doesnt work with this song. of course it doesnt help that Bebe is messing up the words.
BeBe disappointed me greatly
I think such songs lend themselves better to miming or.spiritual dance instead of tap. But they interpreted it well
Nice
Should play this song for independence day nfl games.
Hard to believe someone thought tap dancing was fitting for such a beautiful rendition. WTH!!!!
I said the same thing like what’s it’s distracting
@Bronzebk I agree. Tap dancing is a beautiful historical black dance form. And these dancers were extremely talented. But the tap dancing was distracting in this video. I believe that focusing on the singers and their powerful voices would’ve kept the message more focused.
Tap dancing? Why?
tap dancing came from our black decedents. My grandmother lived from 1908-1995 and she was great at it she learned from her great grandmother who was a slave and she told us it came from Africa.
I'm with you, why mess up a great song with tap dancing .
I understand but the sound of the tapping is distracting. For some reason it’s not working for this.
LOL. You are right!!!
The spoil was the tap dance. I Wonder......what was it for?
Black National Anthem! The audience should have stood up, come on man!
Umm they were
srinenewname agreed
Omg!!! Yes!!!!!!!
i like the idea but the singers didn't consider the tappers at all.
Love will
The tap dancers were good I don't wanna hate on them but why were they here again?
Why are these people sitting on their asses. I stand for the National Athemn and Life Every Voice every time I hear them.
I wish Ms Knight had done this solo. Not to take away from the awesome Brother Winans, but this rendition was tailor made for The Empress of Soul only. And as far as who made the decision to throw in the tap dancers; It was an EPIC FAIL!!!
Tappy Dappy G
Just saw this and yes the tap dancing was so disjointed and distracting.
What happened to the last section?
he sing the words wrong
Gladys Gladys Gladys
is this in his new album?
CORRECT TITLE OF POEM WRITTEN BY MR. JAMES WELDON JOHNSON IS "LIFT EV'RY VOICE" - --- NOT EVERY. NOT EVERY. NOT EVERY. EV'RY. EV'RY. EV'RY. WHITE AMERICA HAS RE-WRITTEN THE MAN'S POEM!! CAN'T DO THAT!!
Annndd Bebe, puhhleeeze mang... "put da SHUT 2 Da UP" and let her SING. 🤷🏼♀️ Lol
If the instrumentation was different, the tap dancing could have worked.
Smooth piano and strings don't fit with tapping.
An more upbeat arrangement would make more sense.
Really? Tap dancers? lol
The noise from the tap dancing was annoying! I would have just love to hear Gladys instead.
Can those boys not dance??😑
Cut the tap dancing...messed up the rhythm
I love Gladys and BeBe but did not like the arrangement of the song.
Bebe got the verse mixed up.
Not the best rendition of the song.
WTF is with the tap dancing... 🤣
The tap dancing distracts from the singing. I would rather listen to the voices and lyrics.
They did far too much in this arrangement.
You should stand for the entirety of the Black National Anthem.
Secondly, BeBe did not know the correct v words. #putrespectonit or don't sing it at all
