Always gives me cold shivers this track... When i was engaged to my ex over 40 years ago who was in to Northern Soul big time he played this track a lot & when I listened to it I always used to he drawn to his bedroom window to look out at the flats opposite at a certain flat window.I never knew why it was just something a real cold shivers eerie feeling came over me...When he saw where I was looking he said oh that's where ..... .......who I knew committed suicide he hung himself in there cos his girlfriend had dumped him.Wow I had no idea about this until that day but it made me think about the poor soul & how tormented his state of mind was right then & how poignant the words to this song were....Iv not thought about that for a few years until tonight when I came across this track again I felt compelled to post this.... LONELY LOVER I HOPE YOUR SOUL IS RESTING IN PEACE.💔😢😢😢

Question, if this track by Marvin wasn't released until the 80's (and with synthesized overdubs) how was this one done with an arrangement that is incredibly as close to Motown's arrangement as you can get? Was this song "leaked" somehow? It's good, no doubt- it's REALLY good.
