- In this segment of the PERFORM-VK Video Manual, you will learn how to use PERFORM-VK as a USB Audio Interface.
There are 4 input and 8 output channels for USB audio in PERFORM-VK.
A driver is required for both USB audio AND MIDI use.
*When you install the driver, DO NOT have the VK connected when it tells you to reboot your computer.*

MIDI- either through USB or through a MIDI cable can be really powerful as a creative tool. Controlling things like Gender, delay feedback or Harmony Hold is really fun! Check out the MIDI CC list in the manual
can you make another "detailed" video showing how to connect the perform vk to garage band with those 8 channels..
This video it creates more questions than answers. Surely T C Helicon can do a better video than this?? When I use Steinberg Cubase as a DAW can I monitor the other channels from instruments so I can put down multiple audio channels from the VK? What sort of signal is required for the harmony function...ie if I send a submix from the DAW back to the VK? Can I monitor all the other tracks from cubase on the VK when it is set to be the DAW interface? No shop in Australia can answer these questions.
I am not able to record USB audio from the VK into my iMac (Catalina) in Logic Pro X or Garageband. I am able to select the VK as the interface, but not signal comes in, and I've tried inputs 1-8. I've checked the Security Preferences to allow Logic and Garageband to receive external audio, but to no avail. All I have plugged into the VK is the microphone (tried with/without 48V) and the USB cable to the iMac. Any ideas would be appreciated!

@@hannekehommes I sent it to a repair shop. Apparently there was a lose wire.
I cannot find the driver for mac to record with the multichannel 4IN/8OUT in Logic.

Link to driver is dead and I can't find the driver on TC-helicon website...Any suggestions ?

I like the idea of having a series of videos to explain the use of the product. I'm trying out my Perform VK right now, and there's a very noticeable volume trigger gap - when I sing softly into the mic, there are no harmonies and as I gradually sing louder and louder, the harmonies will pop in when I'm singing at a medium-loud volume, causing a weird-sounding glitch effect. I understand that the mic input threshold for the harmonies won't be perfect, but is there a way to adjust how much the input will trigger the effects?
Thank you for the video. I would like to take a prerecorded vocal in Protools and add harmony to the track could you give some instruction on how to do that.
I was recording vocals with Reaper, then played it back, sounded great, then all of a sudden playback stopped? Seems to be on a 2 minute timer? It's happening when using my Perform helicon vk as an interface via USB. Finally got it to record using these input settings as recommended through this group. I'm running out of hair and need a drink, and I don't drink....I noticed there are no replies here?

Trying my best to get the Buffer Rate set correctly. But if it goes to 256 or higher it has a very bad clipping noise when using Reaper :(
Great. So, there is possible to send both Audio and MIDI via USB but need a driver, right? Meaning it is not midi compliant so I cannot use the USB IN from The Perform-vk as a MIDI alternative to control the harmony via a keyboard controller that has only USB MIDI out!? Is there any such possibility anyway? Without using an extra converter. Thanks

Does perform V version records audio with effect or just dry? I was wondering if I could use it as my audio interface with buit in effects

Would you be singing acapella or with a backing track? For the harmony effect to work on Perform-VK, it needs chord information from an instrument, so if you're only singing acapella, then they won't work for you.
That's not a dumb question at all! You CAN use VK without using keyboard, but you are recommended to still use backing tracks or another instrument when you do. The reverb, echo, pitch correct, anti-feedback and adaptive tone will all work as intended without keyboard. But the harmony setting needs some instrument as a guide for the correct harmonies! This can be a keyboard plugged directly into Perform VK, or an instrument/Backtrack that Perform VK will pick up through the RoomSense Mic on the unit! So if you want it for harmonies, it's advised that you have some accompaniment. Thanks for singing with us :)
