- In this segment of the PERFORM-VK Video Manual, you will learn how to Perform-VK functions with Presets.
You will also learn how to create and edit your own preset, and how to import presets from the Perform-VK APP either by USB or by Beaming. Most of our presets available in the app also contain a HIT function; this video will also teach you how to use HIT and how to edit an imported/beamed preset and how to edit the HIT.

For those of you having issues with Streaming the presets from your phone to the Perform-VK the secret is to HOLD DOWN the selected preset button while the new program is being beamed to the VK. Then the light will flash blue and it should work. The Video from Helicon did a crappy job of explaining this.
Thank you for putting this video together. I was getting things figured out, but this just adds a little needed clarity and reinforcement. What I keep hoping to find is a guide by TC or by Perform VK users as to which beamable presets may be the most useful for different settings (since I don't know many of the song choices). I like having all of the available options, but find it hard to know where to start. Thanks again for the tutorial.

Thanks for the video. Are the beamed presets editable for the effects which are not onboard? For example doubling.
What cable do I need to connect the Helicon VK to My Keyboard YAMAHA PSR SX 700?

Why ist the app not available in every country? any workarounds?
Is it possible to upgrade this box by adding hardtune, umode, talkbox and vocoder? It has only few effects and doesn't cover all kind of vocal music effects for electronic or cinematic score and epic music.
Hi. Thank you for the video. Does a beamed preset stay in after the power is disconnected? Say I want hard auto-tune to beam to preset 1 and always be there? Thank you.
It does stay...but good luck with the beaming presets...its hit or miss...I have never been able to get the auto-tune to beam over
Does it have a microphone built in like the Play Electric so it can get the chord information from the band? I don't play keys for every song, sometimes I play guitar :/
This is also my question...have you bought one and tried it? Does the harmony work with just listening from the band through it's RoomSense mic?
@@imsongstress yes, I did buy one and I’ve barely used it. It does have the room sense mics but I found it very inconvenient to trigger when I’m not playing keys and a lot of hassle to set it up.
FANTASTIC video - Thanks so much. BUT my new VK does not seam to be accepting the beaming. (It does not flash blue where done). Any troubleshooting ideas? Also, is there a way to turn ALL PRESETS OFF? That is - just use the Harmony/Reverb/Echo buttons without altering a preset? THANKS so much for your help. Love this little thing!
Did the APP Stop working because after I factory reset it and updated the firmware on the device it stopped working

If I beam in an effect does it riside in the unit or is it gone on power off...in other words next gig is it still there?
Hello, this function does not work, I have updated to the last TC-Helicon perfom-VK firmware and tested on 4 phones (Xiaomi Mi9, S Galaxy S7, S Galaxy S8, an galaxy tab A6), none works, Beam
using noise or Beam Usb app (Android), the blue flash button does not appear in either of the two modes (beam and usb), I have looked at forums and I see that other users also have the same problem on android, when do they solve it? , The PC program is very buggy and has quite a few bugs, and it doesn't have the same pressets as Beam program in the cloud either, thanks for your help
Hello! I just got my perform VK and tried to beam presets using the app in my Iphone XR but after the guide completes the count down from 3 the app just close and do nothing else. What can I do?

Thanx for the video. Can I also define that HIT will get me MORE amout of THE SAME delay than Not-Hit? I need the vocals in the verse have a moderate quarter, but in the chorus I need it prominent
Hey Thomas! The best way to establish that kind of HIT setup is to program your presets manually. So what you could do is: program two of the presets to be identical, then choose one to crank up the delay on! That way when you switch between the two, you'd hear low delay on one, then high delay on on the other, but with identical settings in every other way. Hope this answers your question!
Thank you so much for the video. How could I set up this parameter: I would like preset 1 to be reverb and harmony. When I press preset 1 again I would like it to be just reverb. Can I use a "hit" condition to do this? Thanks
Hey! Yes you can! So Perform VK has 3 preset buttons, and each turns White (unengaged), green, or blue. Both green and blue are different presets, even on the same button! So when you press 1 and it turns green, set up your harmony and reverb. then hit 1 again, and the button will turn blue - at this point, adjust the reverb how you would like it for the second hit. Hope this answers your question!

Hi, I have just purchased a Perform VK and have tried every suggestion I can find in blogs and here on RUclips to beam the presets from the app to my VK and nothing has worked. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Have you updated the VK perform software on the box? I have tried a year ago and it also did not work. After watching this video I tried again and it works.
How do you beam to preset 2 or 3??????

Is there an appropriate TC Helicon for me if Ijust want to play tracks through Aux and add Harmonies and doubling so I can preform without my groups sometimes..????
Perform V is probably your best bet. It has an aux input and can do harmonies and doubling. Bonus that it harmonizes with whatever you are playing.

I tried to beam some presets from the app to the unit. Most of the “beamings” seem unsuccessful, only a handful of them actually got beamed onto the unit. What gives?

Don't ask any questions, they will never answer on utube or on the phone or no response on email, I did try, they all dead. Just buy it and figure out customer service is worse then anywhere.
