What other spirits are busted in this mode?
There's still lots of spirits left, and Ridley's shoulders are getting tired of carrying.

Lizard Leliel Gold mario, he gives you super amour with no downside for 3 slots. So you can’t flinch until high percent, or a powerful attack. You can get him through summoning with metal mario and some other spirits
M. Bison with 3 PSI ^ Support Spirits and then spam PK Fire with Ness
Watch out he'll saw your boat in half.
Black Knight with Azura Support is pretty busted with any Fire Emblem character, especially Ike and Chrom/Roy. The defense buffs from Black Knight will let you survive Galeem's "instant kill" attack at nearly 100%, and it also buffs your attack while Azura stacks on with a melee attack buff and negates the speed decrease with her own speed increase. Marx is also extremely dumb on Zelda because it also buffs her lightning kick and it has three slots for more buffs like three air attacks to make lightning kick even more devastating. Both of those sets made the final boss a complete joke for me.

Enhanced Medusa spirit is even better. It still makes you giant and buffs your attack mainly, plus there are 2 slots for down b up.

Ridley gets a same-series bonus from Mother Brain, though, which is likely why she was used here.
Well due to the fact that the mother brain spirit and ridley are both from metroid it makes him even stronger
Well if use use the demon style medusa spirit, and have two special move power up, it will do *WAY* more damgage.

It is truly absurd just how much damage you can get off in spirits mode (Olimar easily can get of the same damage with aerials), however I definitely have to say that Ridley is easily one of the most broken characters for the mode. Even without a broken spirit build, he generally has the tools necessary to demolish the opponent, especially on stages with a walk off.

Olimar is disgusting in spirits. Using Akuma and my fair does more damage than this Ridley down-B haha. Pikmin just get mega boosted by power for some reason

The only problem which Ridley is when you get to the final fight in World of light you just get bodied by everything because his hitbox is huge.

Use any legendary 3 slot primary, giant zapfish and a spirit that either increases your down special damage or all special damage. The down special spirit might give you a better damage buff tho

Support: Deep breathing + great zapfish

This is NO WHERE near as strong as using DK or Little Mac with: Giant, Metal, Hyper Smash Attacks and Indefinite Smash Attack Charging.
Beats every opponent in less than 4 hits guaranteed and beats bosses in less then 8-10 hits (not fully charged).
Pirhana plant can do it in 1 hit.

i actually found out that combo. like exactly the same thing on my own. like while playing i put the spirits together and saw the crazy results. then saw the skills and got them and tada i turned into a god.
Note: Giant and Metal can come prepackaged together in the Metal Face spirit.

Just so y'know, the Great Zapfish support spirit makes you giant, so there are other primary options.
I always thought giant characters were overpowered, but Simon/Richter takes the cake.

Oh "Nerfonetta" is fine the way she is... Sort of. Just lessen the landing and ending lag a bit and fix witch twist recovery or make it at least more visible that it's clearly not gonna grab the ledge because sometimes I feel like it fools my eyes in this game. I love her character for her games of origin and I'm not gonna drop her just because of a tier. Just to clarify though, I previously wasn't into competitive smash or their terms back when Smash 4 was a thing, but I saw videos on that time period and boy, do I think that nerfing her inescapability and nerfing 0-death combos was rightly justified, but I need them to slightly adjust what was previously mentioned especially on her forward and up smash lag. Also give her one more kill option besides her back air... Other than that she still gucci for me at least and her combos are satisfying to pull off considering they now rely on hard reads instead of the enemy being unable to escape. She's more "Bayonetta 2 gameplay" now in this game where the opponent can break your combo and punish you if you don't predict well.

@@Nosretep I did mention that. Her Smash attacks though are just a bit too risky due to its over-reliance on hard reads. Sure its satisfying when you get it, but the lag on her wicked weaves are just too punishable especially when they whiff on even the lightest Pichu headbutt.
This is what happens if Ridley stayed the same in Ultimate with no size or power nerf

a strat i like to use is: M. bison + victini + star sprite + wind fish. one single smash attack (not even charged) with lucas does 118% to an opponent, then it's easy to finish with a PK thunder or a PK freeze.
This has brought us a new (and possibly incorrect) definition of the word “slightly”.

If you really want to get there asap, I'll say this the best I can without spoilers - when you get far enough in the game, a plot twist will happen, and you'll be left with three paths - up, bottom left, and bottom right. Take the bottom right path.
Yes, like what he said, it is in Dracula's Castle, which is on the right path. You also get the "Giant" primary spirit at the end of the game, but the Deep Breathing support spirit is very early on, if you played World of Light for only about 20 minutes you can easily be up to it.

Two Down Special Power Up Support Spirits, and one Special Move Power Up Support Spirit, and Chun-Li as a Primary Spirit and learned Demon Style = Down Specials that are physical attacks deal SERIOUS damage.
