You need to have a good level of Emotional and Mental stability in order for this to work. If not, Anxiety WILL take over and beat the fuck outta you. Learning to control that is not an easy thing. I have a similar situation right now. I start texting a girl and we had a first date that went so well. We kept contact after the date and she started her master's exams period. Then the messages, although nice and engaging, started to get more spaced between them. It's been now 6 days since my last messages have not been replied. I know she had lot ef exams left and reports to write, so maybe that stress made her pull away. But, never put the hand on the fire for anyone. I'm giving her space and the benefit of the doubt as it's the first time she pulls away, but I do it within my frame, keeping on with my life and start talking to other women. Time, patience and self control is key.

This is exactly the problem I have with the whole 'mirroring' tactic. Providing that she comes back at all... For me, when a guy goes silent, I assume that he has lost interest and doesn't want to be together anymore.
