We were excited to experience the legendary St. Regis brand in Chicago, but our stay left us with mixed feelings. While there were certainly highlights like the exceptional dining at Tre Dita and Miru, the hotel didn't quite deliver the exceptional service and amenities we associate with the St. Regis name worldwide. We enjoyed our stay, but at $500+ a night, the St. Regis Chicago didn't hit the luxury mark we expected. While the staff was friendly, it lacked the personalized, anticipatory service that defines the St. Regis experience globally. We wonder if the residential aspect of the building impacts the overall focus on the hotel.

Is it possible without sacrificing safety (not including areas where aesthectics are not important) to make all the warning/emergency signs more aesthetically pleasing? For instance, flip up in case of emergency or use technology. I don't understand why we still need license plates and warning labels under visors in cars and trucks. Why are we making things so dangerous and complicated? Our litigious society makes businesses do a lot of things that don't make sense. What are the true benefits of what we do and what is the probability and consequences of failure. We make decisions based on economics not what is best. For instance, if we lived communally and shared more we wouldn't need to buy so many things. For example, cars stay unused parked most of the time. Every home has many items that people rarely use. Our addiction to wealth creation is going to destroy us and the planet. Follow Jesus!
