Wild animals will be wild animals. Domesticated pets must be supervised or sheltered at all times.
What kind of responsible pet owner allows their innocent animal alone outside in these conditions at And in that environments
@@user-lp1jw9bo5yMy dogs have always been outside animals. I'll never let them in the house or in my car
@@user-lp1jw9bo5ydon’t be weird
Poor baby, I hope she heals quickly! 😢
Poor cat she has kittens that need nourishment they are more of an endangered species than a dime a dozen dog
@@Stress7820Hahahahahaha. I love your comment.
Imagine having sympathy for a useless nasty man made mutant dog.
@@user-lp1jw9bo5ylol true😂
@@user-lp1jw9bo5y you should go feed her. Personally. I feel like you have a lot to feed her
Can I adopt that Mountain lion?, I have some annoying dogs in my neighborhood...
Lmao
For real
Ong bro, these mfs keep barking at 3am. Some guy in my neighbourhood got arrested for killing 3 of the annoying dogs even tho they attacked him :/
Oh, heartbreaking 💔 to see the beautiful innocent dog attacked. Such a horrible experience. I'm so elated to know the dog survived and is recovering. ❤Sending love ❤️ light and healing.❤
Knowing there’s cougars in the area, why would an owner let one’s dog outside alone at night? Irresponsible!!
Many dog owners have their IQ lower than their age and they have dogs just for the sake of it.
What if you have a pitbull?
@@RyanRithdoesn't matter
Dog parents needs to be more responsible
You’re right, I have 2 German shepherds and never leave them outside unattended.
They have been reported to CPS services guy will need counseling
I love holier than thou people. So amazingly perfect . They live in a world with 100% security because they do everything they have declared right all the time. It must be quite the experience being you.
Mistakes will happen, no matter what
There’s no such thing as a dog parent just an owner.
If that dog is still alive then that lion was not serious,
Thank you I guess they need Jack Hanna or Steve Irwin to tell them that
they don't provide instant death when they attack prey
@@mizzury54 yeah sure, tell that to a starving cougar.
@mizzury54 it's usually more intense then this attack
She was in the living room yet she didn’t come out to help when she heard her dog obviously screaming while being attacked ??? like I don’t even leave my dogs outside by them self I have to stay watching them cuz im so scared of this happening
And what? Fight the cougar? Would you do that? She clearly waited for her husband to help
Everything that she did sounds very suspicious and ultimately her dog paid the price please let us not allow us to blame A malnourished and starving animal such as the big cat
@@davecahyo doesn’t take much to make a cougar run?
Eh. I would ignore it at first too
You people don't listen to well at all do you. Her husband ran out there as soon as they heard it.
The dog probably just thought the cat wanted to play until it got punctured😢
It did appear to be rough housing - those puncture wounds were real, though. It's astonishing there was no obvious aggression and the cougar didn't just do what big cats are supposed to do and dispatch the dog swiftly.
Animals communicate by tone of voice. The poor doggy knew the cat was trying to intimidate her with growling.
Massive fences. CCTV in gardens. Check the feed for movements before letting the dog out. That's how you find out if anything or anyone is already in the garden waiting. Want to live in a world that still has wildlife - you need to be proactive about protecting your pets from it and protecting it from your pets. We do like being reactive when we haven't been sufficiently proactive, though.
Thankfully, and remarkably (I thought big cats tended to go for crushing the windpipe), the dog is relatively unhurt and nobody has sought revenge against Mountain Lions. Let's learn and do better.
Where is your evidence that the cat was out there waiting ?
Thankfully, this was a giant schnauzer. You can respect nature, but there are boundaries. Nature would meet technology in that case.
The lion was hungry. Welcome to the real world .
You're one of the few people who has learned mountain lions are hunters and predators.
Shut up
Sounds like rich people problems living near mountain..move down to the crowded suburbs we dont have this problem
You've never had that problem yet. With nowhere to go, those suckers can and will show up in your neighborhood later if not sooner. Coyotes have already shown up in unlikely neighborhoods.
@@MrJuvefrank I guess u didn't see the fancy back yard with the swimming pool while the husband was grabbing the pool stick to fight the mountain lion off of in the news skit... stop it! A band of neighbors will pit down coyotes mountain lions quicker then they get down to the burbs especially if your neighbors got guns..😅
They have mtn lions in the valleys too.
I feel for the pet dogs and cats that are attacked in their own yard and I do not blame the owners. I'm happy Holly survived and hope she has a speedy recovery. People do need to be aware though - for themselves, their children, and pets - that just because you probably never see any wild predators on your street or in the surrounding neighborhood, does not mean they aren't there. Predators by nature are masters of staying out of sight, especially during the day. They generally are out from dusk til dawn. So depending on the time of year they can be out hunting as early as 5 pm. They do not distinguish between some wild critter or your beloved fur baby. To them if they can catch it and kill it, it's a meal for them and any young they may be raising.
Who let the dog out ? 😂 that’s a song from 2000 by Baha Men if you don’t have a sense of humor
Surprisingly of all people its own owner or master or at least claims to be that
And a weak pun that's apparently never going to stop being wheeled out at every opportunity - if you've been, miraculously, so far oblivious to just how uninspired our species has become.
Anyone who has predators in their area and leaves the dog on supervised is not a good dog, furthermore living in such an area without owning a firearm is completely asinine!
Who tf lets their dog outside if there are mountain lions around
So, I'm not bashing the owners, but they should know better. Coyotes, snakes, and other wild animals will attack your pets. Did you know coyotes and especially lions can jump your 8 ft fence?
The mountain lion wanted to prove the true meaning of the song "Who let the dog out?"
The plastic surgery is just sad
Welcome to LA suburbs
That cat is inexperienced
Not much of a mountain lion. More like a Mountain Kitty.
HOW did you folks MISS those 3 warnings to you on that property! There IS an established mountain lion den there. Did they permit you? Look RIGHT next to your driveway for the big circle. THEN look all the way UP the hill at the shaped tree. Looks like a wildlife camera set up. THEN look UP to the TOP of the driveway and see if you do not see something squatting that looks like a human grown over with leaves or a ghillie suit. Do NOT let your dog out WITHOUT being outside with a BIG club. You're on wild land.
Cat was playing with its meal.
Where d these pl live, is it wildlife area mountain lion
Get a spike collar
Glad the dog is doing okay
We have 2 Giants the same age and weight and we have mtn lions here in northern Utah. I shared with my family bc literally this pup was 93lbs of defenselessness😢 we've seen tracks in the snow in our driveway.
I wouldn't raise any small children there
THIS VIDEO above is another REAL reason why owning a firearm IS THE RIGHT of every citizen.. I'm talking about a single shot rifle or shotgun to protect you, your pets, property and family. Just like California state in the video, there are other anti-2A states that want to TOTALLY strip people rights away of owning any firearm.. And once again, this video is a prime example why that is such a POOR excuse.
I am a vet and proud 2A supporter but this post is misplaced. The lion is not some intruder violating your civil rights, it's a wild animal who hunted another animal left outside by its owner. If the lion breaks into your home, that's a different conversation. But expecting the lion to order UberEats when the home owner left a pet out in the open is wild.
Well that’s why human should not go built the houses up in mountains.. They are endangering pets along with them. Left mountains for mountain lions n other native wildlife species…
Well people need to live somewhere & there is a housing shortage crisis already…..
These news editorial will never ever mention that simple common sense fact or theory
@@janetyingythere’s many places to live for ppl….even out of state. Wildlife have no place to go…Their housing shortage started many many years ago. Many have gotten ran over and displaced for your comfort due to everyone’s selfishness.
@@blkcatdeeva if people move out of state like you claim, they will displace the wildlife OVER THERE. Your logic makes no sense. Either way, with the increase in human population, there will be wildlife that’s always affected….
We can do whatever the hell we want, thanks for the useless input though.
The cat looked like it was playing with the dog mostly
It looked like that cat was playing the hunting game.
Wow ! it takes three paid reporters to tell one story these days ! That's two too many ! 🤯
that is not a full crown mountain lion, it is very small
& THATS NOT EVEN A FULLY GROWN MOUNTAIN LION
Well, people breed dogs to be 100% dependent on humans so this is to be expected.
While warn your neighbors, if you don’t follow your own advice. Glad your little doggie will be OK.
You know there are bobcats coyotes in area why don’t u bring dog inside? Terrible
It’s the owners fault!!!!
Yeah, dude, when you live by the mountain don't be surprised by wildlife.
If I was dog sitting for her and this happened I would have just stood behind the window and done nothing. Why should I risk my life or waste my time calling for help over a dog.
never would have happened if there were 2-3 large dogs there.
It’s all about eating
Mountain lion violence has become an epidemic in this country! We need common sense mountain lion safety laws NOW! 🚫
😂 common sense is nonexistent in 99% of the population. Idiocracy. 🇺🇸
Violence??? They are wild animals and they need to eat too
MMLM. Mountain Lion Lives Matter.
UN conservation laws and their Gaia religion are only causing problems worldwide in the name of fixing them
FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS DOG OWNER OR NOT BEWARE OF MOUNTAIN LIONS & WILD LIFE & THE SIZE OF YOUR DOG BY IT SELF WILL NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A 1ON1 BATTLE AGAINST A FULL GROWN MOUNTAIN LION & THATS A FACT JACK
Mountain lions in the mountains😮😮😮😮. 🙄
Idk what people expect when you live near wild animals or continue to develop further into nearby lands. Animals gotta eat 🤷🏻♀️ just be mindful and careful and you’ll be fine.
Jumping jehosafat Batman
& JUST LIKE I SAID EVEN IF IT A LARGE OR A VERY LARGE DOG & ITS BY ITS SELF THAT DOG IN A 1ON1 BATTLE IS NO MATCH FOR A BIG MOUNTAIN LION UNLESS YOU HAVE HUMAN INTERVENTION & THATS A FACT JACK
40 years ago, mountain lions and bears never came in to wear people lift. That's because of dogs. But since the democrats said no more hunting, he's animals with dogs. Bears and lions do not fear them and well hunt and eat them duh
😂😂
... Wow...they weren't lying about that lion ... 🦁 ...
WHERE THEIR ARE WILD ANIMALS SUCH AS MOUNTAIN LIONS ECT YOU CANT JUST HAVE ONE DOG BY IT SELF OUT THEIR EVEN IF ITS A PITBULL OR ANY OTHER KIND OF DOG THEIR HAVE TO BE MAN INTERFERENCE SUCH AS PUTTING A SPIKE COLLAR ON THE DOG NECK & ITS BEST TO HAVE 2 DOGS OR MORE EVEN IF YOU HAVE A REALLY BIG AS ST BENARD TYPE BIG DOG IT STILL WILL NOT BE A MATCH IN A 1ON1 FIGHT W/ANY BIG WILD LIFE CAT & THATS A FACT

I'm only mad because this is gonna give a bad name to innocent mountain lions who have prides to feed at this time
@@user-lp1jw9bo5y Mountain Lions are solitary they don't live in prides. Your joking right? It's getting harder to tell these days.
