Jeremy Stolle has a long history with the Broadway production of Phantom. Having joined the Broadway company in October 2007, he was with the production for nearly 16 years when the production closed in April 2023.
In addition to his regular track as Passarino/ensemble, he was also cast to be an understudy to both Raoul and the Phantom (and later on, Piangi). Through the years Jeremy gained a major fanbase as more and more people became aware of his performance as the Phantom. He also became extremely popular online with his hilarious backstage antics as documented through his Vine account.
Originally, Jeremy was scheduled to give his final performance as The Phantom on March 20, 2023. But as a result of Ben Crawford's absences, Jeremy ended up getting to do another 9 additional performances as The Phantom! He did the matinee on April 1, every performance from April 4-April 8, and then one final show on April 13.
With the exception of Ted Keegan's pre-scheduled show on Monday 4/3, Jeremy essentially got to be the principle Phantom for the entire second-to-last week of the Broadway production being put on for 7 consecutive performances, likely the most performances he'd ever played the role in a row. It felt really special that he got to do the entire week of shows, being the second to last week of the production it felt like a sort of celebration of his history being with the show, and especially being as prominent a figure in the production as he had been.
Following that week, Jeremy Stolle got to do one final performance in the role of The Phantom on April 13, 2023 - the 4th to last performance of the production (we do not count the 16th as a real show as fans were not able to attend except through a poorly handled and unfair lottery), and that performance is the one we have here today.
