Hello Fernan, This video was very helpful, and you didn't cover how to create the table of employees' SNAPSHOTS!

Hello Fernan, This was a very misleading title for the video and you didn't cover how to create the SNAPSHOTS!

Hi Sami, after reading your comment and looking at the thumbnail, you are right. The video was more of an introduction to snapshots, not how to snapshot in Power BI, which is probably an even more interesting video, so I'll have a look at updating the thumbnail for this one to be more descriptive, appreciate your feedback mate!

I thought this was going to be how to take snapshots with power bi… you could do a video on how using scorecards allows for taking a snapshot of a data point. Appreciate your videos

Hiya, yes I believe the thumbnail is misleading in this case so I will update it, I'll also have a look at scorecards as its gotten a lot of update since it was released!

Disappointing, learn nothing...expecting something like power automate taking PBI data into excel at certain interval...

At what point do we learn how to create a snapshot table? I’m confused.

So if I have ten products, and each day at 5:00 I want a record of how many of each product is on hand, then do the same thing the next day to compare stock on hand each day, then how do I make and keep the previous days' records?

You need to create a "snapshot" of your previous days. So lets say you have 10 products at hand yesterday and 8 products today. You'll need a table with 18 records, and a snapshot date column, allowing you to distinguish when those products were on hand. This allows you to report how many products you had yesterday vs today. Hope that makes sense!

    Hi,
    Great Video,
I have a question...I have a web link that return's only last 30 days of data, for example 24/06/23 to 25/07/23 but the next refresh happens new range become 25/06/23 to 26/07/23. Is there any way that I can store the previous data as well..like from 24/06/23 to 26/07/23. is there any solution on pro?
