    Today I went to a work interview (Thursday). They asked me if I was good on Power BI, and I never heard about it before. They said they could get around it, but I said I would be able to master it by Monday. Your videos popped up on my search and as I followed them, I feel like I'm ready in just one day. Really nice, powerful and simple at the same time program. Thanks to your tutorials, the introduction to this program was easy for me. Keep up with these videos. You will be the first search going on from here for software tutorials for me.

    For the bar chart of the weekdays at around 29:55, the values add up to over 700 (greater than the number of rows in the data). To correct this issue, in my version of Power BI, for the bar chart, I had to select "Count of Day of Week" in "Values" and then place "Day of Week" in "Axis". Thanks so much for your work Kevin! I appreciate your clear overview.

      @shmulyseligson 21 час назад

      @@BrenBuenaventura It’s funny how much I’ve learned since I wrote that original comment. I use power Bi for KPI tracking as well as traditional trend analysis all the time. It’s also a really simple way to automate a reporting process if you have a database that is compatible with the power bi connectors.
      In audit I would imagine the applications center around data analysis and identification of outliers and summary statistics.

    Absolutely wonderful, I was given data sets for a final interview and tasked with creating a dashboard. Their data was unbelievably messing and had 0 primary and foreign keys (SQL). Also, they had 0 relationships. So, it was a nightmare trying to figure out the relationships when the # of stores varied from the data sets and the employees table had position ID and store # but the store table did not have Position IDs but job titles instead. Needless to say, I tried building visuals using quick measures but later realized this doesnt allow me to use that measure for different tables. After a day, I realized that creating a new measure manually allows you to use this measure across multiple visualization tools (combing multiple tables).
    Anyways I say all this to stress how important it is to make the relationships immediately and to manually create the formulas in DAX. You nailed it with showing various DAX formulas! Wish I saw this video before pulling my hair out LOL

    Hey Kevin, just want to point out something here:
    29:51 where you were trying to find the day of the week with the most cookies ordered; I think there is an error in the result.
    The whole orders table has 700 records in it, that doesn't align with your query results.

    Thanks very much for this! It's been a while since I last used Power BI DAX functions and needed a refresher. Your video turned out to be so much better than what I had initially expected! I hope you can do more tutorials on complicated DAX, they used to give me so much headaches!
