Just bought a 2012 with only 40k miles and im stoked!! Been driving it a few weeks and its a blast. Came from a 335i so I’m more pumped about reliability than anything 😅 Awesome video man!! May have to steal some of these mod ideas 🤔
You got a gem! They are super fun, not as easy to make power as your 335i. But it’s a completely different experience. Feel free to mod away! I like to think I have great taste 🤣
Fellow s5 owner here, great video! The 4.2 FSI is basically bulletproof compared to the older 4.2 40v in the s4. Really the only thing to look out for is the carbon buildup and routine maintenance and its a solid car. I've heard some people have issues with the HPFP's but I haven't had any issues yet. Oh almost forgot, the timing chains in the 4.2 fsi were "fixed" from the 40v, so no need to worry there! (Im sure they will still fail at some point near 140-150k miles but that's way better than the 60-90k that the 40v would fail at)
Thanks man, yeah I agree they’re solid! Hopefully neither of us have to deal with HPFP or timing issues but I guess only time will tell 🤣 thanks for watching!!
Question so is the 08 and 09 good to buy ? And I been researching them I only love to drive manuals lol they are just better to drive . But ummm I’m sure getting the timing chain done you could get it done without it being so badly expensive
