It’s interesting how JYP has tried to push Kendall to be the favorite for her charm, but the audience is clearly in love with Yuna and her personality. I think she has the kind of star quality that only other girls can recognize, if that makes sense. Not that there’s anything wrong with Kendall, but JYP really missed the opportunity to showcase the underdogs like Yuna.

Okay. Yuna HAS to debut. Her aura is insane. She definitely has the potential to become a K-pop artist. She was nervous for a lot of times but among those mists where we couldn't understand her properly I think she brought herself through this interview so confidently! And it's so comforting and assuring to see her unwrap her personality gradually ❤

I really like the on point question to Melissa: yeah you're great but can you be great in a group? If there's one thing I hate more in a group, it's groups that become "X and friends". All the groups I stan these days are those with impeccable teamwork, they don't try to outshine each other but instead they each shine with their own charms. With melissa, how she talks in the interview kinda showed a "soloist" mindset already. It's always talking about her and her experiences and feelings and you can see that she is happy with the attention, while Lexi was talking about how she wanted to bring out the confidence in people. Those things make or break a group's chemistry and chemistry is everything when fans decide to stan a group.

The fact that Lexi was able to earned the #1 spot by her peers and teachers is extremely impressive.
The first time I saw Yuna, I fell in love with her.
She's a likable character for no reason.
I love how she expresses her feelings without hiding them.
She is one of the few idols where you can see the raw humanity in her.

If nobody noticed, some of Yuna's confidence and conviction can be seen in the 3rd episode when she says that she made a Kpop based dance team in her school and said that they would be better than the original school dance team after they rejected doing Kpop performances. She was very confident that they would outshine them.
As JYP said, Kpop idols have to train like Olympic athletes. That is why JYP pays attention to Savanna. She cleary has talent in singing and dancing. And her smile is charming, very beautiful. And she worked as a gymnast, so I think she will do well in the Kpop training system.

@@elesaharrington There are not many left. Yuna Lexi Gina Melissa Cristina. Melissa best singer. Too good according to JYP to perform in a group. Lexi and Yuna best dancers But from the beginning JYP doesn’t want Yuna and denies her the dance stone which he gave to KG who can’t dance. Gina received weird comments : very good at the beginning then obviously unfair and meaningless : dance altogether perfect flawless and not alive. Not a good perspective
I feel most comfortable watching Yuna. She's always real. Even when in her shyness and uncomfortableness she is real, when she fools around or speaks herself she also is real
That’s actually very true, with other members you kind of feel like they want to hide how nervous they are (I would probably do the same😂) but Yuna is just true to herself, she admits when being nervous, but also calls out when she’s good at something! She is true to herself and is really comfortable being on camera! Fans are gonna love her self cams!

@sachanielsen9134 I used to hide my feelings a lot in the past and I'm still trying now to mot try and overcontrol everything in my surroundings including myself, so I love when people seem to just be brought up that way of not trying to be a different person. That's probably why it stood out to me so much. People always feel it when someone's faking it. It's just like a hunch, a feeling of "oh i don't know why but their behavior bothers me although they don't do anything wrong".
Of course people can have reasons to hide so you can't really blame them for that. It just feels uncomfortable for the watcher.
And I definitely don't have that feeling when I watch Yuna. There two more girls on this program who seemed to be same as her on that point, but I don't remember the names yet
For sure and I think that with training and her being around the enviroment that hopefully awaits her, she will have an easier time to open up and relax after a while, but also being a little shy is not bad as you said, she's a real one!

I noticed that! Throughout this I was like, wait we didn't get to see Mischa! I know that she didn't make it but still, as the viewer I was just waiting see some of her performances they cut. They make it so obvious who they are eliminating. The question they asked Mischa here was hurtful in my opinion. He basically told her she is less talented than the other girls. Children really shouldn't be on shows like this. It's too much pressure on a child.

I knew lexus/Lexi was a humble person from ep. One. Anyone can tell when you hear her speak and talked. On top of it all, she's so humble that she's willing to help the other climbs up in her area of strength and make sure they build confidence in themselves too. Well said and well done. *hand claps*
I feel like Yuna just needed time to be more comfortable not only with being on the show but also being around other contestants, it surely brought her more confidence to shine. Really excited to see her performance in the group mission!
Yes Lexus deserved it!!!! She doesn’t seem to have favoritism and is open to love everyone. I love seeing her playful side. She carries confidence not in a cocky way. I recognized that she isn’t the only one that wants to cheer everyone on bc I can see that with Camila and Christina as well and if she’s got the most vote then everyone were impacted by her drive to support the members. ❤

That interview went very badly for Gina, reinforcing the greatest fears JYP had for her going in, she did herself no favors but she's had time afterwards to rethink
Yuna is sooooo adorable and I love that she's slowly breaking out of her shell. She is one of the few contestants that I've seen in any audition show where her being shy, fidgety and nervous appears more cute than uncomfortable or worrisome. Even when she's nervous, she is not afraid to be vocal about it and instead makes it her charm point. Can't wait to see more of her.

(In this episode) along with Yuna did the best on their interview.
From the first time I saw Melissa, she just stood out to me. She has such a huge Hollywood star/singer quality that makes her stand out and outshine the other girls at times. And not to say that the others aren’t talented, but Melissa’s vocals are just so much more impressive and have depth and texture. I really hope that she gets noticed by a label to kickstart a solo career.

Savanna was able to express her thoughts and drive very well.
Savanna seems to be more mature in terms of knowing herself and where she wants to be. That she was calm because she know what to do in situations where everyone is a nervous wreck. The type you'd want to be around during emergency situations because she's rational, understanding and caring.
Savanna would be a great member for sure 💖

Wanna add two key, very endearing characteristics about Savannah. 1) She is very detail oriented and really wants to understand the things she is studying, she cares about the particulars but not obsessively 2) Savannah is a fast learner and a good teacher who happily shares her knowledge so the entire team can grow stronger, she is unselfish with her knowledge
Honestly I think Lexi would make a great leader of the group, she’s open, caring, honest, a team player, and encouraging and doesn’t seem biased, she seems to speak with everyone equally. Very humble and well spoken as well. She would do well with interviews with her thoughtfulness and calm, collected nature. Camila would be my second choice as leader because she also has a caring vibe so she’ll be like a good older sister to the team. Hopefully Lexi makes the group, she might not be the best singer right now but with some training I think she’ll do better and improve over time. That’s the only thing she lacks right now but otherwise she is amazing.
Seeing Yuna become more confident makes viewers more happy. Yuna got everything beautiful, dancing machine and Spanish speaking,tooooo
Yuna is so cute and has a bubble personality that most people like. I also think she has a good talent in dancing. She just needs to get the basic training and her style/character will shine through.

Cristina, Savanna, KG, Lexi, Kaylee, Camila, Yuna & Kendall are my favs to be the final group members so far.
Everytime Yuna's screentime, she just gives off a Disney Channel star vibe to me. Like she gives off that Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato star quality and star vibe when they were disney stars. I can't help but love watching her screentimes. You can cast her in a movie and I would have the same feeling as watching Selena and Demi. Even giving me a bit of Jenna Ortega Vibes. She has a celebrity Aura.

Noticed it too. Think behind the two dark sparkling twin pools that are her eyes, run deep and swift currents. If Savannah be your friend she will be true, faithful and fierce forever but also can be very girly tender and sweet.

I like the mindset Mischa has, you know she was quite strong when it comes to putting the present more than her past review, she will be great in a group that has great teamwork. Sometimes people tend not to set aside what their past have and still putting it in present without thinking the effect of those emotions to their group.

But i like her answer to JYP's question, thats why i look at her name, dont worry i dont even know others their i just look at their faces. You know group like Twice have a good teamwork i basically had imagine her being one member with that group, that have a great teamwork because you need that kind of mindset to put the whole group not just your own. Thats a big plus because it means that she cared for them, not letting everyone get down or to think for her own self to get in top alone, she thinks for others too.

Not joking, some of them are probably bots. Yuna isn't bad by any means but she has not shown the same star quality that Lexus, Melissa, KG, Gina, Camilla, and Kaylee have. Sadly I think Yuna and Mischa have shown the least amount of their personal talent. It isn't that they are not talented, but this has just not shown it.
They (clan) maybe also don't appreciate what it is to be in the same room competing with everyone else, it was freaking difficult and gonna test everyone in more ways than one. It's like the Olympics, take pride in making the qualifiers, the eliminations, its no reflection on who you are as a person, on your family or your people but it might be you next time long as you never give up and never stop training
Omg i'm so sick of JYPE making comments about savannah "lacking" drive or dedication every single episode. I have not ONCE seen or considered that and I have no idea how he is so sure of that conclusion. If anything, she seems like one of the most dedicated and hardworking people I've ever seen. It's seriously off-putting to me at this point how Savannah consistently excels in her performances, demonstrating extensive preparation, and yet JYP CONTINUES to be sure she is not driven. If I were Savannah, I probably would have quit the show by now if my hard work was constantly invalidated like that. And let's just say my answer would NOT have been as nearly as composed and thoughtful as hers was in regards to that bs question.
Agreed, I find JYP’s comments to be extremely vexing regarding her dedication to this. Considering how she also felt annoyed at JYP’s assumptions about her work ethic and dedication, I think that she handled his question very well.
I understand, my heart feels for you. At first I thought Savannah's long pause to consider her answer was to quell the anger impulse and not give a sharp answer. After more thought I believe Sav indeed was too smart, calm, kind-hearted and collected to self-sabotage her career by blowing her top, instead giving the best possible and honest answer JYP wanted to hear

And/or *Gina - lead vocal, lead dancer, (maknae) She’s turning 14, still too young to debut, especially in America. A2K concept could be more mature and not “cute/girly” like “generic Kpop”. Western lyrics are typically more mature. So putting those who celebrated their Sweet 16 already definitely will be age appropriate.
NEXT GEN JYP Kpop group:
• Kaylee - (half Korean, fluent in Korean), main vocal potential, lead dancer potential, Lily of Nmixx and Jihyo are great example of not debuting yet and pursuing the best training first.
*Gina - fluent in Korean, she’s the most ready to debut out of all the contenders, but age wise she’s still too young
• Mischa - so much potential and great attitude, she can train in Jype Korea
SOLOISTS:
Melissa and KG - there is no denying they’re soloists, and judging from the interviews and themselves, massive possibility they’re going to go leave the groups halfway and pursue their own solo career. They’re too talented singer-songwriters to be put in a group.

Some of these kids have some serious maturity and eloquence to them that is really something to see. I think Savannah handled that question so well, because it's easy to get defensive but she just explained herself clearly.

So proud of the team leader. Camilla is totally group leader material. The group with Gina had such a cute friendship, especially with Lexi. Lexi seems like such glue and reminds me of one of my best friends. This episode really made me fall in love with Yuna with her cute vlogs. All of the aforementioned are my favorite . They all NEED to debut!!
Every time Yuna fidgets or get nervous on camera. I Just wanna give her that big hug to boost her confidence. She is just so adorable !!!

The question to Savanna was weird. Since day one, she feels like the kind of person that has a lot of focus and constantly put extra effort to not be "just" good. And also feels like a team player so far. In terms of drive, I probably rank her as top 3. Yuna, you really can't leave her. She and Lexus feel like the emotional/fun core of the group and her style of dancing is just too unique to give it up.

It's an appropriate question and I'm glad that it was asked. Savanna was able to express her thoughts and drive very well.
Savanna seems more mature in terms of knowing herself and where she wants to be. That she was calm and know what to do in situations where everyone is a nervous wreck. The type you'd want to be around during emergency situation because she's rational, understanding and caring.

Yes, I really don’t understand why JYP is so skeptical of her. I’m glad the journalist was there to help him see bit of a different perspective. I think Savannah’s easygoing attitude is just off-putting to him for some reason.
My guess is he's used to seeing trainees being visibly emotionally invested in the process, so her carefree attitude comes across as odd to him. I think she was on the right track with her answer that this is the way she copes with stress (and this whole process is extremely stressful!) of the situation in order to keep herself calm - a very mature attitude for someone her age. The only problem is this can come off as being nonchalant to other people. He just wants to see drive and evidence that this lot REALLY want it, because then they'll have the determination to keep fighting through it, because being a K-Pop idol is the furthest thing from being easy!
I really hope that someone shows how badly they want it in their answers. That drive brings a fire that can be stoked. @@LilMoonieDragon

Yuna. This girl is my favorite along with Camilla. Although she lacks singing and dancing skills, she is very attractive. There's just something about her that makes her feel interesting. It makes you want to know more about her. She has that charisma on stage and definitely can catch your attentin easily because of her looks. Skills that are lacking can be trained and I believe she has what it takes to be a kpop idol. FIGHTING YUNA! I BELIEVE IN YOU!
Even though Yuna was nervous in past evaluations her personality is perfect for kpop. Like kendall, she has a natural cute and upbeat vibe about her even if she isn't extremely bold. Really hoping for her to debut.
I love the fact that they chose songs from 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations for the final team mission.

The last pair for interview was an interesting one. I have a feeling JYP will pick Yuna over Melissa. She already has the talented side, the cute side, and being authentic in a very humble way. Melissa is an amazing singer, so it will be hard to keep her from out shining the rest of the group. In other words, she is too much of a talent for a group. She is born to be a solo artist.
I agree for sure. For me, Yuna gives Idol vibes, Melissa gives me soloist vibes.
I'm thinking the same. Yuna- team mentality/Melissa- individual artist. Yuna gives off the feeling of warmth & comfort in the group & when she's talking on camera, whereas Melissa does not. Yuna seems ok with being herself, Melissa seems ok when she's singing.
I say it’s not that she’ll stand out too much but I feel like she is too used to being a soloist already so that’s why the question took her back for a moment. If she’s really serious I think I could see her getting more into the music field and even start composing and producing music for them. Like Soyeon in a sense. She just needs to get out of the “only I can stand out” mindset and work on being a team member and if she writes a song, to use every members’ strongest points and put it into songs. If she gets into the group I think she’s gonna do great, just hopefully doesn’t get too caught up wanting the attention for herself only. She knows she’s a great singer and that’s good, I just hope she is humble about it. And for Yuna, I’m hoping for a big comeback or else she won’t be going to Korea. Her vocal in the evaluation was not it, but hopefully through those vocal trainers teaching them may have helped, same with Lexi. They have naturally appealing singing voices but their technique is not good yet, I just hope they have the chance to work on it and all make it to Korea. Melissa isn’t the greatest dancer either so I’m hoping they all do great in their final performance as they’re in the same team.

This direction of Character Evaluation is really interesting to find out more about each contestants through off-stage presence in front of camera with others or on their own. The more we see their personalities and attitude in a team or with other contestants, the more we can imagine how they make group performance. Yes K-Pop girl group needs strong bond between team members as well as them and audiences. Really nice to see the interviews. Also I was happy to hear about thought from Savanna and Yuna so that I can see their inner belief, determination and passion. And nice to know that Lexy was so adored by other contestants and trainers to work together and be together, good factor to be in a team. Glad to see the playful side of Gina too, hope she can let her have fun more in the moment to give her best shot on the stage.
