If this is "tough", you probably don't want to see how Lisa was trained back in the days. I imagine the Korean trainers being much harsher as the talent pool in Korea is just off the charts.
I honestly think it’s so disrespectful/hurtful to single out members like that “she’s dancing it wrong” like who the fuck doesn’t know themselves?? It is not constructive criticism, by signalling her out it doesn’t help her in any way and as a result she gets more nervous and doesn’t perform well. for everyone saying lisa is “strict, scary,” mentor she’s just applying the lesson she learned when she’s a trainee, lisa dont want the girls to not achieve what they want..
True. If you can't stand or you easily get intimidated by her way of teaching, then you won’t survive the real world of an idol. It will be so much harsher.
I've watched every episode and all I feel is that Lisa is applying the standards in YG to train these trainees, and I wish I could have a strict mentor like her because she is the kind of person that can help you improve. I didn't know Lisa much before the show, and right now I am totally in love with her, not just because of her softness, power, and charisma on stage, but also how serious she becomes when it comes to dancing and performing, which perfectly explains why she is one of the most popular main dancers in K-pop girl groups. -- respect & love from China.
And she knows what's best I mean since she was a little little girl before yg she had tough mentors so she knows what can help them and pushing them is what is helping bcs there stages are on point compared to when they are practicing criticism and being strict in general is the best for everyone
@@carmenreed1831 I totally agree. And I've seen the fans of those trainees and the audience from the show forum appreciate Lisa's professionalism because they are well aware of the pressure their picked ones have to overcome if they really desire to become acknowledged idols. 😊
mrraiarj uhm base from what I read it's only exclusive for the cnetz living there since they cant use youtube there weibo is like there youtube Twitter and ig I guess :)
Y'all would criticize Lisa if she's too easy, and y'all are criticizing her for being too strict. Personally, I would rather have a mentor who knows what they're doing rather than one who is easy on every trainee. Being a competitive dancer myself, this is the norm - it takes discipline and drive, and obviously, she's going to hold the trainees to the same standards she was held at. If they can't get something down as simple as counting down fingers in time, netizens are going to tear them apart. Their role is to be an entertainer and she is simply preparing them so they can be the best - if they don't want to put in the effort or better themselves, then what's the point? (Edit: For those asking where these criticisms of Lisa are, they were here when this video was newly uploaded.)
I'm not a dancer, but I can say that this applies no matter what you decide to learn. I'm a programmer. Imagine if I wasn't dedicated to learning and improving. Eventually I'd be in a situation where I've worked on something important and it stops working and causes massive financial losses. Respect what you do, take it seriously, always try to improve.
She is being strict yes, but that's how things are done, she isn't being rude or aggressive about it, she simply isn't sugar coating it, as the quote goes, "the world ain't all sunshine and rainbows"
If y'all think Lisa is rude y'all probably never even stepped into a dance class. My dance mentor is really strict but she just wants me to be a better dancer, y'all should watch Dance Moms and then talk about being strict and all that stuff
Lisa is not tough. She wanted to see a perfect dance, but others aren't doing it. That's why she is so nervous and above all lisa she has a big heart of gold.
ok but dance moms really shouldnt serve as comparison because the behaviour displayed there is batshit crazy😅 of course everything else looks nice in comparison
Kriss B comparing to other mentors she is actually pretty light on them. She’s doing her job professionally, she’s not trying to lower their self esteem down she’s just trying to show that if you want to be an idol you should at least do your job right. You know alot of people hated her because she had a “fake cute” side but now we get to see her like this the hate comments still come in. But you know what she didn’t give a fucc. She continues to do what she does because she’s a queen.
Kriss B I 💯 agree to what Lisa say, the trainer must take this stress! If they can’t accept this level of criticism, please forget about debut! The stress level and criticism after debut is much more worse.
5:00 that girl is to blame. Lisa told her normally “smile.” But she stood her ground. They should listen to Lisa as a mentor. If they don’t want to listen, then why did they come? Lisa is an experienced idol and dancer. Thanks to her smile, Lisa conquered many. She should have happy because her mentor is Lisa
Girl calm down. Nineone took Lisa’s advice very well and overcame it. You should watch it and see what happens instead of assuming that she’s just not listening.
that girl was just too nervous. she was trying very hard to concetrate and remember every move. she even said that she tried very hard to follow the other two cause the music was fast and that she hadn't learnt the whole choreo. so, it must have been hard for her to concetrate to all those things AND try to control her facial expressions.
Melissa O i think so too. i'm honestly really worried for lisa cos now that i think of it, it must've been really really hard for the pinks as trainees but at the same time i'm happy cos they've achieved this far bcs of their persistence and hard work.
youre right TUKO TUKOMI she just want to the trainee to be strong to face the hardship to fulfilled their dreams Like lisa and the other member of black pink .All the strict that she doing to the trainee is for them also to achieve what Lisa achieves 😊
I rememberer in an interview no one was allowed to speak english to her so that she would learn Korean language quicker that is why she would always stay up late than the other girls because aside from practicing she has to double time learning Korean quick. Imagine practicing dances with a language barrier, then she always excell, man Im so damn proud of her.
I just saw a pic of YG's president with a shoe in his hand while coaching and he told the trainees that this shoe will land on you if you fail to do it right!!! (There are some pics that show how strict the montors in YG just shown in Blackpink YG thailand facebook)
Chinese fans love her! I don’t get where hate is coming from, but Lisa being strict is a compliment since she is doing her job seriously and it shows that she truly cares about the success of the trainees. ❤️
I love how Lisa teaches the contestants. She's doing it right. She's applying the methods on how to train the trainees in Korea. It is really tough but everybody must put up with it for them to be on top. Lisa is on the highest level today because of what she have been through during her trainee years. Ps. And OMG. Lisa just appreciated my bias. Babymonster An is the best! Go for the win!
Someone already said it on twitter, but “if you think she’s being rude you obviously haven’t taken a dance class.” The best dance teachers are the ones who are tough on their students because it pushes them to work hard. If Lisa was softer on the trainees they wouldn’t try as hard and they wouldn’t realise they are doing the small details like the heart sign wrong
I'm glad I don't have twitter. Most people I see in these comments are praising her and honestly I have become a HUGE fan of her because of her honesty and strictness. Those people just want to drag her for unnecessary reasons. Lisa knows what she is doing and damn I'm really impressed with her!
My dance teacher was always like this, I'd didn't matter if you were an advanced dancer or not She told you what you did wrong. Never sugar coated anything. If you did something wrong she went up and said it as it is. As a dancer I think that really helped me because it pushed me to give it my all and do a better job. so what Lisa is doing isn't mean at all. She knows what shes doing and she wants to push them so they can be successful like her.
My dance teacher used to call me a prissy little bitch every time i fucked up🤣🤣 Lisa is actually being really nice! There are some teachers out there who would make you wanna cry and mine made me feel stupid but bought me champagne afterwards 🤦🏾♀️ she’s making them better at dancing because that’s what she’s the best in, I saw a comment somewhere saying that she’s being really rude and not considerate to their feelings and it made scoff
exactly what i was going to say. This applies on ANY kind of teacher or instructor as well. if they go soft on you, you'll never realise how bad you're doing, or how important it is; and then you won't try because you think it isn't serious.
From an educational perspective, being tough doesn't help. And she shouldn't bother because they don't know some details like it's something they should know. They are trainees
For people saying Lisa is being “too strict” she is not trying to be strict as you heard her say. She was just trying to help and teach them. She even helped blackpink they were doing one thing wrong and then when Lisa said something about it and they got it right. She’s wanting them to have feeling when she told that girl to have more feeling she ignored it and didn’t do it she didn’t raise her voice at her she never did.
The woman literally said in the beginning: I am being serious because the industry needs serious if you’re not perfect it won’t go. Im not at all surprised she’s being strict with these girls and I actually prefer it to her being more ‘nawwww its all chiiilll’ all the time. It shows that she takes her job seriously.
I've done karate and my instructors are super chill outside of our dojo. During training, they are very strict and serious, but I promise that this has only helped me get better quicker. I wouldn't have pushed myself hard enough and taken my training 200% serious if they hadn't taken it seriously to begin with. Lisa is doing the right thing for sure.
Ya it's really true cuz it's like Lisa got to her skill level and success through prolly being extremely strict with herself. So she's just keeping it 100 and showing them how they can succeed
iu hue are you the crazy one ?? She went through the same and she was was even younger than them and went through it for years and it was probably more tougher than this. This is nothing to her. If you can’t expect to have a mentor like this, then don’t expect to debut either.
iu hue people like Lisa who teaches/mentor like this are the best you could ask for. She’s nice as a person but when it comes to business, it’s business. How would u expect a group of people to be disciplined if u act too soft.
Many people are critizing Lisa because they say that she is being so strict, but in reality, she did not come to make friends. She came to teach and help the apprentices to be better. So please, don't criticize for stupidities.
But then again, she came to help some TRAINEES to get better at dancing and all that!! Like she even got mad because that one girl didn’t smile, don’t you think she was to harsh on them. Because I know they are learning they are not pro dancers like Lisa.(I’m not hating I love Lisa with all that I have left in my heart so don’t get mad please!!!!)
@@hobisunflower3440 that's the purpose of the lesson though, if you're performing everything must be perfect from the movements to the expressions. Trust me it is similar to a theater rehearsal cause I've been on one
Hobi World You obviously haven't taken a dance class before. Some mentors are even harsher than LISA. You do notice that most of the best dancers in the world have VERY, and I mean VERY harsh mentors. If LISA was soft at them, they wouldnt be as good of a dancer and they wouldn't learn quicker and learn to focus on small details.
Hobi World not really. Lisa is there to teach them and make them learn from their mistakes. Her being strict is her caring that they do it well and they don’t embarrass themselves.
Everyone is saying "Lisa is not rude! She's just being a responsible mentor" - literally thousands of these comments. Yet I haven't actually seen anyone actually calling her rude or mean yet. 🤣
Line Distribution Pro same here I feel so bad for her :( yea maybe it was bc she didn’t practice as hard but what if she did? And she just doesn’t get that part? She really was precious🥺🥺
She will eventually be doing better and its all thanks to Lisa for telling her where she needs to improve. All her tears will be worth it because she has the right mentor who would guide her
I also experienced that when i was a trainee on our local group, and i can say that pressence of mind is a key. She will be improving soon, we'll hope for the best for her and all of the girls.
Honestly tho Lisa's still soft compared to other dance teachers but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm so happy we can see this side of Lisa as well
I can see myself standing aside just admiring how cool she is and I'm so lucky to have this teacher and I'm gonna do my best and reach the top as se wants me to btw they said in the show her main position is dancer but she is a rapper too right? Sorry I just heard kill this love I'm not exactly a Stan yet I guess I'll be one after this show😂😬 but what are her positions in her group?
Ah yes, I remember Jennie telling in an interview that only Lisa get grade A in their monthly exam where they sing, rap and dance. They do solo, duo and group. They choose the song they sing or dance to. They choose their own outfit and do their own make up. They were graded in every aspects from self presentation to stage performance.
Put yourself in the trainee's position, she bring a lot of emotional pressure to them which is not a good way of teaching. Maybe it's YG's negative influence.
Nah you don't always have to be strict for someone to well perform a cheoreography. In a show called The Unit for example, a guy named Daewon teached a band how to dance and he wasn't strict at all. He kept encouraging them to do better each time and the band ended up improving a lot. Even the most harsh dance teacher like Bae Yoon Jung gave some compliments sometimes and some trainees gaines some confidence, so it prooves that Lisa wasn't too harsh. It also shows that people can do well under pressure but little compliments and kindness keep them going, so even though Lisa said they didn't do the moves right, she showed them what to do without being too strict and that's what all dance teachers should do. She had the right balance between strict and kind. (so my point is I don't agree with the fact that all teachers have to be strict, but I agree with the fact that she wasn't rude)
“No matter how hard it is, she has to do it.. She needs to push herself hard. She needs to aspire for something better and success.”.... Damn, I love that. Rule of success by Lisa.
If she does not act like this, the trainees will focus more on fangirling over lisa than train. Its simple, If she doesnt push them to their limit, they wont ever take things as serious and wont debut
Well yeah but she is being way too strict and choosing the best dancers. she says that there is something wrong with them crushing their self confidence by doing so
@@lukalomidze8446 believe it or not that's the reality... i'm not siding with her but i think she's training the girls the best way she knows how and maybe it was also how they were trained in yg before... she's just reapplying it to the girls for them to be successful like the way she is now
Exactly, my dance teacher is always harsh and strict with me and my friends but she has always said the she is like that because she wants ous to succeed, be better and to do our best on our performance. (Btw I love your videos)
Honestly she’s not even being that strict - the way she talks is not offensive or rude - some people just can’t handle confrontation of any sort. My girl killing it in the field 👌
As a person who dances Ballet, I can tell you she's being super nice. Dance teachers are usually SUPER tough, and Lisa was being kind. I really would like a teacher like her, my dance teachers are like the demons themselves, but at the end, they just want the best for us.
Ya they are 🤣 I have been dancing since I was 2 . And that means I have been dancing for 9 years . And they are actually quite like demons . But I love dancing ♡ And you are really true , Lisa is not going hard on them .
I agree. I think if we stan any kpop groups/artists, we all know how hard they have to overcome to debut. I cried almost every debut video of any kpop groups. The fact that they have to keep practicing and practicing non stop, being yell by the trainers, and they didnt even know they exact date they can or will debut, that hurts, some was a trainee for 10 years or more. At least here, everyone has a timeline. For kpop idols, no one promise you about that.
@@danyyyyyyyy so what is your point lmao s/he didn't even say anything about other girls. I'm blink but you btches always be like 'all blackpink members are' when it comes to lisa so shut up
@@peachyx5081 yeah im just a bit emotional about this topic cause yesterday i watched Seventeen video before debut when their family came and gave them the rings 😭 i cried like a baby seeing them all crying haha
Okay, anyone bashing Lisa is someone who doesn't want to learn and get better. They are training to be IDOLS, basically. You have to be waaay better than the rest.
Ikr infact being strict with trainees will make them afraid but also motivate them to work harder, people aren't trying to understand this fact, lisa is fulfilling her job, many mentors in this world have to be harsh , lisa is not the only one
I never get why people complain about mentors being “strict” like...they are using their energy and staying focused in order to make sure these girls are doing their best. If they are pushed to the point where they improve and succeed everyone will be satisfied with the result. Isn’t that the whole point?
@@saram3449 some of them even don't think it's that hard cause most trainees would think that their trainers would make everything sweet and simple when they haven't even seen this idols who probably trained for 6 years have to experience this for like 6 years (I'm not pointing to this trainees but to trainees around the world who think it's a piece of cake)
Honestly, no one likes being talked to harshly or being criticized. It's simply human nature, but it's important to realize that the criticism is only there to make people better and get them work smarter. It's natural to be offended at first but then it's important to push past it and do better. One day the trainees will probably thank Lisa for being honest with them and encouraging them to do better.
Yeah, I remembered my mom teaching me how to read "thought" when I was in grade school. English is not my native language and she was like "WHY CAN'T YOU READ THIS IT'S ONLY ONE WORD" like qurl

True. If you can't stand or you easily get intimidated by her way of teaching, then you won’t survive the real world of an idol. It will be so much harsher.

Who’s back here after watching Lisa teach the kids to dance? Lol
Me
I've watched every episode and all I feel is that Lisa is applying the standards in YG to train these trainees, and I wish I could have a strict mentor like her because she is the kind of person that can help you improve.
Thankyou for loving lisa 😊🤗

I agree with you!
Exactly! I'm a dancer too and being trained like what she do would be a great previlige. In no time, you'd really improve a lot.

@@krissb6105 Pointing out the trainee's mistakes even on small details and spending time with them until they fixed those is admirably patient to me.
She should have happy because her mentor is Lisa
u dumb
Girl calm down. Nineone took Lisa’s advice very well and overcame it. You should watch it and see what happens instead of assuming that she’s just not listening.
that girl was just too nervous. she was trying very hard to concetrate and remember every move. she even said that she tried very hard to follow the other two cause the music was fast and that she hadn't learnt the whole choreo. so, it must have been hard for her to concetrate to all those things AND try to control her facial expressions.
If Lisa wouldn’t be strict everybody will just play around, she has to be strict so that the girls will take it more seriously
True and she really have a soft side for them it’s just that she want them to be successful and to improve for their own sake
Melissa O i think so too. i'm honestly really worried for lisa cos now that i think of it, it must've been really really hard for the pinks as trainees but at the same time i'm happy cos they've achieved this far bcs of their persistence and hard work.

Wow!Lisa do very good.I love you Lisa!!!
And it's like every teachers, trainers, mentors and/or instructors trait ever, teach/train their students to the very best they can be.
Yess
Ready Freddie?
Yup! If a mentor isn’t serious or strict, the trainees won’t take it serious and take advantage of the mentor.
Exactly, she isn't being strict, she is being quite liberal
Lisa’s discipline deserves respect 100%. She deserves to be called a mentor.
iu hue are you the crazy one ?? She went through the same and she was was even younger than them and went through it for years and it was probably more tougher than this. This is nothing to her. If you can’t expect to have a mentor like this, then don’t expect to debut either.

why are people saying “Lisa is being too strict”?. The more strict and serious she is, the better they perform the choreography.
That's how a mentor/teacher should be.
That's what i said!
Yeah true it's nice to have a strict mentor because u can focus or u can make it all right
Put yourself in the trainee's position, she bring a lot of emotional pressure to them which is not a good way of teaching.
Lisa really put her hundred percent in everything she does.

I mean shes not being rude she's just being honest. She's not there to be there friends she's there to teach. And tbh if u think this is rude clearly none of you have seen Dance moms
Oh I hate Abby lee form dance moms ur right Lisa isn’t that strict compared to her
@@mpenziali5561 And that's on facts!!!
@@mpenziali5561
Same
@luiz manzano facts! i mean on episode 1 of 24/365 they literally tease Lisa for her tough mentorship lol
Sorry luiz manzano😭😭
I’m not a dancer, but I have seen many dance shows and seen dance instructors far more strict and mean towards the dancers. Lisa is that mentor who’s tough on you yet she actually helps you improve and make the dance look amazing
I'm even more in love with Lisa now 😊
Lisa is basically Gordon Ramsay if he was a dance teacher.
P.S. if you think that she’s rude, you should watch Dance Moms.
Yes there is way more strict than Lisa .
Ya exactly the point . There the dance teacher abby says abusing words to their performance
ily
Ya actually. That is true . Hey and also jojo siwa , nia , kendall, kalani and many more
@Karen luvs Jesus ziegler sisters u mean?
lisa is a lot like my dance teacher bc my teacher never smiles during class but if she does that means you made her proud
Samee
Lisa knows what shes doing I do the same thing when I teach a choreography
Lisa's reputation is waving,
while saying 'Hi, that's why I exist.'
*slow clap
If Lisa was my mentor I would cry coz I’m sensitive af😭 but I really like the way she teaches it makes you want to achieve a higher level 😘💗
hey❤
