  • Fellow youtuber ‪@TheKANSASKIDD‬ released a few videos recently where he talked about chunky silver vs. thick silver. I expand on his definitions and show some examples of my favorite THICK silver bullion pieces--and a few rare chunky ones, too! If you like your bullion with junk in the trunk, you'll love these pieces!
Check out and subscribe to ‪@TheKANSASKIDD‬ , and if you're interested, check out the Stacking Mexican Silver series where I talk in depth about the chunky silver Libertads and all of Mexico's silver coins from colonial Spain to the modern era:

Thick vintage silver is my favorite to collect! It’s about all I buy anymore. I have enough rounds eagles and maples.

Chunky for sure. I like the 10 oz Valcambi bars.

Good video and even better comment about the pre-internet days of using your LCS. Here in the UK we have about one fifth of the USAs population but now less than a dozen traditional coin shops across the whole of Scotland/England/Wales/Northern Ireland. Use them or lose them folks. They’ll never return when their gone 👍

I appreciate your commentary…😁 “thick” silver lol. I think Salivate Metal made chunky a cool term again

Maybe we need further discourse on the differences in the terms ingot and bar? Could they be used differentially? I think of modern thinner stuff as bars and thicker vintage ones as ingots. Just my opinion here. Cheers!

Working on a video that better defines these terms. Great minds think alike!
