The bike that got me hooked. A neighbor had one of these (a red '72) and gave me a 10-minute ride when I was 13. Now, at 65 and 11 motorcycles later, I'm still riding. Thanks Honda!

My wife and I visited the Museum yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Tons of great bikes and memorabilia. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even got to see Ken do a wheelie!

When I was 16 years old, living in Illinois, the law did not allow anyone under 18 years old to ride a bike over 125cc on the street. My dad had this exact bike, and sometime I would take it for a ride anyway. This thing was a ripper for its size. I was riding 2-stroke dirt bikes, so I was used to high revving engines. I would wind this bike to the RED Line, almost 11,000 rpms, and it was awesome. It has an over-square engine so it had no problem revving. It sounded incredible at 11,000 rpms when I shifted, especially from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th gear. It never missed a lick. Great bike. A typical bullet-proof Honda.
A 1971 CL175 got me into building. I picked up a 1979 XLH1000 on Friday and started the tear down yesterday. Good God, I love this life.
You have that little classic vintage Honda looking amazing. Looks brand new out of the crate. Great learner's bike, or to putt around town on to run errands. Y'all turn out bikes very quickly, so this puts into perspective how many bikes Mr. Zahner had. I hope his son watches this video. Mr. Zahner is smiling down from Heaven, with how good y'all have made his bikes look. ML&R.
Awesome history in motion, please put it in the Museum this something future generations need to see.

I had the gold over white when I was 16. Great city bike.
My very first bike was a brand new 1971 CT 70 automatic. The Honda dealer was just a few blocks away from home. Yamaha dealer across the road. Us kids hung out there them early yrs and drooled over these bikes and when we would be older ( and bigger ) to own them. These bikea were indestructable . . Honda's anyhow. Good ole days for sure. 🇺🇸

I bought a gold ‘71 version at 16. I remember I paid $827.56 Canadian. Great bike, no sidestand (?) why, I do not know. If I had my girlfriend on the back the fender would rub the tire. Took it back to the dealer/chain saw store to get the kickstand back in shape and they caught the fuel line overflow on gore and burnt the motor and some paint, melted one of the sidecpvers. Painted the motor with VHT silver - it never looked the same. Sold it to a kid in my class. Loved that first bike… love that one too Kenny. ✅
My uncle PETE HAS THAT same bike and color .he bought new and still rides it. Nice ride .

These early CBs are very cool and cute "colored" bikes. When complete and with original paint they are beautiful and classics. 175cc (twin) is a great engine size.
-if you demand a beautiful and classic Honda twin you should consider this or another around this year. 70/71 years are nice and some colors are rare.

I had the the same bike ,drove it couple years, was a smooth runner it had the newer style tank tho, I traded a Kawasaki LTD1000 that had a timing chain issue for it, still wish I had the kawi1000 lol
Very, very nice. You guys have and make the cleanest stuff. Lotsa smiles per mile. Not quite the same, but we have a CJ360T...not much power but ride it for only a few minutes and have a smile all day long. Someone would be lucky to have your CB175. Ride it once a month, every other month, and add years to your life.

I had the blue one like this one I put 50k on it just revvin' the nuts off of it in the red line most of the time ! still didn't use a drop of oil didn't have any oil leaks or weird noises in the motor still looked new ...and maaaan she did make some pretty noises with them open megaphone pipes 😁

Perhaps the angle is deceptive but that chain appears to be too tight.
Why are the forks in primer and not painted to match tank etc ?
Honda Cloud silver is the paint we used on fork lowers
That's a beauty. Did they come with a plastic extender on the rear mudguard? I've seen them with it, looks like it fits on the metal bracket on the mudguard this one has.

That's an absolutely nice motorcycle. Looks like the only difference between that one and mine is the exhaust that one has exhaust that runs down both sides. My CL is 2 into one and runs down the right hand side, but everything else seems to be the same. I'm just curious if that's the difference between a CL and a CB? Mine has 1500 original miles and is all original
They never came with a tune into one pipe that was an aftermarket Edition
@@KaplanCycles my 1972 Honda cl175 was purchased around 79 to 80. I had no idea that it wasn't original. Now my fenders front and back are painted orange as well to match the bike. I appreciate the info!
