You got me f***** up I'm born and raised in the gonella's hood you forgot the two different roles you can get hardware and software oh and that the sauce is definitely the bomb of it
I go into a good Italian seli with the best of intentions. I'm just spending x amount....or I'm just getting this and thats it!!!!.....never happens. I come out with enough food to feed an army.....can't help myself.....thanks Italian culture.....irresistible.
That place looks so good! I would love to try their sausage as well. If you’re ever on the east side hit up the Detroit Style Pizza Company for an awesome baked Italian sub!
They actually did get the shooters, unfortunately for timing purposes we left that out. They looked amazing and ill have to go back to try one for myself but just couldn't eat anymore after the huge sub I got. Amazing place!
By far my favorite place for subs. Many are good, several are great, just a few are outstanding, Original Gonella's is the BEST.
i grew up in Detroit and have never been there. I'm definitely going on my next visit home.
I go there all the time. One of the best if not THE best subs in the country.
Just walking in is magic from the smells. Hard roll/full size/mustard/oil on the side/bliss.
Great place...quality food. Love the peppers stuffed with cheese and prosciutto. omg.
We get hungry just hearing about them!
Wow! The middle of that sandwich looks like a meat dictionary! Amazing!

I hit that spot and the one on Telegraph between Plymouth and Chicago
My uncle owns this place.. I'm from Windsor tho he's the Detroiter
Your uncle has a staple of Detroit in terms of subs! We loved it!
I remember going to the Gonellas that used to be on Outer drive most of my childhood. It definitely tastes like childhood to me too lol.
The look on their faces after the first bite is this is overkill.
Love Gonella's!! Best sub I've ever had!

It's been about 20 years since I've had the pleasure.... But, I seem to remember tons of super thin sliced onions?

Wind, hit up Sobieski's for the best sausage. Across the street from "Mikes Ham" east of old tiger stadium.
I'm gonna try it because of Kyle
get a tub of pepper shooters when you go!

I loved it as well! H&M I believe for their fall collection if you wanted to scoop one yourself! :D
@@DeadlineDetroit It's so cozy too
The 14 layer is the truth plus they have Frostie pops and other local made goodies.
OLD SCHOOL IS GOOD.
You also forgot to smell that would attract people to you like f****** vampires
You remind me of the guy from silicon valley lol
Oakwood Heights be the neighborhood in Detroit
Just saw to dudes eating.
No building the sub. Bro...
Why are they putting shredded lettuce on Italian sandwiches? And why isn't the bread loaf longer????
Shit the hell up
2:50 $9.00 for that sandwich? This was obviously filmed before we were all lucky enough to experience Biden's America. Try $22.00 today.
The Dude in the back of van on left seriously needs a a hair cut ridiculous!
Meh! I wasn’t impressed!
Your taste buds need sharpening.
