Hello Marillion fans arround the world I am the guy who Steve Hogarth took the Marillion banner from during the encore Garden Party. My name is Marc Wollenhaupt from Toronto and I would like to say a special hello to my friend Joe Taylor who was at the concert by my side as we did for many shows from many great bands. As life goes me and joe went our separate ways only to be reunited in 2013 for the Marillion Convention in Montreal where I shook Steve's hand as he sang Script For A Jesters Tear which was again an encore. Some sort of semitree maybe but I know it felt like the three of us were never apart. I have been a Marillion fan right from the begining in 1982 and it has been the jewel of my life of which I am most proud of being a part of and give a big thanx to Marillion for being there when the rest of my life seems so bleak and thanx Steve for being such a fine gentleman not keeping my banner but only showing the Marillion colours with pride. Cheers to all of you.... and Joe if you are out there keep the faith brother and contact me through face book.........
Hello Marc, they are absolutely brilliant and have done the same for me when life gets a little too rough. Music like theirs cannot help but lift a dispirited mind/body..
Marc, are you headed to the concert in October in Toronto at the Danforth Music Hall? Expensive fucking tickets, but I'm probably going to go. My name is Brian and I saw Marillion on this same tour but at the Ottawa show. It was superb like this one.
Fantástico ,gran concierto y de ver a Mr Hogart cantar los temas era Fish,lo mejor es que Marillion no cayo en lo común de buscar un vocalista con un timbre similar al predecesor, grande Marillion espero verlos en vivo alguna vez !!!
Perhaps nothingless forever !!! A band like Marillion make you understand what means the progressive rock until today with the last work "Sounds That Can't Be Made" a fantastic prog album. Long life for all they, and sorry for my english guys!!!!
People make a big deal out of both Steves, and rightly so, but everybody seems to forget Pete Trewayvas (sp) the bass player. He's Very good at what he does, probably in the top 20 or 15 of rock bass players I've heard.
What a treat! Thank you for uploading mate. Last time I saw Marillion was in 1991 in Germany in a small venue.. Steve just has that "special something".. great voice and huge stage presence..
Holy Fahk!!! I was at this concert with the gang from Weston...that's just too fahk'n wild man... My name is Bud, or known as Uncle Bud to buddies. What was wierd is how the singer couldn't believe how we, the audience, sang all the Clutching at Straws album louder than him...a fanfahk'ntastic time was had by all...truely a memorable experience...exellent...thanx
Thanks for posting. Many things I enjoy about this show but one in particular is the slightly altered intro for Holidays in Eden at 7:10 I kinda wish Steve had played it that way on the album.
Wow I had no idea that this was filmed! I was there! That was the only time that I ever saw the band live. I was only 25 years old...now I'm 45. Awsome show though. Brilliant!!! :)
oh yeah! What a great Video to watch late at night! By the way: i love how the Pitch drops a semitone at the most emotional part of "waiting to happen"... quite funny :-)
Great band, they were awesome with Fish and they managed to do very good with H. In this particular concert was a fine surprise to see H singing Clutching at straws material. They deffinitely are talented in the whole. (Y)
wow! Those were the days.........Steve H was the ultimate frontman.....still is.......I'm sorry but the songs on this album are truly, truly amazing!!!!! The new one's are too but not as exciting?????
Best show I've seen with Hogarth, he manages the Fish material reasonably well, and the rest of the band is as awesome as ever. I have never managed to like his voice too much though I respect him a lot for other reasons. Still this is a very enjoyable video.
If you check the podcast 'The Corona Diaries' you will hear h talking with Ant Short about, when he's not laughing...anything really, but it also includes him reading from his diaries. They are, in mid October, still reading parts from early '91, so this gig has yet to come.
I find the ignorant audience a huge distraction in this footage! How could you be making so much disturbing noise when a fantastic band is playing live!!???
Christopher Wright I saw them on the 'Afraid of Sunlight' tour at the TLA in Philadelphia. (A town known for being quite rowdy.) I have never attended a more well behaved show, with an extremely appreciative audience. Maybe the exception...but making blanket assumptions about anything is silly.
Are they have some kind of devil pact or some thing like that? I am in my fiftys and when I was in my thirteens they were appear fourteens, my accounting doesn´t working good, jajaja. They should be their children bbbuuu.
If I've got the time period right...the gloves are a MIDI output. So when he touches his mic stand, body or anything else it plays a sequence. If you're familiar with Marillion's recent live shows...when H is 'playing' the cricket bat, it does roughly the same thing, because the bat has been hollowed out and filled with MIDI equipment to do the same job. Which, according to the band's manager, made fun going through US airport security....they thought it was a bomb or something!
+A Hogg If you ever get a chance to watch the 'Stoke Row To Ipanema' video there's a section on it where Steve explains all about the gloves, the band then do an improvised piece to showcase the brand new gloves (from memory I think the track was named Eric)? Yep, all MIDI and completely cutting edge at the time. I assume the cricket bat has taken over the mantel ~ when it is functioning as it should !!
Steve Reigate Why do people make such a big deal out of Fish? His voice is definitely no better than Hogarth's, and worse in my opinion. He was such an uppity prick he left the band after only 4 albums, thinking a solo career would be better. His attempts at dressing up in live concerts are sad copies of Peter Gabriel. The only reason kids liked him was because in live concerts he couldn't say a sentence without dropping at least 1 f-bomb (profanity is the last refuge of the ignorant). No, Steve Hogarth is great on his own and doesn't deserve to be compared to a has-been who only made 4 albums with a great band.
everyone that say that this era of marillion is the best...u never saw it with fish...i discovered the early marillion...far more better....fish gave emotions that hoggarth could never come close to....musicaly it is awsome...but never as good as the early days..sorry,,my opinion!
frogl2112 Yup, its my opinion, different strokes for different folks. Nothing against the new singer, I just don't like his voice, never did. Just like, I have hated ACDC ever since Bon Scott died. You may like them, but I don't. Doesn't make me a bad person, no more than it makes you a bad person if you like them
John Mason I agree, nothing to do with good or bad people. I've been a great Yes fan, over the years they´ve changed their line ups importantly a few times, however I do like Yes simply because they continue reinventing theirselves with new music. No need for a Jon Anderson while someone else gives his best to achieve the right feeling and mood for the characteristic Yes´ sound. So for me it is ok to live with a no Fish Marillion. I enjoy their music and as with the Yes case, I can always go and follow Jon Anderson on his new musical adventures in the same way as I can go and chase Fish. Actually I think we all have the benefit of getting more interesting music with the bands and their former singersand their alone careers... Cheers from sunny Mexico!
+John Mason Marillion is what these guys want it to be whether you like it or not. Chill out already and enjoy Fish' solo material instead (i know I do).
I never said that these were anyone else's opinions, just my own. And I am entitled to let them be known. I just never ever liked the new singer's voice!!

hi Marc. was about four behind you that night! incredible show.
I'm 16 again. What a voice he has got.. truly blessed
Another singer, another person, his own style, his own voice, I like it, great band!
YEEEAAAAHH! I used to have this bootleg on f***ing VHS! Never thought I would see it again. Thanks so much!
I saw them in '92 at Midtfyns Festival in Denmark. Great evening. During The Space I thought I could die a happy man.
What a great hidden gem; I just love Marillion !!!
Fantástico ,gran concierto y de ver a Mr Hogart cantar los temas era Fish,lo mejor es que Marillion no cayo en lo común de buscar un vocalista con un timbre similar al predecesor, grande Marillion espero verlos en vivo alguna vez !!!

Wow. I barely remember the '90s but Marillion was with me through out. I do remember that concert in Toronto. Awesome...thanks for posting!
Dr.Oz
Amazing, perfect, marvellous. I'm bursting into tears.

It's great to see them again, young and full of oomph!

I saw them this tour at Le Brique in Montreal..probably the same week as this...
This was my first Marillion tour - saw them a few nights after this in NYC and was hooked for life! thanks for posting!!!

They are the Champions !!!!!
"Crashing your car in Amsterdam" is such a great line.
I was there two nights in a row San Jose and San Francisco CA!
Thank You! An excellent piece of Marillion history.
I saw them the day after (3.26.1992) in Montreal... Amazing performance, great memories!
Thanks for posting. Many things I enjoy about this show but one in particular is the slightly altered intro for Holidays in Eden at 7:10 I kinda wish Steve had played it that way on the album.

Steve Hogarth is amazing
Love it!!! Thanks!!
I was at this show! Very cool. Except now I feel old.
great crowd!!
GAWD I LOVE THIS - THANKS!
oh yeah! What a great Video to watch late at night! By the way: i love how the Pitch drops a semitone at the most emotional part of "waiting to happen"... quite funny :-)

Where's Brian potter ?
Steve Hogarth is the best!!!
It was Fish "flipping through the channels on the TV....." not Hogarth.
Made Again Tour.... The Great Bootleg!!!!
How can this be 92 when the album came out 94?
It came out in 1991. Toured 1991/1992.
If you check the podcast 'The Corona Diaries' you will hear h talking with Ant Short about, when he's not laughing...anything really, but it also includes him reading from his diaries. They are, in mid October, still reading parts from early '91, so this gig has yet to come.
34:34 - 36:10 : I don't know a word to describe this feeling ...
31:03... If there is a definition for magic, it must be this...
I don't want to hear Fish sing "splintering Heart"... ;-)
(I'm sorry, I love Fish, but Things change...)
1:35:27
Over the Top>>>>
Même si c'est bon, cela n'égalera jamais la performance de Fish(ses prestations de dingue,sa voix inimitable ).Vive MARILLION
:):)
I find the ignorant audience a huge distraction in this footage! How could you be making so much disturbing noise when a fantastic band is playing live!!???
Agree
They are north Americans are they not? That would explain it....
Christopher Wright I saw them on the 'Afraid of Sunlight' tour at the TLA in Philadelphia. (A town known for being quite rowdy.) I have never attended a more well behaved show, with an extremely appreciative audience. Maybe the exception...but making blanket assumptions about anything is silly.
the camcorder is in the audience so is recording close by people
Lets hope they come to the USA soon! I am surprised they don't get the credit they deserve. Love these guys.
Great Bootleg ;))
Are they have some kind of devil pact or some thing like that? I am in my fiftys and when I was in my thirteens they were appear fourteens, my accounting doesn´t working good, jajaja. They should be their children bbbuuu.
You can go away now.
Great bootleg, but not so rare ;)
Why is he wearing Michael Jackson's gloves?
If I've got the time period right...the gloves are a MIDI output. So when he touches his mic stand, body or anything else it plays a sequence. If you're familiar with Marillion's recent live shows...when H is 'playing' the cricket bat, it does roughly the same thing, because the bat has been hollowed out and filled with MIDI equipment to do the same job. Which, according to the band's manager, made fun going through US airport security....they thought it was a bomb or something!
he is using midi gloves, he can launch sounds and notes with it.
Hernan Reyes Wow! Never heard of them. Great idea.
The band sounds awesome and is as tight as a drum with one missing ingredient….
FISH...

No, Steve Hogarth is great on his own and doesn't deserve to be compared to a has-been who only made 4 albums with a great band.
good concert but not as good as when fish was the lead singer
everyone that say that this era of marillion is the best...u never saw it with fish...i discovered the early marillion...far more better....fish gave emotions that hoggarth could never come close to....musicaly it is awsome...but never as good as the early days..sorry,,my opinion!
Sorry, NO FISH, NO MARILLION!!
Honestly? After almost 25 years you still come up with these comments?
frogl2112 Yup, its my opinion, different strokes for different folks. Nothing against the new singer, I just don't like his voice, never did. Just like, I have hated ACDC ever since Bon Scott died. You may like them, but I don't. Doesn't make me a bad person, no more than it makes you a bad person if you like them
