Oh, man, Baldrax has a generator for taking Houdini environments and loading them into TaleSpire. Things are getting crazy - clips.twitch.tv/LittleSucculentSharkVoteYea-59URL40ltXbQeQgu
Thanks for the kind words! My editing could use a LOT of work (like, there's no music, wtf), I'm just trying to get information out in a quasi-entertaining way :) I hope this was useful!
I cringe every time I see that I made this video May 2021 and it is mid August :( I've been working on the Curse of Strahd Amber Temple but it seems like I should finally take a week or so off to write/film the follow-up. In the meantime, TOGGDM has a series on DM'ing - ruclips.net/video/dG0G38xsoGc/видео.html
Super late to the game, but figured I'd throw my two cents in. Since every player needs to purchase the game to be able to play, my group has been using Discord and our DM screen shares the part of the map he wants us to look at.
Couple of good tips..Thank you. We will be having our 4th gaming session this weekend- It took a couple of sessions to get the hang of it, but I figured most stuff out and my players are really enjoying themselves(At least that is what they said) Lol. Stay safe and Gruß from Germany
Gotta question I've been wondering because I've noooo idea where to start, I'm looking to use TaleSpire for a non-D&D fantasy ttrpg. The stats are similar but more streamlined and has an MP system instead of spell memorization etc. Is there a tutorial series about how to set up alt ttrpg's available? Been looking, a bit overwhelmed/confused.
Heyo! Sorry for the delayed response :) TaleSpire is system agnostic, so playing/setting up a non-fantasy setting is just a matter of using different assets. That said, at present, nearly all TaleSpire assets are fantasy. So you're a bit stuck on the genre options. As far as the game system, you can very easily assign one of the TaleSpire 'Stats' to spell points, or whatever you want. I know a few people who play Starfinder/Rollmaster and such but I don't know of any explicit tutorials for how they do it.
@@VirtualTabletopJourney Gotcha. Well, I snagged it either way and talked to the designer/author of the ttrpg to see if they'd be interested in teaming up with Talespire. If not, I think I'll use this for the tale-telling and some other tools for the character sheets etc. No need for apologies, tbh, when I comment I half expect no reply from the creator lol, so, thank you for the reply!
Heyo! A Slab is a section of a Board that you Copy and is then on your clipboard. A Board is when someone has published a map and you click to import it into your campaign as a new Board. I hope this helps!
@Virtual Tabletop Journey Thank you. Is that a shot of an editor at dndbeyond you used to create FoF? It looks like a wiki page or maybe a dndbeyond tool? FoF at dndbeyond under sources/yawning.../forge... doesn't display that way. Curious, looking for a good templated world story utility.
@@Buzz_CT The text editor with my outline in it was just a Google doc, nothing special. I would recommend WorldAnvil for building out your world/materials online in a customizable way (share for collaboration, wiki style links, content locks for members, etc).
It never ceases to blow my mind how simple it is to import boards/slabs
Over 8000 free boards/slabs now on TalesTavern. Crazy!
Not only some amazing TaleSpire info, but some solid vtt campaign design philosophy. Yep, subscribed.
Excellent, I hope the video helped! :)
I had no idea about the generators.... that changes so much!! Thank you!

I'm glad the video helped! Good luck with your next session :) Watch out for mimics!

Hard as hell to find anyone running free games even on their discord server
Good tips! would like to see more :)
It's in the queue! I'm really trying to finish the Amber Temple but I might take a break to record a Part 2 video.
Wow!
Do you have maps for Descent into Avernus?
Nope! I have all of the Forge of Fury, a lot of Curse of Strahd, and many Encounter Boards. :)
Noob question. What's the difference between a slab and a board? Thx.

Anyone know what wiki or site is being used starting at the 30 second mark?
That is the Forge of Fury adventure at www.dndbeyond.com!

Dude Stop mentioning your patron ever other second and high tier, sigh
Thanks for the feedback! I'll throttle it back in future content. I agree, four mentions in the span of 5 minutes is excessive!
