One of the most iconic southern rock bands ever
Wish I could have seen them again. I saw them in 1976 in San Diego with the Allman Brothers, Charlie Daniels, and the Marshall Tucker band. What a show!
Love the twin drumsets.👍
I got to see them in 1980 New Years Lakeland Florida. I was only 15 and remember it still!
THREE GREATS in one place! What a show it must have been. Good for you to have been there. I seen all three bands at different times in the 70's but none all together. Rock on!
Nice show
They were great in the Rockpalast concert in 1981 or 1982. Its on RUclips.
Definitely has to be my all-time favorite song by The Outlaws this song kicks ass it's the best version I've ever heard
The Outlaws were the best that ever came along. R.I.P. MR. Thomasson, We Miss You, I will see you in Rock & Roll Heaven...............
I hope somewhere in his life, he made Jesus his Savior ..
I got to see the Outlaws 4 separate times! All during the 80’s and all with Molly Hatchet! One time a band called Stranger opened and it was glorious! I miss those days more and more with all the crap of today!
Thank you. I loved them. Friends of mine
The best! Phenomenal fusion of Southern Rock and Western / Cowboy music! The late great Hughie Thomasson! Pure musical genius.
I would call it country punck rock.
Only one Hughie and only one Outlaws!!
The Outlaws cover gave me chills as a kid. They Nailed it..God Bless our Southern boys!!
I'm Southern. I'm a lady
그런데 이게뭐야 버컬은 멋있는데요
It doesn't get much better...What a band!
Absolutely the best version I have ever heard of this classic song!!
tileajb1 yes two original drummers of the band
It’s their song
I was there! My heart and soul just melted right down.
I've seen these guys 6 timesaving met Hughie while he was playing with Skynyrd. Such a talented sweet man
Sorry you're gone from us. Love, respect and RIP..
RIP Huey Thomasson, thanks for the memories and the guitar lessons.I never knew how to play til I heard you.
Saw them in a bar in Raleigh, NC in the late 80s. They were fantastic. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
I saw them in 1974 in New jersey and I saw them in 2007 in south florida. The music is still great with some new members.
me too. the NJ part dumont1959
Saw them in 86 when Henry Paul rejoined the band
First song of one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. Every last musician was amazing.
They are good, many others have sung this song just as good but this a soft version of the song, I like it much harder like it should be, for what the song was written about, hard chasing and riding.
Maravilhosoooooooooooooo solo de guitarra demais ... Amo essa música ♡♡♡♡♡♡♤♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Volando como la luz al espacio exterior. Andenles.
Some of the best guitar work I've ever seen.🎸
Gotta love southern rock!!!
long live the outlaws...one of the best bands in the world.
Great line up. Great music. Great Band.
Hughie Thomassen of the outlaws and Ronnie VanZant of Lynyrd Skynyrd are still 2 of the greatest front men ever. I was lucky enough to see Hughie and the Outlaws once. Wish I could have seen them more
Love this. I grew up in Tarpon and these dudes were my first concert! Saw them in Tampa many times
I love this band. They rock, absolute geniuses. Saw them this year. would see them again any time.
I saw them in 1978 in Indy, great concert! Love me some southern rock!
Always a great song,. I saw them in Kennewick WA in the 80's great players, and pickers. I was amazed how well they played.
absolutely amazing song
Hughie Thomasson would have been 71 years old this year if his heart hadn’t quit on him. I just got through watching a video of the Outlaws led by Henry Paul from 2022. Let me just say, there is a light years’ bit of difference between the 2007 gig and the 2022 gig. In other words, I wish Hughie was still alive. Try as Henry Paul might, he just doesn’t pack the gear to sing “Ghost Riders”; he should let one of the other band members do that. Just saying.
love this song and think The Outlaws are brilliant band
Saw these guys open for Black Sabbath in 1980 in Vancouver. Great band!!
RIP Hugie, Billy, Freddie. Only you and Outlaws could have done justice to this masterly performance. Why dont I move to other titles after 35 years?
+Pratikyatri
the other titles dont measure up.
Johnny Cash did a great version of this song too.
This was recorded May 12th, 2007.......... Hughie passed September 9th, 2007. Great artist, great guitarist.
July 27th 2007 was the date we shot this. Thanks for watching my videos!
Only more or less one month before that tragic day when Hughie died.. what a lost.. I miss him and his amazing music every single day!
What did hughie die from?
I read that he and his wife had just come home after having gone out to eat, and Hughie sat down in his easy chair to watch the tube. His wife found him there, heart failure. He was 55.
saskatchawan we are very blessed to have this video. Thank you for posting it. So many great pieces by our beloved destroyed in a fire. Irreplaceable stuff. Thanks again for sharing it with us.
Very good Live performance of this classic Song!
man i swear is nothing bether than old school music classic music than this new music i prefer classic music
You are very correct. It breaks my heart to see how they are trying to blend Hip Hop and Rap into country music. Inter-city Ghetto music has no place in country.
42nd looking for my daughter they stole my wheelchair I can't get to her
Distance to ghost Rider
I can be over your head in any minute I love you baby baby k
Sioux Lookout Canada....You are one of us, thank you .
One of my live favourits songs!!!

" I'll Always Love 💘you Hayden Panettiere "
The outlaws are my favorite group, I love all the guitars and didn’t know they were southern rock, being from Pennsylvania
What part of pa are you from I'm in Waynesboro pa
RIP Hughie, the band is getting bigger behind the Ghost Riders in the Sky!
One of my all time favorites
RIP Hughie Thomasson
Exactly why I love this song so much is still a mystery but it obviously has a lot with the horses hooves made of steel.
Just cant stop listening this
Amazing Guitarist
Hugh Edward Thomasson, Jr. R.I.P. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Beautiful !
Thanks
HI Susan. I saw them 3 times in the 70's. They headlined once and other times warmed up for Charlie Daniel's and Marshall Tucker.
Nothing wrong with that Picture !!! That’s old-school I love it!!!
That is a world class mullet the bass player is sporting.
This track is great because of the awesome low-keyed video and yippee kayee, yippee kayoo ghost riders in the sky. Always remember their hooves are made of steel.
Legend Valley , Ohio... July 3, 1979. The Outlaws... I was there... so was blotter acid... best gigs ever with 4 other bands. The Allman Bros played for 4 hrs.
The OUTLAWS, are in my soul/bones!!! YEEAAHH!!! Bring it boys!!!
Dammit man!!!! What memories!!!!!
yea i know what u r saying . i was telling my daughter that this was a band that rocked my mind 25 yrs ago. and it still rocks
Saw them at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun Casino not long before he passed away. The Outlaws were on my bucket list and I'm glad I got to see them when Hughie was still alive. Though they are still touring without him, The sound isn't quite the same without him!!!!! I know that the guys are trying to keep the legacy alive. I saw them at a Fair in North Eastern Connecticut in 2011and they were just OK. Carry on Outlaws, carry on!
would go see them in concert again and again and again
Miss you Hughie Thomasson...
Hughie is the natural "boss" (leader). in a positive way. Look how he begins.
RIP Hughie, We love you, We will never forget you.
love sourthern rock. but just listening to this makes you realize how good the Atlanta rhythm section really was. the outlaws are fantastic. but no comparison to ARS. Ronnie van zant was spot on. when he said that ARS was the best southern rock band
Now that’s some ass kickin guitar pickin right there
Hey just a french canadian that is a Jeff Beck worshipper, but hell, southern rock is basic no nonsense kick ass music.
Ever tally up the Florida Southern Rock bands? I mean like The Doors, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Outlaws, to name a few?
@@bryanst.martin7134 --- The DOORS? I guess you were using The Doors as an example of listing bands. I mean, OK, Jim Morrison went to Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, but The Doors were HARDLY a Southern band, more like a California band.
@@bryanst.martin7134 Also Wet Willie
Great. Thank you
* Best version ever! 😃
THIS is what the guitar needs to sound like when you play this song people!
I remember this as a high school kid smoking cigarettes in the parking lot before class and watching my classmates get high, while this rocked on their car's stereo.
Did you take a toke ?
