My husband told me to really dress up as he was going to surprise me. I decked out in a formal, had my hair done, the whole nine yds. Where did he take me? An outdoors Outlaw concert. I could have killed him. The bright spot was the barefoot guy next to me kept staring at me not sure what to do. He asked if I wanted a hit off his joint. God bless that guy. 😄

This was originally done by Vaughn Monroe in 1949. It's been covered by Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, and Frankie Laine to name a few. The Outlaws put more of a rock spin on it, compared to the original country version. There is over 100 versions, in 11 languages.
Love the guitars at the end, unbelievable.

Henry Paul left after the Hurry Sundown album, Freddie Salem replaced him, their sound started getting heavier. This was their last album to get a hit single off. IMO Outlaws were best with their more country sounding first 4 albums. Around 1983 me and a couple friends met them at their bus after a show at a small club, we shot the bull and Henry, who returned after he put out 4 Henry Paul Band albums, brought a bottle of wine from the bus and passes it around. Cool bunch of guys.
