This was one of the best WTA Championships ever, if not the best ever. Having Sharapova and Serena in the final, two icons. Also atmosphere was amazing, turkish crowd was spectacular. They really enjoyed whole championships.

Total domination... I truly believe that Serena started losing her confidence after the 2015 US Open when Maria pulled out and would have probably met her in the semis... Instead she got Roberta Vinci😞... She always truly looked forward to meeting her in later rounds... Then Maria started taking long breaks and Serena started losing to people in finals that she would normally beat because she lost her focus... Maria was literally her driving force to succeed...

Serena had the same with Maria post 2004. of course Serena is much stronger than Fed is mentally.
In any match between these two ,,there will be no tennis to watch ,,,it was very simple for serene to win over Maria. Maria must know how to defend and make Serena to step backward.
