  • These fish rock covers work up quickly and make great car charms and key rings. I would recommend cotton yarn or thread for this because it is less stretchy which is better for hanging.
    Yarn Used:
Fingering Weight for the largers ones
    2.5 mm hook
Mercerized Cotton Thread for smaller ones
    2.2 mm hook
    Time Stamps:
    00:00 Intro
    00:33 Style 1
    01:19 Rd 1
    02:00 Rd 2
    02:52 Decreasing
    03:13 Final Round
    03:48 Tail
    06:00 Style 2
    06:50 Rd 1
    07:00 Rd 2

These make great covers for crystals! If you decide to do a keychain or a car charm, I highly recommend using a cotton yarn or thread. They are less stretchy and work GREAT for hanging. If you use an acrylic or wool yarn, you might need to add some glue to the cover on the rock to ensure it doesn't slip out. xx

We have a bike trail by my house & it would be cute to put some of these fish rocks out along the trail for others to find!

Thanks Roz for sharing what a great idea . I don't make many projects using cotton on account of living in a cold country , however ; what ever left over pieces I have from making doilies and stuff will come in handy for little projects . I mainly work with lots of yarn .

That’s a great idea to use leftovers from your doilies. I’m like you, I don’t have a lot of cotton. It’s hard on my hands 😖
      Thanks for writing ❤️

Those are so cute and what a great idea!!!
Those beach clips at the beginning look like it could be in Florida (East or West coast), possible in Gulfshores, Alabama or maybe one of the Carolina's...thanks again for taking the time to share your work/art!!!

@@PlayHookywithMe Ocean Springs, Ms?!?!! O my golly goodness, my husband's younger sister lived in Pascagoula for several years (when we lived in Mobile) and then she moved to Gautier...his mother and step dad lived in Gulfport until 1996 and they had to relocate to Spring, Tx, where we lived, they were up in age and needed assistance...
When we lived in Tomball, Tx the second time, we did a day trip to Galveston and its beach water is so nasty that I would not bath my dog in it!!! When I lived there as a kid and when I married my husband Galveston beach and water were pretty decent!
