I have had many run-ins with black panthers, some as large as depicted in this story, never seen any go after human even standing between it and my mauled livestock with a 30.06. That one just paced back and forth just beyond the edge of the light staring me down but turned and walked away into the night.
That's the way the one my Dad encountered behaved. Would have made the story pretty short. In 2nd half we find out why the behaviour changed. 🐻🍀💙 #BearLair64

There’s two main things that I absolutely Love about this story. 1: When I picture a family as tight knit as these are, and protective of not only their direct family but also close family friends and neighbors, it speaks to me as what true Americans are supposed to be. 2: when I also picture every said member able to easily and safely & professionally able to handle a firearm without question, well I almost tear up. I’m so so proud! Also, it’s a cool change to get direct insight into the predators thoughts. Hard to believe that human skin tastes worse to him than pork. Oh well, to each his own....☠️. Ha! Just finished and I knew it couldn’t have been that easy! Well done!

Travis Sr. and TeriAnn raised self sufficient kids with independent personalities yet a strong sense of loyalty to kith and kin. A healthy blend of courtesy and judicious skepticism towards guv'mint is critical. They are based on archetypes of Western Civilization. I think there are families like this all over the place. I agree. This is how most of my dad's side is. That's why I still love America, because I know there are tons of families and communities like this. We have a beautiful and wonderful country, but the media and pop culture and the government especially don't always show it.

Hey Max! Thank you for the kind comments. Dead Man Talking did part 2 of "The Porcine Horror: Pigocalypse". On Pride, Integrity, & Guts, the acronym rose out of anti-police sentiments in the 1960's, when protesters labeled officers "pigs". Law Enforcement adapted it into a positive ("Guts" meaning "intestinal fortitude" ). I didn't mention it, but the folks at DMT Solutions Inc. simply allowed the story to languish. Otherwise, the sheriff would have gotten a "visit". Hope that ties up the loose ends
southern parents used to spook their badly behaving kids with storys of these two monsters named bloodybones and redeyes who come and eat children. cool to see a creepypasta based on some very iconic southern lore.
I remember sitting on my granddaddy's lap at nights and he'd tell me about rawhide and bloody bones...that story used to scare me green. He told me old time stories..so, I got the gruesome end to Hansel and Gretel, Three Little Pigs and all the rest. I wouldn't trade that for the world though, if I could hear him tell me one more story, and sing John Browns Body, I'd be happy.

I really enjoyed geography and I have traveled all over and have seen many places. Weird. This was a spinoff of Porcine Horror. My neighbors hunt feral hogs. Couple of stray dogs I feed brought me a pair of pig's feet. Apparently we are pack mates. #BearLair64
People seem to forget..... Animals like the cat in this story are NOT trespassing on our land.... WE are the trespassers in THEIR territory!! Yet when one attacks a person everyone is so shocked about it and act like the animal did something wrong. All they are doing is protecting themselves and doing what animals like that do!

Weird. This was a spinoff of Porcine Horror. My neighbors hunt feral hogs. Couple of stray dogs I feed brought me a pair of pig's feet. Apparently we are pack mates.

People seem to forget..... Animals like the cat in this story are NOT trespassing on our land.... WE are the trespassers in THEIR territory!! Yet when one attacks a person everyone is so shocked about it and act like the animal did something wrong. All they are doing is protecting themselves and doing what animals like that do!
