Tell me the most useless movie fact you know so I can be even more fun at parties.
In that scene from The Two Towers, Viggo broke his toe when he yelled.
There's a really clever blue penguin that seams to know everything about movies...
Re. “Event Horizon”, you forgot to mention that the U.S. flag has 55 stars and the flag of Europe has more stars as well (which is weird, because the twelve stars on the European flag aren't in reference to the E.U. members, but rather are just a nice-looking pattern).
Yea right, @@retromemories8522
Next you'll be telling us there's a typo in the title on #41, or something just as crazy.
Only thing I could think of was the voice actor for Samurai Jack is on the train in Spider-Man 2.
Very cute. But of course, everyone knows the actual famous bit of trivia from the Aragorn-kicking-the-helmet scene: Aragorn's wail of pain is actually a very well disguised electronically processed & altered Wilhelm scream, which they had to resort to when Viggo Mortensen's actual scream was deemed insufficiently anguished-sounding. Also, the helmet he kicks was a very expensive, highly detailed one-of-a-kind hero prop meant for close-up shots of the lead Orc and it was damaged so badly that it had to be replaced and a duplicate painstakingly crafted to exactly match the original, so naturally there was quite a bit of consternation on the set over Mortensen's carelessly destructive & costly improv kick.
I heard they even wrapped up Viggo's toe in a load of bandages after he kicked it so as not to damage the precious helmet in future takes.
Wonder if wardrobe often gets called upon to cover casts, @@PentexProductions
Ever watch Rumble in the Bronx all the way through to the outtakes at the end? One bts side shot shows Jackie Chan putting on some kind of stretchy bootie over a cast on his foot.
The cast covers the whole foot & ankle, iirc, but the bootie covers the whole cast! Once it's on tightly, we see how it's patterned and colored. It's a near-perfect match for the shoe on his other foot! The fake shoe would be obvious on scrutiny, but completely unnoticeable to casual observers.
He's tough enough to keep filming, even with one foot in a cast! 😁
I thought it had taken so many takes that when he kicked the helmet in frustration he actually broke his toe. No?
how can it be so hard to remember one of the most iconic movie trivia?
In the Lord of the Rings scene, where Vigo kicks the helmet, they didn't use real Hobbits for the burning corpse pile, because Viggo was allergic to the smell... pff.
did you even watch the vidoe? he was joking , if you stuck around until the end you would have seen a line , making a joke about a "toe" that toe of course being Vigos
Plus those furry feet are super flammable - it would have posed a risk to the actors if they had burned real hobbits.
@@PentexProductions hahah lol
#50: That is real smoke in the scene. The producers wanted to cut costs and make it digital, but Peter Jackson insisted on setting the stuntmen on a low fire for authenticity.
Lunch was barbecue.
Apparently when the stunts union protested at being set on fire for the shot, they reached a compromise with Jackson and agreed to just set their lower halves on fire after Jackson said: "what about their legs? They don't need those."
I bet the barbecue tasted like chicken
This was loads of fun. I would not hate it if this was the first of many editions of “useless movie trivia”.
The lady who says Alameda in Star Trek IV wasn't supposed to say anything but did. Her ad lib worked so well that she had to be rushed into the actor's union so her shot could be used in the main release.
Those nuclear wessels aren't going to find themselves.
Six minutes building up to that one punchline, that was great.
I just realized... The Toe Towers 🤣
Oh no what an embarrassing and totally accidental typo!
Gritchie is the name of Guy Ritchie's brewing company, and Lore of the Land is the name of his pub.
The barbecue in the the Gentlemen is also made by a company owned by Guy.
Robert Patrick also trained to sprint without running out of breath for the infamous car chase scene.
So that was 45 random facts about movies and 5 about one single shot from the two towers.
You should make more like this! Maybe this is what you've been supposed to do all this time!
I guess there is nothing else to say about that scene in The Two Towers. No more trivia that everyone keeps bringing everytime LOTR is mentioned. Nope. Nothing else.
#43 reminds me of the scene in which Dana & Peter first meet in Ghostbusters. Her lovely voice and beauty get him up and dashing over to introduce himself. His route to her includes a(n almost) clean bound over the wooden partition gate of the firehouse administrative area.
Scrutinize this stunt and you can tell his shoe clips the gate. (Source is the disc commentary. I believe it was Harold Ramis who pointed it out.) Any less clearance and there would have been a second Bill Murray stumble to reference in this vid.
To be fair, Bill Murray has a great stumble.
Hope your toe gets better soon.
(Just a guess.)
Happy Christmas.
Vigo actually broke his toe while kicking the helmet
I love how much you're avoiding the Aragorn-broke-his-toe fact.
got any more please? That was good!!
3:54 errrrm
Is it just me or is 46 mins 22 seconds not half of 93 mins and 6 seconds? (93*60 then plus 6 seconds is 5586 seconds. So halfway is 2793 seconds. But 46*60 then plus 22 is only 2782 seconds...)
I think being eleven seconds off in the context of a feature film counts as being exactly halfway (when the line itself takes ~4 seconds to say), but fair point. They should have made the credits five seconds shorter.
OMG! That Liar Liar fact is amazing 😅
NOTHING else happened in that LOTR scene….
Fun idea! You could easily have a Pt. 2
If I get sick again and need a break from actual research then perhaps!
Have not watched the video yet. My submission would be that the guy who falls from the chariot in Ben-Hur was an actor and did it on purpose.
(There's an urban legend that he died on camera and it was just left in. This is false.)
Ber-Hur was such an epic production. So many great stories.
More of these, please! 🙏
I somewhat shocked by the fact I knew most of them... My wife may be right about me being crazy about movies..
Such a fun video, loved it
Thanks for watching - it was fun to make!
Toe rrific
i knew the other piece of trivia XD

The part he is diliberately not saying is how Viggo broke his fucking toe kicking the helmet there.
Brilliant! 👏

🌺🌺I saw a very nice video after a long time🌺🌺
He broke his foot when he kicked it.
Not 'totally' useless 😉
sa far as i know those you forgott about where not that important. who cares that a scene get totally remade in cgi after like 150 takes in a kubrics movie...
Haha funny joke 😆
I can't believe u showed the scene with the number one film trivia fact the proceeded to talk about Gimly 😂😂 I hope that was on purpose 😂
