I’m new to the Instant Pot. Just made this and OMG tastes like my Granny made it from the farm. Saw on another video that you’re from Roanoke. I grew up in Lynchburg and visited Roanoke all the time growing up. But I live in Richmond now. Hope you’re safe from the flooding. Thank you for the simple “home style” recipes!
Hello, thanks for the great comment. I'm actually from Vinton and graduated from William Byrd years ago. Lol. I just say Roanoke because people have heard of it usually but not Vinton. :) I love my Instant Pot. Now I use a Ninja Foodi but it has a air fryer too. It has the exact pressure cooker like an instant pot but does many more things. So pretty much any of my Ninja Foodi recipes can be used on the Instant Pot. I read where you were from Lynchburg. I've only been there a hand full of times in my life. It seems like way bigger than Roanoke. As for Richmond I've only been there one time. I'm more of a beach person so my travels have mainly been to Myrtle Beach. Have a great week and thanks for watching and commenting.
Debbie FoodPrepping lol I always thought Roanoke was bigger. But Lynchburg has grown tremendously since I left home 40 years ago. And yes, I’m familiar with Vinton. Love my Blue Ridge and New River Valley.
UPDATE: I got it! I got the exact same pot as yours and made this recipe first! Oh. My. Lord. This is so good! Still learning so much, but so happy I finally got a pot. Made this dish, meatloaf and a cake today in it. Just can't stop making things in my instant pot! No more living on take-away and ramen, and hope to bring my nutrition into a healthier zone. Debbie, thank you for inspiring me. I would never have done this if I hadn't watched you cook with it. Much
I just found your video, and though it’s been a year, I just had to thank you. I am a vegetarian, so I tweeked it a little for me. The beans tasted fantastic! And the potatoes were cooked to perfection. I have an Instant Pot Duo, and used 15 minutes on manual, 5 minutes natural release, then quick relief. Thank you so much for sharing!
I had the most delicious Supper last evening, thanks to you! Everything tasted wonderful. Of course, I couldn't resist double portion of the RED potatoes, split with melting butter on them. SLURP!😋
I would definitely try that seasoning, but the MSG is terrible for me. I have Lupus, so I have to watch out for things that cause a flare, and msg, or mono sodium glutamate is one of the worst. However your beans and potatoes look wonderful!!! I’m also cooking fresh beans and fresh red potatoes. Now I can hardly wait for them to be done!
I'm guessing that was salt pork that you used. That's probably why the beans are so delicious. I have that Badia seasoning but haven't made up my mind yet what I think about it. I'll keep on trying it. Green beans and potatoes like these are one of my all-time favorite dishes. Thank you for preparing it for us with such good instructions. I wish I had some today. (EDIT: Well, I just realized this is my second post here. See! I told you I love this dish.)
What's weird is I made a whole pot of them yesterday. I used 2 big cans of Allen's Italian green beans and used a different recipe. It will be in my Sunday post for What's for Dinner. Lol for it Sunday and then see if you will like these. Have a great week!!!!
@@DebbieFoodPrepping I'll check it out! Oddly enough I just had some of those Italian green beans recently and don't like them at all. Funny, because I usually love green beans.
The great thing about the Instant Pot is that you can cook things all day in about twenty minutes. I'll never again use a slow cooker. When I get hungry, I don't want to wait hours -- I want to eat in less than an hour.
Yummy looking food you've got there! One of my favorites. Makes me wish I had not roasted the green beans that came with my Home Chef order. I didn't think I'd like roasted green beans and I was right. They were so darn hard. I found out I couldn't soften them up in either a pressure cooker or a microwave to suit my preference. From now on, I'm doing it your way. The potatoes also are a favorite of mine.
/‘Mushy/‘ is the Southern wsy... No ‘’”tender crisp” green beans for us! That looks delicious. I have fresh beans and potatoes from a local Black Barn... truly fresh. And.. I will use Better than Bullion .. Can’t wait..
@@DebbieFoodPrepping By the way I really enjoyed your video, greatly. I mean the wire rack that came with your pressure cooker, the rack that sets in the bottom of your pot and keeps the food off the bottom so it won't burn.
Oh my goodness...lmao. I forgot all about that. I never used that. I got a mesh pot that went in there and holds potatoes, beans etc. I never found a reason to use that trivet. Lol I'm so sorry I forgot. Have a great weekend!!
It will say seasonings on the badia jar but I have all of the ingredients. Dehydrated vegetables are of the garlic and onion it's the MSG and it's got cumin oregano along with the garlic and onion but MSG has never been able to be tied in a University double-blind study to causing anyone even a headache so if you think MSG bothers you people reading this it was something else because MSG lives in us and is in everything we eat for fresh food. Thank you for sharing this. Love you video!!! Liked and Subscribed. Now to cut a fresh tomato and add mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
Looks delicious; Making me hungry

I fix garden green beans in the insta pot or the slow cooker with bacon, onions and potatoes with a beef and chicken boulon.

Watch out for the MSG, it contributes to memory loss. But I’m making green beans right now!
Green beans with lots! lots! of Butter lol lol
I take it, it tasted good lol!
Did you use your trivet?
I'm confused... what trivet are you talking about? I don't think I've used a trivet with beans or potatoes.

However its a chemical and some people are allergic to it, like me.

in 20 minutes you can cook an entire chicken.
😜
Where's the recipe?
I didn't add a recipe to the description because it was so easy to watch and remember. Sorry. Have a good weekend!!
@@DebbieFoodPrepping Thank You. I"ll be making this one.
That is margarine all over your food as well which turns my stomach. Sorry! :-)
Also MSG in the seasoning.
Oh my gosh that sucked 😨
