Thanks Sharon! I love this dish. A former co-worker of mine used to make a version of this dish and I loved it! I figured that I would try and make my own. It turned out delicious! I bet your Aunt's was great!
Love your kitchen aids! They are cute. I thought I knew how to make this. You proved me wrong. Enjoy your videos. Thank you for your time, enthusiasm and obvious thoroughness.
This recipe is delicious!!! I don't eat a lot of ham but it added so much to this recipe I wouldn't make it any other way. Eric smoked the ham a little more to give it more smoked flavor. I could eat this ever single day!
Amy ... Child, I just gained a pound just watching this video!!!!! This will become one of my favorite and go to recipes. You just gained another subscriber!!! Me and mine wish you and yours all things great and good!!! Take care, be safe, all my best and God bless!!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 🤠🐩🖖
Hi Amy and Eric! I don't know how I missed this video, but just found it today. Looks amazing, love your twist on an old southern dish. As a born and raised gal from the south, we have had this many, many times. Try it with a really good smoked sausage (andouille if we can find it) and true southerners and cajuns will serve this over rice. I know, true starch overload, not to mention adding the corn bread! You have made me hungry for some, guess I'll be heading out to the grocery store soon! Thanks you guys, y'all are the best!
You could actually use a smoked turkey drumsticks. A lot of people make this with smoked turkey instead of ham. You can usually get them already smoked at your local grocery or maybe smoked turkey necks if that is something that you eat. It would be delicious!
Amy, my sweet Auntie Thelma used to make that dish! SSSSOOOOO GOOD! Thanks for the memories! Yours does look FABULOUS!

Amy, this looks delicious. I, personally, like soft green beans and new potatoes. The ham could not do anything but make it more delicious. Yummy.
