Six days earlier, he was calling THAT Aguero goal and then came the line: "I swear, you'll never see anything like this ever again! So watch it, drink it in!"
Didier Drogba, The ultimate big game player. Absolutely inevitable in any final/top of the table game/cup match. The greatest striker who isn’t appreciated purely because his goal scoring record isn’t on the level of an aguero, Ronaldo, messi, But his tireless commitment and constant running is a commodity that not many strikers have any more. A true footballing icon.
Please do not compare Drogba with Ronaldo Messi etc. Drogba was in one of the best eras where there are tonnes of quality in every team, and not just the average shit we get nowadays with only 1-3 top players.
The header goal to end all header goals. Iconic. This night will NEVER be topped. I'm so thankful I witnessed this in my lifetime. Gary Neville and Martin Tyler's commentary was legendary too.
For me, the craziest thing about this goal was that not only was Bayern dominating the run of play up to this point, literally just letting chance after chance slip, this equalizer came from Chelsea’s first corner kick of the game. They won their very first corner kick in the 88’ minute & Drogba power heads that bitch in near post against a prime neuer to tie the final 1-1. To compare, when Chelsea won their first corner, Bayern already had 17. 17 fucking corners before Drogba scores with Chelsea’s first. Game tying header. Game winning pen. I fucking love football.

I always come back to this goal, because it's one of the best calls in CL finals history. By all statistics, numbers, and stats, Chelsea should've lost this game by 2 or 3 goals. Bayern missed so many chances to win this game, it's incredible. Robben missed like 3 or 4 chances in normal time and then, shockingly, missed a penalty in extra time, one that he would've scored 9/10 times. Neuer probably saves the header 9/10 times if it were taken. Almost makes you think that Chelsea was a team of destiny that season, no matter the odds, they were meant to win the CL.
i agree with most of what you said but hell no neuer does not save that header 9/10 times if he saves it 2/10 times it's very impressive that shit was a bullet out of nowhere it is not neuer's fault at all the fact that he was quick enough to even challenge it is amazing
