He read every players penalty and dived right every single time. What a legend! Even Schweinsteiger’s penalty that hit the post, if you watch the slow-mo replay, Cech tipped it towards the post. Definitely one of the best ever!

Chelsea winning the 2012 UCL was a pure divine magic.
It was not. Beating the best team in the semi final was massive and built their confidence. 2012 was the best form for Messi and Chelsea survived him.
Truly against all the odds chelsea managed to win this, down 0-1 in the 82nd minute and still managed to equalise. Conceced a penalty in extra time, Cech was there. Bayern scored the 1st penalty and chelsea missed theirs ,but still managed to overcame that. You have to give respect where it's due and Chelsea truly had some magnificent players who played for the badge.

Dirty money, no VAR, Martin Atkinson etc...had a lot to do with their "success".
Did they overachieve, did they underachieve. It's hard to tell what they would've achieved even with the money they didn't earn but normal decisions and normal cup draws not constantly rigged cup draws.
They were unconvincing in so many finals vs far inferior teams like rock bottom Portsmouth, depleted Everton, mid-table Spurs, Arsenal's youth team, a couple of Liverpool's very mediocre teams in separate seasons etc...
Interestingly Chelsea bought themselves 20 Cup finals from 2005 to 2013 (14 not including CShield's) and not a single one of those 20 consecutive finals did they win by more than 1 goal. They either lost, won by 1 goal or on a shootout. 1of the finals they were absolutely thrashed by AtleticoMadrid. A lot of controversy involved in many of Chelsea's final wins as well, which isn't surprising if you make a lot of finals legitimately then you're usually a dominant team and so there should be some games you win comfortably if corruption isn't heavily involved in why you were there in the first place. Especially with some of the far less expensive & mediocre teams they faced in finals if they were as great as their record of reaching all those finals could trick you into thinking, they'd win some convincingly by just law of averages. Martin Atkinson kept refereeing their cup semi-finals and other big games of theirs which was more than fishy, then he retired same year Abramovic left Chelsea 🤔 to be honest even the likes of HowardWebb seemed to favour Chelsea loads as well. Rigged an another FAcup semi-final for them vs Villa Martin Atkinson style, it was 1of quite a few season's where it was like the only obstacle they had during their rigged route and they can't even be made to earn the win themselves.
The Abramovic era, if it was another country they would've been done for all sorts of scandals.

Drogba did great. But CECH is the real hero of the match. He saved even Drogba on his foul penalty. the one who keep saving everyone till the end was Cech. He saved 4 penalties in the final.
There'd be no penalty fouls to commit or penalties to save without the last minute goal from drogba.

This was the most incredible champions league final ive ever seen. As a united fan I will always have respect for chelsea. They beat uefalona with 10 men, they beat the same bayern munich that parked the bus against united and they did it at bayerns own home ground after bayern subbed their best player to defend. Most dominating performance in UCL final but Bayern couldnt hit the target from the zillion shots. Chelsea were absent in that game until 87th minute. And then drogba became the hero, gave the penalty and became a villian then scored the coolest penalty of the night to be a immortal chelsea legend!
