As a seasoned illustrator/generalist, I can confirm- True words about expanding your skillset instead of tricking yourself into thinking you are moving forward.
Great advice! As a counterpoint, something I do is to watch videos at 2x the speed, BUT only to understand the possiblities and capabilities of the software I am trying to learn. Then I take mental note of the timestamps in the video of how to solve specific problems. When I start personal work and run into a problem, I have a general idea of how to solve it and if I need reference, I know where to find it! Definitely going to be refering to your channel to learn MOI3d!
Once you've got a foundation what you're talking about works great. Small bits of focused practice is the habit I'm after here. Thanks for the comment!
In the description, I ask the question: what should we spend our time learning when there are so many options out there? I think you've nailed a solid answer to that question. awesome!
@@liminal4d O yea for sure, there's a time and place for both approaches. Completely agree with slowing down and focused practice. There are times when I have no idea what I'm doing and just copy the tutorial exactly step by step too.
Hey buddy! Happy new year! I hope all is well. Have heard from you in awhile. You left us with some great tutorials last year. Hoping you can continue this year.
Hello Vaibhav. I started the channel when work was really slow and haven't found a way to incorporate making more videos into my schedule since things have picked up. I'm here to answer questions although sometimes I don't get notifications so I might be a bit slow catching them.
Wonder if you ever listen to StellarDrone? So stoked I found you Liminal4D! You inspire me so much. Thank you. I wonder if Michael Gibson the creator of MOI has seen your tutorials? I sure hope he does. Peace out Liminal4d.
@@liminal4d Best of ambient space part 1 shows the Earth from a satellite. So cool. Great music for deep thought. Peace out Liminal4D, have a great day.
