How to get the “Reign in Blood” GUITAR TONE - Jeff Hanneman (Slayer) - Bias Amp & Bias FX

- Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman (Slayer) on the Reign in Blood album.
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

. Bias Amp 2 (amp match feature) and Bias FX 2 guitar modeling software - metal distortion and Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ amp simulation
. Line 6 UX-1 audio interface and M-Audio monitors
. Reaper Digital Audio Workstation
. iMac with El Capitain OS
. BC Rich Warlock 1984 (USA custom shop) with DiMarzio pickups and Kahler 2300 tremolo
My guitar medley features these songs: "Angel of Death", "Raining Blood" and "Epidemic".

I love to use guitar Plugins mostly when I’m doing my recordings but for jamming at home, nothing beats a good tube amplifier. Awesome video!

What do you use to "analyze" the original tone? I've read about a plug-in called izotope, and I've tired spectral analyzers myself but haven't had much luck...

So you quit using real amps? Bummer. Would be great to get recommendations on what amp settings with say a Marshall, Peavey or Mesa Boogie amp for these settings.
I'm not against real amps. It's just that, in my humble opinion, Bias Amp is the greatest innovation and invention in guitar effects. Never in my wildest dreams I would imagine someday I would be able to match the tone of my favorite metal albums. It's incredibly difficult (and incredibly expensive) to get that close with a physical amp. Also, although I haven't tried it out, Positive Grid has the Bias Head, a physical amp where you can plugin your digital preset.
That headstock in no way shape or form fits a warlock.
