A little animation I did of Rika from Higurashi for fun! I'm really excited about the new anime so I couldn't help myself. Also included a breakdown of the steps I did to get to the final product.

Hey everyone! Since there's been a lot of comments regarding the "rough lines" section, let me clarify my process:
In animation, there are often two phases of "roughs"--there's the actual roughs which are often stick figure-esque and more focused on timing/motion, and then the "tie down" rough phase, which is where you have all of the relevant details and make the drawing on model, but the lines are still rough/everything isn't perfect in regards to the animation.
I personally usually only do the motion-based roughs if I'm doing a longer animation, or something with complex timing.
This animation was very simple, and only had three simple and similar key poses. So in this case, I didn't do the first pass of "roughs" where it was just motion based, because I didn't need it. Therefore I called my "rough lines" section the rough lines because it was my first pass at the drawings--I didn't do a formal cleanup pass on it. I actually copy pasted a lot of her body parts from the key drawings as I did the IBs to speed up the process, and keep it proportionate and "clean looking" ahaha!
Hopefully that clarifies why I called it "rough lines"!
