Is Busch Gardens Better Than Disney's Animal Kingdom? 🦒

- While at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay for the Food & Wine Festival, we decided to take a break from all the eating to do the Serengeti Safari Tour! For an extra $50 on top of Busch Gardens park admission you get to jump in the back of an open air truck and get up close with all the animals on the safari. By far the best part of this experience was being able to hand feed the giraffes. This was one of the coolest things we have ever done at a theme park and we highly recommend doing it the next time you visit Busch Gardens! We also got to feed kangaroos for $6 (not part of the safari tour) & this is now Kitra's favorite theme park 😍

Giraffe: “I’m something of a lettuce connoisseur. I give this one... 5 out of 5 giraffes” 🦒
Absolutely beautiful creatures.
🙏
Peter: "As you all know, I am a connoisseur of giraffe tongues..."
😂😂😂😂😂
😂
I want a pet Giraffe now. I mean that’s crazy and not plausible at all but I still want it. Lol Love the slow-motion Kitra scream lol
Ha thanks
Another great video. I’ve never seen anyone so hyped and excited as Kitra was to see giraffes🤣 That part when you’re feeding them had me in bits laughing, ‘I just want to lettuce’ as it’s sticking it’s tongue out😆
😂🦒
OMG! THOSE TONGUES!!!
👅
The awesomeness came from you two turning into giddy little kids feeding the giraffes. Awesome!
Haha thanks
Those giraffe 's tongue would freak me out.......happy to see you guys had a good time🦒🦒🦒🦒😃😃😍😍😍
Haha it’s freaky
I literally smiled thru this whole video. what a great experience for a great price!
😁
Are we all going to ignore kitras sound at 13:20?!?!?! Omg!!! That had me on the floor laughing!!!!!
Hahah
“The lettuce truck is commmmmming” lolol
Haha
INCOMING GIRAFFE TONGUE!!!!! Hahahahaha! I haven’t been to an animal park since I was a kid, and I never appreciated it. Watching y’all makes me wish I could visit one right now😊
🦒🤗❤️
Thank you Kitra and Peter.
Thanks victor 💜
So sweet guys! I loved that one kangaroo completely sacked out and sleeping all curled up so relaxed❤️
Haha I think they were all tired and trying to get some rest in the shade
The giraffe encounter price can vary depending on a number of factors though if you have an annual pass you can get in on those tours for about $15 on some days. The animal encounters are always unique though depending on when you go. I remember my mom getting to feel a baby giraffe kick in the momma's womb when she did it once. It was quite the experience. Some times other animals may even get curious. We once had an ostrich that got very curious about us but since we had nothing for him he left after a while. If you think those are interesting though then you may want to also look into some of the other encounters. My mom has also been on the hippo encounter. Apparently some of the hippos are huge fans of bananas. You can offer them a mellon but they really love their nanners. The kangaroos often are fairly sedate most of the time except when they get hungry then its truly a feeding frenzy. There is also the lorikeet aviary which also lets you feed the birds. Just be warned though the birds can be real characters. They kiss. They bite. They poop. They will preen you. They will use any part of you they can to get close to that food. You will likely have up to 10 birds all fighting to get that sweet nectar goodness. My current record is 15 birds at once with nectar in booth hands. Great picture. When it was done they left me disheveled but with a couple great pics. The only other feeding I know of is the infamous thieves ie ibs, coots, and squirrels. The coots are my infamous twirk squad as they seem to do it most of the time while walking around. The ibis are pretty much as pervasive as seagulls and will beg right at your feet for food. The squirrels are truly a class unto themselves. They will climb into the trash to steal stuff from there. I remember once taking a selfie with a squirrel as it peeked its head out of the trash. It didn't even realize I was there till after the pic. Was funny as hell. BG is always a fun visit for me.
Wow it all sounds so awesome! We’d love to go back and experience more things ❤️
I fed a giraffe but not a kangaroo! How cuuuuute!! 😍😍 Busch Gardens is on my list! ✅
🤗❤️🦒🦘
Who Else Loves Ordinary Adventures?? ❤️❤️💚💚💙💙
I think the penguin that was floating on the water gave you a free butt check! Also the giraffes looked so beautiful and gentle
Haha #buttcheck
Looks like BG was a definite winner. We have been to some drive thru safari parks where you drive your own vehicle and can feed the animals through your window. I have some funny pictures of zebras trying stick their heads in the car and critter noses pressed against the windows. Always a good time. Makes a mess though.
Never been to a drive through safari. Would love to do that someday
That was soooo cool that both of you feeding the giraffes!! Great memories & experience!!
Thanks for watching
There's a place in Arizona where you can feed the giraffe by holding the lettuce out in your mouth and you will get "kissed" by a giraffe! You can also get really close to the other animals, as well.
Haha omg 🦒😍
I loved this.. seeing our native kangaroos was pretty cool..
❤️🦘
Dont be scared for the giraffe peter, worse they can do is slobber on you. I have been lucky to stay at Giraffe Manor twice in Nairobi, where you have breakfast with the Rosthchild giraffes. Amazing experience. For $50 that is a great experience! those giraffes love a treat.
Agreed it was an awesome experience
I remember going to the LA Zoo with my uncle and aunt and getting those wax figures of different animals and eventually those wax figures would become pliable and end up looking like abstract art! 😂
Lol 🦒
How cool! Another great video guys 👏
Thanks ken
Amazing to see the animals up close that’s an amazing experience.
It was such a great experience
This is so awesome! Giraffes are my favorite animal I love feeding them every time I go to my local zoo what a neat experience and ordinary adventure! 😄🦒
Thanks for watching Victoria
My boyfriend and I did the trainer for a day at Blair Drummond Safari Park in Scotland and the Giraffe were some of our faves out of all the animals we got to hang out with and pet and feed. Those big slimy tongues were so strong haha
You always do awesome activities, what and Ordinary Adventure!!! ❤
🙏
I love seeing the Busch Gardens videos, as it’s my home theme park. I live half an hour away and have been there more than any other theme park. I haven’t done the Serengeti Safari since I was a kid, but it looks great. Can’t wait to take my kids on it! 🦒🦒🦒
We can’t wait to get back to Florida and explore it more. We didn’t get to se much of the park because we were filming the food festival
Great vlog as usual 🍻 great seeing the animals and you guys feeding them !
Thanks John
Loved this! Thanks to you, I’ll be mentally prepared for the long giraffe tongues if I ever get a chance to feed them! 😃
Haha
I never knew about this, thank you for taking us on such cool adventures!
Thanks for watching
Okay we need more kitra meeting giraffes in our lives now!
Haha
So beautiful such a great adventure to do in the park. Love that the Kangaroo's are your new favourite.
It was so much fun
I was pleasantly surprised by how chill the giraffes and kangaroos were. A literal rhino dung heap. lol Penguins so awkward on land but graceful in water. #natureiscool Thanks for sharing.
Thanks B! 🦒❤️
Aww, I love giraffes! What an amazing experience! 🦒😍
💯
Thanks for sharing.Beautiful !!!!!!! 🙏🏾❤️🥰✨💫
☺️
Fabulous video would definitely love to feed the giraffes
Thanks Joanne
That looks so cool have fun!
Thanks! ❤️🦒
Hey guys, love your videos! I’m a Tampa native and we constantly just take the 15 min drive to BG. It’s such an underrated park. Wish we had been there while you were! We would have loved to show you around
We loved it!
Wow! I love the new intro! 10/10 Goldblum’s
Thanks Max
All that's awesome that makes me happy thank you ordinary Adventures
Just about to sit down and watch this with my girls! Busch Gardens isn’t on our list of place to visit when we go to WDW next Easter, but maybe another holiday is required!!!
It’s worth checking out but you need a car because it’s a sizable drive away
That seems so fun!!! 🦒🦘
It was!
Two things for this video -- 1) Liking the new intro; very animated and colorful. 2) Way back in he day (like the early 80s, the *Los Angeles Zoo* had those molding machines and it cost (if I remember correctly) $2.00 to $3.00. I had one of molds and I think it was made with some kind of plastic (maybe wax). BTW I like Kola Bears and Kangaroos too.
I used to have a bunch of moldaramas as a kid from some museums in Boston
So fun! We did this at the Living Desert in Palm Springs!
Would love to check that out
OMG my nieces would love this.
It’s so much fun
Those are some very patient sweet-natured giraffes! Got to do something similar at the SD Zoo Safari Park at a Member event about twelve years ago (ours liked banana leaves!) and it’s really a neat experience...they’re tongues are REALLY articulated, almost like our fingers
Another great video!!
🦒🦒🦒
That is soooo amazing!!!! I need to do that next time!! Feeding giraffes such a unique experience and that rino toilet lol!!!!! There is a petting zoo at AK... Don't remeber where it was but not like these experiences were!! We did wild Africa trek at animal kingdom and it was one of the best experiences of my life...... was such an epic few hours on the safari.
😍🦒❤️
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is probably my favorite park. I've only been once and I was a child but loved the environment.
We want to go there someday
Oh wow that looked amazing I have fed giraffes before and remember the tongue it's like sandpaper haha
Haha
lol, couldn't stop laughing during the feeding
😂
Busch Gardens is awesome they do such a great job I'm glad you got that experience may God bless you both
Thanks Todd
Peter- I had the exact same reaction when feeding giraffes. Cool...but also pretty scary. #thosetonguestho 😂😂😂
🦒👅
Love the kangaroos 🌞 The Joey is so cute.
❤️❤️❤️
I love the slow- mo footage 🦒🦒🦒🦒🦒
Thanks Matthew
I've collected Giraffes since I was 14 yrs old!!! I've fed one and had to climb a very tall ladder to do it! I've learned so much since those days! My bedroom is "Giraffe" Themed! BTW: Giraffes Cannot Bite you as they have NO UPPER teeth and only have eight front bottom teeth! 🦷
Feeding a giraffe 🦒 is absolutely magical!! Loved the video!! What do they call a phobia of giraffe tongue 👅 ?? Lol
Haha you call it peter
I got a panther mold done when I was at Bush garden. Still have it and it was done in the late 70's early 80's.
I've got a couple of Disney character molds from the 70s, Donald and Jiminy.
Awesome!!
Yes . Another adventure .
😁
@@OrdinaryAdventures now petting a bluega whale .feels like rubber .
I got to feed girrafs before, it was very up close and personal and i loved every moment of it.
🦒
I love those wax machines, I’ve on,y ever seen them in Florida. Shell world used to have one.
We used to have them at museums in the north east too
The kangaroos and giraffes are so cut I fill like jumping in the screen take couple of pictures and feed them. Though I don't know how to swim but I am ready to jump in the water with the penguin as they are my favorite birds.
Haha 😂
Wow, that looked so fun! 👍🌈😎
It was a lot of fun
The giraffes definitely look awesome!
🦒❤️
True story, many...many moons ago when I was a kid, we went on a zoo safari...and my dad had a lidless coke and one was right behind him and snuck down and started DRINKING his cola without him knowing.
😂
This is such an awesome experience! I need to spend a month in Florida now so I can go to all these parks 😅
Haha same
Very nice, glad you enjoyed it.. you should have gotten the plastic mold animal. They last forever, I have my Gorilla from "1980" at my moms house on the shelf. Great memories and you all got Great pictures.
We didn’t realize the machine took credit cards if we would have gotten the giraffe to remember our visit
Loved the giraffe feeding 😂🦒 I fed kangaroos at Australia zoo which I really enjoyed!
They are so cute ☺️
Another cool park! ❤ Feedunf tje jirafa it was awesome
Thanks for watching Mayra
Have you guys ever done one of the giraffe feedings at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park? We’ve been thinking about doing that encounter, but it’s a lot more expensive than the $50 extra at Busch Gardens!
Looks like fun!
We haven’t. We want to try it someday
I have a good friend that works there, she told me that you were there. I have completed that safari. Last time I was there a Rhino came right up to the stopped train I was on, I was 2 feet from him. No I didn't touch. Got a great pic. This is a fun experience.
Oh that’s funny. Where does she work?
She has moved up in the company since I was there. She used to be in the kids picture area.
Oh my gosh you fed a giraffe! I need to go to Busch gardens😂
It’s cool
LOVE THE VIDEO SO MUCH
🥰 thanks
Awesome!
🙌
I havent been to my local safari called niagara safari in stevensville in a few years . Same kind of animals . I never fed a giraffe before . Been on elephant rides and camels.
This place looks fun .. have fun .
I think I’d be afraid to ride an elephant
@@OrdinaryAdventures i dont like heights so being at the top looking down. Or if it miss behaved while being in the saddle .once it was over I'm like never again.
I fed the giraffes probably 20 years ago - for about $15 extra! Why are you afraid of giraffes when they are such gentle giants?when I took a group of twelfth graders backstage at AK on their educational program, we got to pet a rhino ( behind huge iron bars) and visit the feeding buildings, etc- this was in 1999 , shortly after AKopened in 1998.
Go to Australia and you can feed all the kangaroos and wombats you want and even cuddle koalas !
That was an ostrich- ostriches are native to Africa, emus are native to Australia and rheas are native to South America3 of the largest bird varieties.
I love mold-O-Rama !!!!
Yessss
I've been to busch gardens 4 times and didn't know i could feed kangaroos!!! We are going on Sunday I cannot wait!!
Ya gotta do it! Only like $5!!
@@OrdinaryAdventures can't wait! My kids are gonna have blast 💕
Super video! I applauded for $2.00 👏
I didn't know it was leaving a comment! I don't talk like that^ 😂. Anyway, the $2 was strictly for the cringey feeding experience because I was legit LOLing. KBYE ❤️
Thank you so much 🤗🦒❤️🦒
I fed the giraffes the first time I went there! ❤️ When you go back you need to ride Cheetah Hunt!
Next time!
Maybe most of the Kangaroos were in a food coma. They looked so relaxed.
🦘
This is such a amazing experiences and the joy in both your voices as you get some hands on beautiful creatures. An such a good deal. Would you feed gators at Gatorland and be about 6 to 8 feet from them next time you are over here?
We want to go there someday
@@OrdinaryAdventures was surprised how much fun we had there. There were even some things didn’t even get to do there.
Closely approaching 150K! Wondering if Legoland, CA is on the list to visit? Cheers!
We totally wanna go!
I fed a giraffe at the Living Desert in Palm Springs!! You guys def need to go there if you haven’t already!
We want to go there someday
I think this is your most criminally under viewed video ! What a delight.
I don’t know why more people haven’t watched this one. It’s such a great experience
Peter looked petrified feeding the giraffe 🦒
But what a amazing experience 😍
Haha
Great camera work guys, looks like an amazing experience. 🦒🌽. Did they check your bag on the way out, in case you stashed a baby 🦒 in there?😂
Haha they didn’t check ;)
🙌🙌🙌
❤️🙌
Did you go in the tiger turret? It is the coolest way to see a tiger.
My kids and I did annual Spring Break Orlando weeks for years, and kept talking about going to Busch. When we finally went - it became an annual must do. We love zoos, we love roller coasters, it is the perfect mix! Busch and Animal Kingdom are my favorites, but I can never decide which is better. 😎
We didn’t. We honestly didn’t have much time to explore the park because we were covering food and wine for most of the day. We want to go back
I'm so glad you did the safari. I did that a few years ago. It reminded me of my experience. I think you can get an annual pass discount on it too. How many animal butt checks did you do?
Ha a lot
Today I was at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg it was so fun
We want to go there someday
The giraffes remind of The Last of Us, a video game on PS3
I haven’t played that game yet
16:05 HIS little pouch? I wonder if Peter needs "the talk".
😂
That is so neat! $50 is expensive. Before the pandemic you could fees the giraffes at LA Zoo for $5.
Well it’s more than just a feeding, it’s safari tour through the savanna. Either way I feel like it was money well spent
It costs a lot to feed those animals, and, like the guide said, they can't get 18 in one truck any more,
I have never had a desire to feed giraffes but after watching your video, I started googling! Looks so fun! Did they tell you not to pat them?
I honestly don’t remember but I think they probably told us no petting
You should go to the one at the San Diego Wild Animal park!
We want to!
1:17...Sadly, it’s VERY difficult to get the molded animals even back to your hotel in one piece, much less have them survive until you return home! They’re molded out of fairly fragile wax...my daughter loved these machines but I think we only managed to get one of the five we made home with us to San Diego.
Oh damn that sucks
Have ya'll been to San Diego's Safari Park? It reminds me a lot of this kind of park, and has similar kinds of tours. I loved the giraffes! They're so sweet and just want all of the lettuce! Were you allowed to possibly pet them on the head? I don't think I could resist a little head rub.
We’ve been to the zoo but not the safari park. We want to go someday. We were told not to pet them
