Brilliant! Work away a lot bought so brought one just seen this update and took a good 20 goes but now connected to the hotel WiFi! Wouldn’t have even continued to try but thanks to your video the persistence paid off! Works a dream! 70 down 80 up! 😃😃

@@PeteTalksTechI had the same trials to first get the QR code and then several attempts to get into the Ps5 but it worked! Played SF6 and it played well

FYI if it's a 5g signal or 10 g or 200 g, if your device can't use those speeds it dont show up so that is never the problem.
In the future, don't keep trying it or restarting your Portal. Press start on the network name, click forget network and then try it again... 👍

Useless update for those who’s having issues using their phones as hotspot connecting to portal. I’m on EE in the UK great internet speeds , it turns on the PlayStation alright from sleep mode but it’s going on a loop connecting to PS5, so they only addressed public WiFi issues not mobile hotspot.

My portal worked before the update, and worked away from my ps5 only for a short period after the update. im away from my ps5 on vacation and ideas on what could be causing my portal to not connect

Yeah KFC is pretty huge here, you’re right though on my trips to the U.S. I was surprised at how much poorer (both quality of food, perception and visibility wise) KFC is compared to here in UK…

That update is garbage we need Bluetooth access
It’s so frustrating Sony won’t allow us to use our own Bluetooth headphones/earphones like AirPods Pro yes - I bought the Pulse Earbuds and returned them a week later cos I found them so uncomfortable and heavy… 😪😪
