- In this episode of The Golden Bachelor, Gerry enjoys a promising Fantasy Suite date with Leslie, feeling a strong connection. They discuss their future, but Gerry remains uncertain. On the next date with Theresa, things start off flat, but when she reveals she's a stock trader, Gerry becomes more intrigued. The final rose recipient remains uncertain, but Theresa seems to be gaining favor as a potential final lady.

He is naturally “connected”. Remember that he is a professionally trained mediator. That makes him more able than most to analyze situations, communicate that to both parties and negotiate win-win solutions. He will use that skill in the finale. My vote is he chooses no one and leaves door open to further contact. Expecting same questions AFTER the finale.

Interesting that you say he picks none of the ladies because I was thinking the exact same thing this morning. I think he should have kept Faith. I bet that’s what he does. Leaves alone. It will be insightful to see what his daughters have to say

I have a friend who has a family member who worked on the bachelor.
She said her family member shared the audience would be surprised to learn how little time the couples actually get together; that they never eat at the meals in the show; there is a LOT of alcohol; that the aired clips are heavily edited to keep the audience guessing; and they get lots of suggestions on what they should talk about.
You guys are both very entertaining to watch and I loved that video, but I’m sad it has so few views!! Make sure you optimize your titles with the name of the show and utilize the video hashtags when you are uploading so your video gets served to people looking for this content. I’ve seen Golden Bachelor commentary videos that were not nearly as fun as yours that have thousands of views and it’s probably just down to them using key words and phrases in their title, description and hashtags.

I think after Fantasy Suite, Theresa is best suited for Gerry. I do feel Leslie or Faith should be the Golden Bachelorette. Theresa’s meak personality did a turn around when she spoke of her accomplishments.
It does seem his choice is unfortunately going to be Theresa who I think is his safe and not authentic choice . He should have kept Faith! I don’t know why he sent her home. I’m thinking it was because she didn’t want to move to Indiana. What do you think?

Theresa is too desperate…always professing how all in she is. She’s like a puppy dog. I think she will be traumatized beyond if not chosen. That morning after leotard was ridiculous. Not a good look on her. Not working out the booty-legs. I think he is more attracted to Leslie, and they have a great banter together. But I do think Leslie could be better with a younger/more hip kind of man. She wanted to make sure Gerry is passionate, which is very important. Will be interesting to see what his Daughters feel. He & Theresa might be better together. Love to see Leslie as next Golden Bachelorette. Bring on the athletic 60’s-70’s!
I think Theresa reminds Gerry of Toni. Toni was strong, capable, independent and take charge. I think he picked Theresa early on and he was told to pull it back. I think Faith or Joan should be The Golden Bachelorette.
There is a pre-season video where Theresa is sitting with Gerry, crying, and saying " I can't believe this is happening". They are not tears of joy. Hmmmm

I remember that being a teaser clip at the beginning of the season but I think it was just edited into the previews to make it look like it was from near the end and she had gotten her heart broken. I might not be remembering correctly, but I think that clip was actually from when she was crying over the drama with Kathy and was telling Gerry that she can’t believe she got pulled into drama by one of the other women.
I keep going back to that as well. He said he wasn't into her like he thought!!
I was team Leslie too but not anymore! I think Theresa knows how to be a wife. Leslie is in need of healing. Theresa loved her husband. Love you girls! You really know!

Yes, Leslie seems like Debbie Downer, constantly bringing up the divorces, the cheating, having the wrong picker etc. I think Gerry will back off all that drama.

She is so kind and sweet!! It was the "I-refuse-to-move" thing that killed them in the end, no compromising. Theresa seems clingy and Leslie is too much for Gerry; she's a rock n roll diva needs a diff type of younger, senior, single man!!

I found your channel here by accident. I subscribe to several channels that do recaps on Bachelor Nation stuff, so I was delighted to find yours! I have watched everything Bachelor Nation since the franchise started.
I find your channel refreshing because you two are also "golden."
I wanted to comment that I have watched interviews former leads and contestants from the franchise, and they say the opposite. They said there is definitely more time that they spend with the lead, and we aren't shown everything. Of course, production is excellent at editing it to lead the audience where they want ours minds to go.
I picked Theresa from night one, and I am sticking to it as Gerry's final rose recipient. I think they are a better fit.
Gerry is William Shakespeare compared to all the other young bachelors, most of whom can’t string 2 words together, ESPECIALLY when it comes to expressing feelings. I agree it will be difficult to follow that.

I agree with you that she shouldn’t have said that. It makes her appear as if she’s not ready to settle down with him. But, I’m not sure he’s really even her type. I know she’s trying to not go after the same ‘wrong’ type as she has alluded to.

Did anyone else notice Gary picked the 2 ladies who were sexual to him. Teresa unclothed herself on 1st meeting and Leslie did a lap dance. Gerry is a Leo and they are all about romance and sex! Teresa seems to overwhelm him at times...
I wasn't really even thinking about it like that, but you're right, lol. Another thing, the 3rd pick was Faith, who did the sexy hair shake when she got off the motorcycle. He even brought that up to her family, it really made an impression on him.😂

First time watching your show enjoyed your commentary. Ok, my read. Gerry has a choice, living in the past (Theresa - aka Minnie Mouse- wily/ manipulative) or having an exciting new second act - (Leslie - aka Sexy Dancer - real/vulnerable) This choice will show us what kind of stuff Gerry is really made of either

Leslie had too many relationship issues and leads with sex which works initially but doesn't sustain a relationship. Theresa had one guy and hasn't had sex with anyone since. Both being widowed is a huge deal. Maybe he did have awkward sex with Leslie and felt more like "married love" with Theresa. Theresa would also move which is huge too. I feel like Theresa would be a ride or die for Gerry.
i think them both being widowed is a huge connection as we discussed in the recap, and I do feel Theresa gives him that married stability, and i also don't think moving to Indiana would be a problem for her at all! She wants companionship and would drop everything, or does she just want to win??

I had a negative feeling about Teresa from the start, and I have only watched the "catch-up" videos from the show. Leslie is so real. Teresa comes across as desperate, especially because she is willing to mold herself to his life-style.
Interesting. I actually feel like Theresa has been pickier. She’s always said she would only stay if it was the right match. And she made a point to tell Gerry that sleeping with him would be a big deal. I actually think she will be much more ok if he doesn’t pick her.
I like Leslie a lot! But the way she talks about wanting to be someone every single birthday and being disappointed each year it doesn’t happen. And how he can teach her how to be in a long term relationship.
I like them both a lot. And I like that he seems to share a sense of humor more with Leslie. Anyway…. I just don’t get why people are saying that 🤷♀️

New to your program ladies. Found it to be very interesting. With regards to the Golden Bachelor show , for me the jury is still out on whether I believe in what I watched as being true. Seemed so edited and contrived but then it’s my first experience in watching the Bachelor type shows. Realize the show is only an hour. Theresa is just way to needy and the type of woman who will mold herself into what her man wants even to the point of losing her own identity to keep him. Gerry may pick one of the two but will it go the distance? Doubtful at best.
she does seem to be needy, but that's why Kim and I were surprised at her career! I don't think he's in love with either woman. I think he should leave alone if that the case, in my humble opinion

They heavily edit the clips they show in the previews for drama to keep people watching and to make it harder for viewers to figure out what happens. I don’t think the “mistake” Gerry is taking about is going to end up being about his choice between the women. My thought is that he thinks it was a mistake to come on the show because of how much it hurts him to have to break someone’s heart.
She said she was very afraid of heights so for her to repel down that wet 170 ft cliff it was her overcoming her fears. That is why he was proud of her and told her so.

Leslie is 62 (according to Google. Keep in mind that this show is highly produced and highly edited. We get to see and hear what the producer(s) want to show us. Many times to keep us guessing. Reality Steve would have spoilers on the final rose at this point but he doesn’t.
This was the first bachelor show I ever saw. And your reason is exactly why I will never watch these shows again. I simply don’t like a man who throws the word love around. No thanks the editing is a tease. If he is so emotionally mature, then why would he be so childish to say I love you all over the place.
Listen, Theresa is not “hot” period. Everything she says is manipulative and very competitive. She put out, because she wants to WIN. Leslie is vulnerable but I think she has learned, and that’s exactly why she didn’t put out. The show didn’t show her intelligence, but it’s there. Editing is bad. T is so unattractive I can’t get it. But oh breast implants.
Hey Leslie was smart if she held back in sex. Maybe if he was disappointed as he expected hot nights. T puts on and says whatever he wants to hear, JMHO. And from what she was wearing the next morning, she probably put out, which SHOULD make him think twice. So you girls like a guy throwing words of love around? Really? Leslie has no drama! Sheesh. I didn't get the feeling that he had sex with Leslie. I know he had sex with Teresa. I could tell in the morning scene. She said a long "mmmm" after a kiss and his face was red with a goofy smile.
You are right on. He had sex with her. It is like Teresa was a Virginia since she had not had sex since her husband was alive.
Jodi didn’t think he and Leslie did either. But I feel like he wouldn’t have had so much guilt or talked about being with one woman one night and then another the following day.

Not knowing what Theresa's career was/is a week or 2 before a potential proposal illustrates how ridiculous this format is. But I've enjoyed the season. Leslie seems very sexual so I don't understand why the one of you thinks they didn't. If they didn't it's because Gerry didn't want to. And if they did, we don't know if Leslie was disappointed or not. I'd bet she has way more experience than he does. BTW, he had sex since wife died because the show required an STD test and if he'd been celibate since wife died he would've mentioned that in an interview imo. He has mentioned dating people also; and going on vacation with a female, who he was with when he got the call from the show. To some extent, my thought is Gerry is much more savvy with women than the vibe he gives on this show. The show wants us to see him as the sad lonely widower who longs for another true love, but I don't buy it. I don't see him staying with whomever he chooses, especially after this experience of lots of validation that he's desirable. Fundamentally, he's a man. He was with one woman for 40+ years and does he really want to confine himself to one woman for the next 15-20 years? Maybe I'm just jaded. I'm in that 3rd chapter myself and single, and freedom is pretty sweet. Also if it were me in Gerry's shoes, since he "loves" both, I'd be picking the FACE I want to look at for the next 15 years. That would be Leslie.
Wow! I love everything you’re saying here. Both Kim and I do not see him as a sad old man at all. The millennials do which drives us crazy. He’s only 72 and yes, I’m sure he’s had sex lol since his wife died. Leslie is more sexual and playful and much younger at 64. I’m 63 and look at him as too old for me 😂. I love how you talk about the face. A friend told me this when he met his wife. Said she’s the face I want to look at every morning. Once a pretty face, always a pretty face. I think he goes home alone. What do you think?

@@JodiHarrisonBauer-od3yt if it's not Leslie, I'd be happily surprised if he chose neither and either reconnected with someone he let go on the show or met someone entirely new after filming. THAT would make for one helluva stimulating ATR show.

I personally do not get why any of these women come on the show if they seriously in the end if they even think they're going to have a chance of getting along with the lead but they're not willing to move from the state they live in to be with him, I mean obviously it's two-sided but you should not just live for your grandkids and just you know, give up your happiness and not compromise. You're in your 60s or 70s your kids/grandkids need to stop being selfish. It's what sadly, i believe, killed it between him and Faith.
One thing to keep in mind is the cameras. It’s awkward knowing there’s a guy or two standing in the bedroom with you. So everyone gets points on that.
There is something about Teresa that brings out protectiveness in him and he’s midwestern so there may be that old fashion comfort with Teresa and her puppy eyes. I’m not a fan of hers and was hoping for Faith. But seems like her life is very set up and change would be hard. This could be Leslie too if he wants.

Gerry is not going to choose either one of them. I think he will decide that he wants lots of “friends” to visit in different states. His true love was his wife. He will probably continue dating/seeing Theresa, Leslie and Faith and others like Ellen and Joan. At the age of 72 it is hard to commit to a new person 💯. And who even knows if all of his equipment is still working at 72. Companionship are more valued at this age. Or if he does choose someone else it will be Faith, Ellen or Joan. Just my thoughts.

He had a second career after he retured from the restaurant business at 55. How did you miss that? He went back to get a certification in mediation.

I did listen to her on Nick’s show. I didn’t feel she bad mouthed him. I think it was more that he just wasn’t her type. I like that she’s feisty and unfiltered. She might be good TV for the 1st Golden Bachelorette. Not sure. Who else do you like?

Theresa is not dumb, but I read that her husband's career was a stick trader. She likely picked up a lot of tips during her marriage, and when she went through the testing for licensing, the husband probably tutored her intensely. This explains why she became so successful while in her 50's or 60's.
My thoughts about Theresa have NOT changed from my first uncomfortable feelings about her. It is Gerry's choice, but I will be quite disappointed if he chooses Theresa.

Interesting conversation. Of course we are seeing what the producers want us to see. Gary, of course is very likable, articulate, very sensitive - but knowing that these women were desperate to win his heart, I was disappointed that he threw the I love you around before he’d made a decision. It was clear that he sent the more beautiful, independent women home. He commented several times that he is drawn to the women who made him feel special because of the way they looked at him. If he wants clingy and googly-eyed then he picked Teresa. Comments have been made about how she’s a shy delicate flower. Stock traders aren’t delicate flowers. It takes a lot of guts and confidence to take on that career, particularly if she was able to sell herself enough to get hired at an age where that was almost impossible. So she knows how to get what she wants and she made no bones about the fact that she was going to get Gary. Agree that he’s more attracted to Leslie and may truly want to start a new life filled w adventure. He was smitten w her tho lit up when Teresa let him know she was a successful stock trader. She was clearly waiting for the moment to boast about her accomplishments. Leslie, obviously, has issues and hopefully the right man will allow her to see her own self worth.
I think the producers ought to do a little psychological evaluation of the bachelor to assess his weaknesses and strengths before filming. Same for bacheloette.

I think Faith is # 1 for GB, Leslie #2, April no, Susan would be great but I’m not sure she has the “look” they like.

Leslie is a better match for him, but I feel like she's having second thoughts. If he chooses her, I don't think she'll stay with him. I also keep thinking about the fact that he's not the type of guy she's usually interested in.
