Find the little lever by that screw that moves when you hit the gas and bungie cord it from that to the bottom to engage it it full time. You will be doin donuts and burning out, but use caution your wheels could fall off from goin like 45mph.
What size drive belt do you have on your ezgo cart. I have the same engine but can't seem to find the right drive belt
Just do an engine swap. I have a 150 GY6 motor in mine it hits 38. An old ninja 250 motor is also a good candidate for motor swap but more involved cause it's water cooled. But I really don't recommend going 38mph in a golf cart without modifying suspension and brakes. It gets super sketchy at high speeds.
Is this true? Mine hits 20mph and the governor kicks in. I’d like to get it to 22-25mph.

Just a reminder to the comment people do not and I repeat do not play or been the governor once the governor breaks inside the motor you will not have control.! It will rev up and go low rib up and go low you will destroy your motor. Yes it'll go fast at first but eventually it will break
Mine did that but it was just the carb
I have a 92 Ez Go and it is not getting enough power for some reason. I changed the plugs and the gas filter. Checked and cleaned the air filter. The engine does run and I do not hear any strange noises. I drive it every day. I guess a fuel line is clogged or something.
Might need to do a valve adjustment
I have a gas one and it goes to 30. Sometimes a little bit faster.
Same we broke something off near the carburetor and it goes like 25-30 when it only would go maybe 13
Mine goes 20 now but the governor stops it. So if I turn that screw to the right a little bit it should go a few mph more correct??
My ezgo is moving start moving slow, is anyone know about this.

I did the same but unbolted the exhaust and the air cleaner and it did 40, man Would she growl..
Not to mention it would pull the front wheels off the ground. Lol i have never heard an EZ go back fire. Fun is my only word.
Stock electric does 21 tho
ezgo stock electric doesn’t lmao i have a stock gas and electric and top speed feels the same, electric pulls harder obviously

This is dumb! By far the wrong way to get more speed out of your cart. If you did this you would leave your carb butterfly open all of the time and when you let off the gas and then got back on it the unburnt fuel would fire and cause a backfire. Also you only have wide open throttle..... I mean sure you have wide open throttle but there is a wrong way and a right way... This is wrong
Waiting for someone to say it. Basically this kid is turning the throttle plate open. Adjust the governor linkage. That’s the proper way to do it.
