I have a 2018 Club Car Precedent that had the Speed code set to code four, 19.6 miles an hour, GPS rounds up to 20. I spent $11 on a high-speed magnet and it now goes 22 miles an hour but eliminates the Regen breaking. Thank you
@@bocfus72 The magnet goes on the end of the motor, under the speed sensor hat.. And no reprogramming needed for the magnet. Results do vary some though with the magnet.
The idea of the handle welded to the motor is great. Why did'nt the manufacturer never thought about that? Great video, thanks for sharing, besides, I like your channel call title.
Plum Quick does great work! I have a 48v Precedent Ckub Car with a speedy magnet. Mine runs consistent 22 mph and the speedy magnet is only $25.00 I also have a lift and bigger tires and wheels.
Billy Hale I second this statement. I was looking at reprogramming or buying a new motor, but bought a $15 magnet to try that first. Top speed increased from 17 to 23 on the flats, and I can hit 31 down a hill. Lifted with bigger tires. A magnet should be everyone’s first mod if looking for speed.

It's still doing same thing nothing. If i let it sit for awhile it wheel proform regularly and then just quik moving. Do you thing i need to change motor? Your professional opinin is appreceiated.
Kind of unrelated to the video but I have a question. What would be the best golf cart to upgrade? As far as cost to upgrade, to improve speed, torque, lift, etc? I have a 2014 star cart but everything is expensive and I’m not sure it’s worth the extra money to upgrade it.
So question. I have a 2004 ezgo txt series golf cart that does not have a run tow switch. I have learned for some reason Ezgo did not equip all carts with run tow switches. My cart also has the flip lever forward reverse switch, not the three position toggle switch. My town as of yet does not allow street use of golf carts , however they do allow LSV's. My cart already has almost everything to make it an LSV but by there requirements for LSV it has to do 20mph and not more then 25mph. My cart currently does about 13 to 14mph so can I put a plum quick motor on a 36volt cart? Also does plum quick have a motor that will do this and also increase my torque? I ask about increasing my torque because we also use the cart at campground to pull a tag along 4 seater trailer made from a 1991 club car ds frame and rear axle and main body. I want to make sure if I'm spending the on a new motor that it will be able to handle pulling the tag along trailer along with the weight of up to 8 adults total without ruining or overheating the new motor.. And yes there are some hills in the campground roads to pull but nothing major. Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
What you have is called a series cart. The series carts have the lever under the legs. Now you can still do a navitas ac kit but you will need to change the harness out on the cart as well as purchase a few parts. The whole lsv thing is something that you have to do and apply for, I think here I can get a cart registered for around $799 after I get everything for it. On a series cart like you have a controller will only give you more torque but a motor will give you speed. Yes you can get a motor from them to speed up the cart however most of the time they require you to have a good battery pack or lithium and a aftermarket controller. If you are going to be pulling a trailer with more adults then I would get a torque motor. I would also get an aftermarket controller to deliver the amperage needed to haul that load.
How do I go about starting the process of shipping my motor to plum quick. I can't find any online submission forms or anything like that. Do I just have to call them and let them know? Or do they send me a shipping label?
I have a 2000 Club Car it has an old charger with it 3 pen round I would like to get a new charger not sure what to do but I know it needs to be three pen round I hope you can help me the old charger is so heavy

This is a question I often get and hope to make a video on this. However, I will answer it. You will need to find a replacement motor for your exact golf cart and golf cart system. There are 2 main systems in a cart Series & Sepex systems. What type of cart do you have? Also what is the year of it?
Awesome. Did you have to change anything else other than the motor? The sites says is recommended buying other stuff and I was wondering what we’re your thoughts?
@JoelBack is right, just the motor. However the next video in the series we lifted it with wheels and gained 4mph. Then the 2nd video after this one I replace the stock controller with the dc navitas controller and it gave us much more speed, torque and controllability. However I have removed both the motor and controller and did the navitas ac conversion and its running 35 now.

Electric wont have a governor. But if urs is gas, remove the case on back of cart. On the transaxle there is a linkage arm on left side, loosen the nut the the linkage and theres a “stud” thats in the linkage. Put a small flat tip screwdriver or pick or something in the whole in the stud. Turn it one way, itll make cart slower. Turn it the other way itll make it faster. Turn to desired speed (its super touchy) and then tighen the governor arm back up.

Ohh yea! I had it running 30 with a lift and controller but just removed the motor and controller and did the ac conversion. It runs 35 now on 2.5 year old batteries.
if it spins around (4:07 of video), the bolts are loosened up enough and it should "pop" off. That's all they are held on by. Keep trying, you will get it. If it won't spin, you missed a bolt somewhere. Good luck
The motor often times gets some rust that makes it a pain to get off. Avoid trying to pry it off because you can damage the housing and possibly more. Just keep shaking it and try some penetrating oil. I've only had 1 motor that I truly could not get off without damaging it.

They can reprogram your cart to speed code 4 (19 mph on stock tires, bigger tires will increase to 21mph or so) in 10 mins, you have to buy the program for each cart (by Serial #) . Usually anywhere from $80-$125 depending on the 'Stealer'....lol. Speed Magnet will just eliminate the regen or engine braking, and speed it up some, but not what you really want. Best, safest, easiest and cheapest way to speed up a ClubCar . If you REALLY need more Torque and Power try carts unlimited, ScottyB for an Alltrax XCT400 Controller and really unleash it. I'm getting way more torque and 27mph on a 20" Tire. I've tried all the 'Tricks' out there, and these are your Best bets, the rest is all Fkn Fluff... You Get what you pay for.
@@johnn8414 Do I interpret correctly that you added the Alltrax XCT400 to a stock motor and got these increases? Would suspect improved wiring was needed with the bulked up controller, correct?
THANKS GREAT JOB
well done video!
Man for $275 that’s so worth it
How long did it take to get motor back?
bout a week.
@@Fentertainment Wow so you sent it in and got it back within a week? That's legit if so
Not there and back in a week. It took 2 days to ship it there and then I got it 7 days after it arrived there.
Not badaf all, I appreciate the info brotu
Well done 👍🏼 I was wondering if you could speed up a electric golf cart
Ohh yea! I had it running 30 with a lift and controller but just removed the motor and controller and did the ac conversion. It runs 35 now on 2.5 year old batteries.
How long will this motor last?
I have buddies with the same motor that has been in their cart for years. I guess it depends on how you use it or abuse it.
I grab
Igrenas
Igrenas. No. Brazil.
I removed all my screws from my 98 Club car and motor didn't budge. Even tapped at it with wood and a hammer and never came loose. :(
if it spins around (4:07 of video), the bolts are loosened up enough and it should "pop" off.
BEWARE - increasing the speed capability of a golf cart changes its legal status in some states like Florida if you plan to drive it on public roads requiring state licensing and liability insurance.
the only way to make it faster is to change the motor?
Thanks
Nice video, thanks.
