No the small cap kit is thick plastic....however you do not need metal caps on the paces where these go. Ive ran them on my SG for 3 years with no issues. Only the rocker box top caps need to be metal.
steve i brought 2 different cam engine bolt cover kits so far they been plastic from ciro sent them both back tried diamond cut black an chrome an the spike one also got the second one today tried calling them can never get through
Yes the large pack for the bottom of engine, not on the engine...just cams and covers...they are plastic. The top rocker box caps are metal. The caps down the covers do not need to be metal.
I have a secret stash of VINs ....lol just messin man...Check with Detroit Choppers..call them up and they can hook you up with a set in just about any color.
these just press on. no glue. Use a soft towel and pair of pliers and gently pull the off. Ive already had to remove two to add some accessory wire clips from other parts and they came off without damaging them. The cheapos I have on my street glide get damaged about 90% of them time ...these ciro's are much thicker than those.
I just received my rocker box bolt covers from parts giant and they won't stay on. They are the right ones and look great, but will fall off because they don't grip the bolt heads.
as with any bolt toppers you may ned to apply a small , very small dab of silicone on the back side. They will come off later when you pull them off and the silicone pops right off. do that and youll be fine.
Just ordered the bolt covers. When my bike goes into JD for a service I will want to remove them myself so they don’t damage them. Which ones will need to be removed for a 5k service?
The 5k service is just a lot of checking and maybe a 3 hole oil change. None of the covers need to come off that you have the caps on. the derby cover will come off to fill the primary but there are no caps on that. the only ones they might pull, if they need to, would be your side transmission cover. you should have some caps on that. Use a small pair of channel locks and soft towel...gently rotate them and pull at the same time...Ive already had to take a few off and put back on...no issues if you take your time.
Its a Halrey Davidson 2018 CVO Solo with passenger pillion seat. The ornage stitching was from 2018. They made a few, red, tan and ornage stitching. Here is one on ebay that's like this one www.ebay.com/itm/133887219538?hash=item1f2c4cd752:g:jDAAAOSw891hTz~m However there are knock offs of this seat all over ebay and amazon...not sure on the quality of those though.
Somewhat misleading? The rocker box caps are metal...so they dont melt..the others are simple bolt covers...that dont need to be metal. Price a set of all metal caps for your bike. I assure it wont be 50. The last set I purchased for a build was 450 bucks. You might want to hang on to the caps you have now unless you are building a show bike and want metal caps at 450?

Yeah im not sure but they discontinued a lot of their metal parts.
Does that shift linkage cover have a white line on it, or is that just a reflection of the light? I prefer it to be solid black.
