- The Lich is one of the most misunderstood classes in Brotato, and one of the ones people struggle with the most due to its unique playstyle. Come see how to make it work!
Detailed class guide and gameplay for Brotato 1.0 on max difficulty, including the unique mechanics, best build, and tips for this class. This run features neverending healing!
I'd like to add that I have beaten wave 20+ with 35 different characters in 40 tries, thanks to the Cephalopacalypse's guides! That shows that the guides aren't just randomly made up, but very thoroughly accurate on what is the best build for each and every character. Freaking awesome.
Ghost or Glutton next?
You are my go-to guide for D5 builds and I get sad when I don't see one. Truly.
On the way soon and thanks very much! Good news is there are very few left I haven't covered, so that pain will soon be a thing of the past!
What a breath of fresh air after the 48 hours of hell that was Jack. I never felt like I could die from the first round on following your advice. Great video per usual.
i won danger 5 directly after watching this video by getting 3 cute monkys and a sidf's relic :) thanks for the guide i found it extremly useful
Awesome, congrats on the win! Glad it helped :D
ive been making my way through all these character guide videos and they are super helpful! thanks for all ur work making them ❤
Really neat and clean guides!
Thank you so much!
Thanks so much, glad you like them! :D
I think scissors are the best weapon starting out, then going shields because they buff armor and scale damage on armor. The knock back is great too because it helps push most adds away when you’re trying to focus an elite or other tanky enemy.
This was the first guy that got me through danger 5😊
Nice!
This guy sounds so much easier than he is. I never find enough armor and get steamrolled between 14 to 19.
He always seems to get amazing drops in the shop. His stats always seem to be much better
Yeah I've noticed that every run he does...
There are so many sentences in this video that if you didn't understood how this particular character works you would think that you got the general rules of video gaming totally a$$-backwards 😂 E.g. 23:05 "Then I'll find some projectiles and walk into them" 😁
Thanks for this. Struggled with a lot and these were all great
I’m addicted to these
Lich by far is the most perfect character for me. I really love ranged, Life Steal, speady weapons, and taking damage (apparently) and it all is in Lich. I've enjoyed it so much. I had five lvl 3 SMG, and one lvl 4 chaingun, easy kill of the boss on lvl 0 (unlocking weapons and items).
The only thing i dont understand is why you seem so Anti- weapon clearing on lich. Like, i get that your passive will kill, but you make it seem like its a mistake to upgrade the slingshots, when they're clearning chaff, which your passive cant do. Less chaff means higher chance the passive procs to the elite/boss, no?
I ended up with 3 flamethrowers by round 13 and 4 by round 17. I actually struggled to stay below full health because I was regenerating it so quickly and killing off enemies before I could run into them!
I think stick would be the easiest weapon for player's having a really hard time. It takes care of its base damage by itself and mastery can make it higher for cheap by itself for a little extra push. This let's you be less reliant on the damage you get from healing and lean into a real beat down plan. Keep an eye out for the 1 dmg to self/s items to get the most out of the passive without needing the best amount of armor while not forgetting you can no longer take weird ghost. Weird ghost is insane on a character that starts with 10 regen, but self damage is worth it. And remember that attack speed is a dps stat unaffected by the 50% damage debuff. Same goes for crit, so it's the second highest returning stat for dps on Lich. Don't go all it on crit tho. It's still not that good. 😅
Thank you!
As always, this helped a lot! :)
Was getting stuck unlocking items on mage until I found your vids. Thanks! Can you suggest some other games that have the content/depth of brotato? There’s so many of these out there now, but this one has some meat to it lol
Awesome, thanks! :D For other horde survivals, the one that really made this genre take off recently was Vampire Survivors, which is still in a lot of ways the best. If you don't mind aiming, Crimsonland from 2005 is one of my all time favorites, and I've been enjoying God of Weapons which just came out. For other genres, definitely browse around the channel a bit, I've been showcasing games I think are cool and strategically deep so there's a lot here
Yeah, vs is probably the best one. I’ve tried Nordic ashes, halls of torment. Think brotato is my favorite. Was looking at god of weapons, I’ll check it out
Once I heard that having “33-50% HP” was a good thing, this was a breeze. That stuff happens to me on my GOOD runs at the best of times. 🙄 Thx for the assist. Another tater down.
Does Torture only activate once per second as a 4+ health regen? I'm sure I took it once and it was 1+ regen 4 times per second?
Not sure if you're still making content for this game, but I would love a video detailing how to unlock each character!
Another banger video. THAAAAANK YOUUUUUU
Thanks very much!
How do u roll the horde or bosses?
I used a scissors build for the life steal but had some real difficulties with the boss at the end. Guess I'll go slingshot next time 😉
I highrolled Sidf's Relic on the elite and then got blood donation, turned into a roflstomp. Took me to endless Wave 30 with the triple bosses just taking me down.
Nice, congrats!
just did this build with smg, too much life steal, this is much better!!!
I was playing while watching the video but I dint follow anything and won like I got 7 ranged damage and went with crit build with a 2 tenticle
I find it hard with characters like this to fight my instincts and force myself to take damage!
Yeah, that's also doubly hard with this one since it's not just "never dodge" it's "take exactly enough damage to always be hurt" and that's a tough balance to get my brain around
It's a great character when you have auto-damage (like blood donation).
Definitely a great item for the character, but actually less important for lich than for the other self-damaging classes. Blood donation triggers the passive 1 time/second, and you want to be setting it off like 10 times/second. Definitely a help but won't solve all your problems the way it does for Bull
I was doing a play along run, I was doing good until I forgot I was going into an elite wave and bought bait and weird ghost...
i tried this lich but his problem is max hp is not enough to kill aliens in one hit, and there's just too many of them. i died getting swarmed. my heal kinda good here. i use medic gun plus one gatling so i can reach lifesteal cap of 10 ticks per second. plus some hp regen of 4-5 ticks per second. your max hp is 138 in wave 19 right? that's too low compared to other characters i think.
Yeah, late game lich just wants to play pretty defensively I think, once you have the defensive stats online you kind of turn into a pacifist
5 runs and not a single monkey -.- even with 2x the armor and similar stats all round, my wave clear is just not happening after 17
is the sceptre bad for this character?
Sadly, yes - the damage reduction will make it hard to clear waves with an already-weak weapon, and the lich passive will steal kills from the scepters so you won't get the hit points from them often
@@Cephalopocalypse oh i see, thx for the reply
Great vid! Could you do ghost next?
Thanks! :D Ghost on the way soon!
How do you get him?
Reach +100 Max HP
This character is such a nightmare
I'm not a lich, but I do tend to like lich and necromancer characters XD
Necro is in my top 3 classes in Guild Wars 2 for sure! That and Ranger probably tied for top honestly haha! Love pet builds in most games
@@Bogrin same, pet classes are generally fun
I knew it!
Lich is rly fun with right items... Scissors into the Saw. + Some Hp regen item... Legit unkillable😂
With you everything is easy thx player
love the guides too bad most the time its not the method I am using its just me being unable to dodge manually. Mostly getting smoked by elite waves around lvl 17.
Definitely a common place for runs to end, you are not alone! I have a video planned to showcase dodging patterns for each elite, so stay tuned and that should help ;)
I got 2 blood donations and its mental.
