Brotato had a bigger update and added 4 characters, the next one in line is Lich, an interesting character that deals damage to the enemies based on his HP amount whenever he heals. Healing only gets triggered when the character had HP lost, meaning at full HP you can't heal.

Actually brotato is one of the few games, where Bounce + Pierce work how you really want it to. If pierce cant hit an enemy, it will bound and vice versa. So its never wasted
I picked this game up after being pretty into vampire survivors. I like the balance in this game more since in VS you basically try to get to a point where you afk the last half of a run.
You were getting so many explosion items because of passive - enemies are exploding for 100% hp when you heal - and that is scaling with explosion items :)
That scare on wave 16 - I definitely thought you were dead from the blood donation hahah

i first tried lich on highest difficulty bcs of the money daggers, reduced dmg so crits is an ez double and the new item healing when critting, and the daggers allowed me to have more money and go for lots of items....and once i was strong enough i just kept running in and it was a free win

Whenever I run this, I found pierce + slingshot to be amazingly good. You basically get one more attack.
I’ve made the BD/Weird Ghost mistake more than I care to admit 😂 btw the 165 was because you got that item that deals 25% more to bosses
What you were able to avoid, was a dire fate for me xD i had a rlly good run and had 3 blood donations with a lot of hp regen and took the max hp+3 but start at 1 hp ghost and died as soon as I hit go . It made me more cautious tho so that's something good i guess

why not try using the medical gun? It seems like the best balance between damage and healing, no?
Whenever I tried the medical gun for healing purposes it did so much worse than the SMG or for that sake any fast firing weapon.
Lets compare purple tier and ignore life steal, since life steal is capped out either way (with max 10/s).
It deals 10 damage and fires every 0.78s with a 100% ranged damage scaling, or 12/second
The Slingshot deals 16x4 damage (3 bounces) so 64 damage every 1.13s, or 57/second, but the scaling is at 320% since you have 4 hits
So damage wise there is no reason to go for the medical gun over the Slingshot, so the other scenario would be healing.
At 20% Lifesteal (I think that's reasonable) the medical guns (6) will heal (7.7 hits per second at 70% Lifesteal (purple gets 50% extra)) 5.39 HP/sec.
The SMG shoot every 0.17s, so 5.88 times multiplied by 6 guns, so 35 times, multiplied by 20% Lifesteal = 7 HP/sec.
Damagewise the SMG deals 29 dmg/second.
In other words, the SMG is better in regards to damage AND healing, with the additional benefit of overkilling enemies less, but wasting ammo so it kinda equals out. Mathematically speaking the Slingshot is by far the best.
Healingwise I am not too sure if all bounces can heal. If not, then the Slingshot heals for 1 HP/second, that's obviously horrible but I also think that's not what we saw. If bounces count on 6 purple, then you heal for 4 HP/second and that sounds more reasonable.
