Hi Marshall, I’ve reported this repeatedly to RUclips and they don’t care. Clearly a bunch of top level crooks involved. It’s a deep fake. Elon Musk should be made aware of this. This was reported on SABC but nothing has been done about it!!!??? They caught me once with my crypto!!! Not happening again!!! Thank you Marshall
Problem is you can’t track who they are… you can easily create an advert like that if you have the money to pay for the advert and a simple gmail account… anyone can have a fake gmail account and it’s hard to track them
There are what are called payment gateways… for example PayPal and stripe… if the payments are going into those accounts it take 3-6months to simply report and reclaim your money… by that time they would have moved your money already… just watch more videos about online scams and you will see why it takes years to catch these guys normally

My concern is that these ads have been running for sometime now and they have still not been shut down, thereby allowing SA citizens to be caught out. Where are our watchdogs/anti-crime authorities on this????
The problem with the authorities is that they don’t spend time watching RUclips videos so they probably are not aware of this. Secondly you can report an advert today but it will appear tomorrow with a different account and RUclips customers service is based on the US meaning even if the authorities know, who will they contact to deal with it.

These scammers pay for advertising. So RUclips gets paid first and then they check later. Also these scammers keep using new RUclips channels to make these ads, meaning that RUclips can ban two today but they will open 5 other ones tomorrow and by the time they ban them people have already lost their money🤦🏿♂️

I did block the ads and reported that to youtube on different occasions but it keeps on popping up on all my videos even though youtube did promise that I will not see the ads again eish...

It’s because these guys pay RUclips to advertise- so RUclips takes time to review any claims against them… also these guys have many channels with the different videos as I showed… so if you report one and they take it down, by tomorrow the scammers would have launched other adverts using different channels and because they are paying money to advertise RUclips will be slow to review them

Why do they advertise scams on RUclips?
Companies pay RUclips to advertise, RUclips doesn’t check if it’s a scam or not. RUclips only knows if multiple people report
You Tube is nothing but a bunch of money-grabbing crooks.
I literally just saw one of those ads this morning
I’ve seen the same ad like 4 times today alone
And what I've realised about these types of scams it's that there are only English names like John, Elizabeth etc and you won't find a South African name on their testimonials or comments
Luckily I didn't fall for this, I knew that it's a scam when I first saw this video because I know those types of scams related to this, but I got scammed before, not by these people
Yea that’s a very observation, they don’t use real African names and yet it’s for all South Africans 🤦🏿♂️

Isn't there anything in place to stop this type of thing happening. Surely You tube or whomever should be policing this type of deception. I've come across a whole lot of job vacancy advertisements where when you click on the button it takes you to a page advertising their companies services and nothing to do with employment vacancies whatsoever. Is RUclips so desperate for more users that they allow a platform for con artists to do their thing. Please could you talk more on this. Best Regards
