In Sim battles, the Gripen has worked very well for me, it keeps its energy very well while having a better high speed nose authority than most other planes at mach speeds which can really save your life. Its acceleration in a straight line isnt too far behind the F16 imo after mach 1.2, the only problem is really just having 4 missiles and a sort of finicky radar
The Gripen is still my favorite top tier jet in SIM as well. Sure, it doesn't have as many missiles as the other jets but It's still a gripen and superior at any cenario in my opinion. The mirage 2k flight model is surprisingly very good in sim as well. This mirage+ gripen combo I found to be a great way to deal with this f16c spam rn.
Great gameplay as always! Regarding Gripen’s damage model - it is kinda cracked tbh, other planes would be destroyed by those hits u got.

@@c-rod512 the only problem that i have with custom afterburners is when i use them, i can't use WT base skins
@@rafaelgama3532 you can use both you just have to add the required BLK text that the skin uses, because the afterburner mod automatically will replace that file. BLK text is found in the mod descriptions of the skins.
i don't get why gaijin didn't give the gripen wingtip amraams, aren't the wingtips absurdly large just for the ability to carry amraams on it?
negative, it at no point could carry wingtip AMRAAM. Its a fucking TINY aircraft remember, those tips arent large to carry missiles, they are large because they contain a ton of sensors.

@@zehi04 no not really, more like all the input sensors for the side Radar Warning Receivers, the A and C did not have serious ECM capability, the C could carry ECM pods under the fuselage where the conformal fuel tanks and Targeting Pod go, it wasnt until the D that serious internal ECM was added. The other Receivers are on the Vertical Stabilizer on the tail and the nose, all they do is let you know you are being tracked or locked from those 4 directions, there are no receivers on the top or bottom.
air EC has always been my preferred match type due to my preferred flight style. I always bring max fuel in top tier and aim to outlast the enemy and have chase down/loitering capability.
What do you think the other fox 3s are performing after comparing to the amraam?
Meanwhile i only have the R-Darter on the SA gripen and it seems that they loft too hard even on targets that are close and approaching you and miss the target because they can maneuver back in time

Due to high number of counter measures it can carry ,so could having "periodic counter measure" on for most of the time help reduce the chance of enemy gaining lock or when locked/fired missile have a higher chance of miss?
yes and no you see the reason the gripen has a shit ton of countermeasures is becuase of the bol pods but the bol pods take a bunch of more flares to dodge a missile than normal ones but yes periodic countermeasures is better but i like to just press the countermeasure button every once and while

With the free camera, the pilot's view will always be at the center of the free camera

I'm pretty new to high rank Air battles ,so need advise on how to doge missiles. in this video [of yours] I see you doge missiles mostly with chaffing and some manouvering ,is that enough? cause I do whatever I can including going cold and missiles still catch me 🥲
In BVR, if you make the right decision with correct positioning, going cold to the missile works. If you're within lethal range, it's always good to use evasive maneuvers and chaffs

All flights are fine except f15,f16. Especially when f15 goes up towards space, we have no choice but to run away with a trivial engine.
