  • Is NASA a waste of money? It is one of the most iconic brands on the planet but at 18.3 billion dollars each year is it worth it? Should we focus on disease, storms, hunger, world peace before we push into space?
In this video I not only propose that NASA is worth it but they provide specific value by:
    (1) Providing strong ROI to the US economy (beyond their budget)
    (2) Developing spin off technology that solves problems on earth (e.g. WB HRZS and AMSR-E satellite)
    (3) Improve international relations (e.g. ISS + lunar base)
    (4) Develop planetary defence plans (e.g. Dart)
    (5) Inspire the dreamer inside all of us
To learn more about NASA's spinoffs check out: spinoff.nasa.gov/
What do I use to make my videos?
    (1) Microphone: amzn.to/2Irz4UA
    (2) Phone Recording: amzn.to/2GUFcrq
    (3) Drone: amzn.to/2JhArX7

Was the money spent by European nations to explore and colonize the Americas and the rest of the world by ships worth it when most people were in poverty in Europe? It lead to the world wide civilization we have today with great advances in technology and everything.
It is theoretically possible that the nations of the world can take good care of everyone and solve their injustices by themselves without developing technology and science. But history almost always shows that human nature is against this possibility, and advancing technology usually is the best way to raise the masses to a higher living standard.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. There are so many examples of where pushing the boundaries of understanding has not initially had clear value but has resulted in massive value.

NASA improved the world, they launched satellites to, you know, help farmers so they can help prevent children from starving, and, they did that all in just 10 billion USD. The military spends 650 billion USD on killing people and you think NASA is a waste of money? Shame on you.

@Daisy Moultrie that's just what we need to make more robust society, the more resources, the tougher it is for that civilization to be wiped out

@Daisy Moultrie no, you don't understand, it's not the only one dies is the one at impact site, the dust from eat is gonna cover the whole world, we can't grow plants how are we gonna eat?

Permissionless innovation would most likely do the same thing naša aims to do at a fraction of the cost.

i bet you failed your physics class. Your life is a failure and your life is a waste of money.

@@brawlyx5826 All the things you said before the last sentences are true. The last paragraph is pretty mean though, but he may have failed his physics class.
