They designed the e36 like this so it could be recycled more easily. I suppose it's only a problem for those of us who want to keep it around.😂 They didn't want to have metal or plastic impregnated into the fiberboard door panels. An attempt to keep all materials separated. FYI it's often cheaper to get all black door handles than to replace one Chrome.
Hey man, is it still holding up with that gorilla glue you used? I saw some other people using different glues, so I was wondering which one is best. I'm really trying to future proof my e36, make it last as long as possible :)

great video - well done and thanks
Can you take the door panel off and on again without it breaking, bc I've been have trouble with my windows recently, so I would have to be doing that
I assume so. I haven’t had to take mine off since I’ve done this
@@jinendow how would you remove the door panel if you glued it on there?
@@ajensen27 you’re not gluing the door panel onto the door. all you’re gluing is the new metal bracket to the door panel
@@jinendow ahhh gotcha! Thanks, getting some off eBay now
Thanks a lot very helpful
No because my door pannel camw off today idk if its because its old and the extreme heat but damn

Legit works, I did this to my passenger side on my e36 yesterday April 7th 2022, and it really sits better (check my page out if you don’t mind 😉)
“15 bucks for a new one” ?? Try to make it yourself for that money 😁
