I was in Bethel and worked in Security for a couple of years. It wasn't too bad at first, but during lockdown it became very difficult. The shifts were brutal. We would do 7 consecutive night shifts when the legal limit in this country is 4 max. The whole team got pretty depressed. One guy was on a night shift and went to eat some food. He sat at table after heating up his meal and just sat there. He suddenly broke down crying.
A lot of us did research on how we could improve the conditions for the team. We went to our overseers with the research and they were reluctant to change things. They did eventually mildly improve things, but only after the brothers who had gone forward with the research and the ones who had suffered the most had left the team.
It was very common though for people in other departments, especially sisters, to feel incredibly overwhelmed by their assignment. They would often be interviewed and like this video they would express their experience as if it was positive. In reality, they were just barely coping. And the amount of mental and emotional breakdowns was ridiculous considering we were supposedly working along with God.

@@becky3446 yup. Still a 3 day thing. When I was a kid, it was 4 days long. And my mom told me that the year I was born is when they changed it from 5 days down to 4.

I still have occasional nightmares about it, when I get really stressed.
It was boring and uncomfortable long ago especially after lunch so I can imagine now when the whole convention is about damage control on apostate let us rejoice and be glad we are out of this wicked cult
The love for God, and the daily devotion of Him is admirable.
Many of us leave the organization but do not leave God.
If only they realised who Jehovah/Yahweh really is.

When I was little, I would often stay with my Grandma. I have strong memories of Jehovah's Witnesses showing up at the door and Grandma turning off the lights and television and whispering to us, telling us to stay quiet until they left. I didn't know who they were, but her behavior made me frightened of them.
Your grandma was right thank God she did not go talk to them her life and yours would be messed up today like so many of us
We had a couple of young guys from our hall go for a temp assignment out in Bethel. They came back and dropped, they were working 12 hours a day construction and when they werent they were expected to be at meetings and all that. They over work you to death for free!

I always think about the bethelite who told me not to go to bethel. I was so steamed, he told me i wouldn't like it and to just be a pioneer. Then we continued the bethel tour and i saw that he spoke the truth i would have hated it 😂 not that i would have gotten in anyway 😂

I am so thankful I have never been a JW, but I love learning about cults. This is super cringy.
The sad thing is that there is no reason for them to do this. There are plenty of JWs to distribute work (yes, even unpaid work). Why abuse a few giving them so many hours and so much work?

WT saves money with fewer people. WT feeds the workers, washes their clothes & provides a room with electricity 💰 The workers are expected to pick up the slack 🥴

Be observant and preach to those not in doors has been what they taught pioneers in 2009 at the pioneer school. 😂 it’s kinda sad that they have to tell members a door doesn’t make the householder preach to people. They were and are simply false prophet apostates who propagated their false teachings through the literature they published and distributed.
They instigated their rebelliousness and disloyalty to Jesus and his instructions for preaching his gospel and instead made up a false apostate gospel to commercialize literature. .
The bible says to not listen to false prophets or men who say things that god did not give them to say.
