so much of this is topical knowledge, fun to watch them figure it out for you, over 60 years later.

I was an avid baseball fan during the period in which Soar was an American League umpire. He was a former NFL player. The supervisor of umpires at the time, Cal Hubbard,
was a former Hall of Fame football star with the Giants and Packers. He supposedly liked former football players as umpires because they had the size to intimidate the players

You have to figure that any window washer who does his thing on tall buildings, probably has a good sense of well-being Thanks for the video.

11:51: "I think it's rather a nasty habit." Forthrightly said, at a time when cigarette advertising was a major source of TV ad revenue.

That was hilarious. Winston and Salem were major sponsors of this show. This particular show was sponsored by Geritol.

Game #2. Contestant 2 kept looking at contestant 1 with intensity, when she answered question. Weird.

I love Kitty Carlisle; she's by far, my favorite panelist on any version of TTTT. But bless her heart...she's never seen a baseball game, and a few episodes back, she admitted to not ever having seen a basketball game. Did the people around her put her in a cave in between tapings?

Why did Polly get a second chance to ask questions? I know we’ll never know. Ralph Bellamy also had a second chance once.

It looks like they allotted a certain amount of time for all the questions. If they had some extra time after the first go-through, they started a second round of questions.

It can't have been an easy task, being a panelist here. You have to know at least a few things regarding the different professions and the rest you have to do from scratch. Personally I've given up guessing who it might be (well almost... ;). There's no particular pattern to follow, all you have to stick to is the answers and sometimes the contestant's personality. :)

In game #2 (the balloonist) I wonder why Kitty Carlisle is using card #1 to show her answer or does it not matter?

After 60 years, I'm going to make the call that it doesn't matter.
