If I've said it once I've said it a million times, a true craftsman and his tools! That looked like an uncomfortable sit up in the tower, however you laid out those two fox like a true professional!
Well done Simon. I dont have a 6mm PPC but i do have a .22-250 Rem. With 69 grain Sierra TMK bullets at 3100 fps, it is lights out on Crows, Coyotes and even a few deer.
Great to unwind watching your vids mate. Also great to see ya mate Jack. I think he’s everyone’s mate now. Old lad. Bless him. Just charged my Reign M2 for tomorrow. So, early night. Take care pal.👍
Hi Simon, you may have seen it but come accross vid on here How rifles are made sako and tikka A walk round the factory, amazing, total craftsmanship so chimes with your markmanship
Very happy to see another chapter from my favorite shoting team, a bit less happy for what happened to the Foxpro remote control, bad full immersion experience for it, reallly hard rescue. Thanks for the note on ammunition. As always great management of the scene I mean the little squeek to stop the fox and rapid shot, great
Agree totally Simon, one of the best and SAFEST combos for night fox, even useful in low light situations. I’m approaching 78 and have been using the exact same combo for years in 22/250. I’ve been going out on foot with quad sticks and quietly cleaning up sections of my permissions one at a time, no need for long dodgy shots. I’ll be packing in sometime maybe after lambing so my kit will be up for sale.
Hi Simon, hope you are well . Great video as usual, even better seeing footage with the boss in it. Took out a fox between Christmas and New Year, there is another one causing problems but it is like the "Scarlett Pimpernel"...
Very interesting. I have a bergara in 243 I use with 70 grain sierra. Very accurate at the range. Ive also found 22-250, 223 and 222 to shoot very well. My 222 is easy to shoot super accurately. Another round I really enjoy is the 204 Ruger. Very fast with a 33 or 40 grain projectile. Tikka Varmint in 204 brought me some amazing hits on coyote. Thanks for your great videos, experience and teaching
Hi Simon, sorry to hear about the remote (😂) hope you find it afther all, BTW top shots as ever, culled myselve one litte vixen tonight 100 Km apart from were I live.
Simon, so good to see new videos with the Drone Pro I luv mine nothing can touch them but we live in fear of them going tits up ...I use the remote button on mine to reduce wear and tear of on off switch brill videos as usual bud out my self tonight..hope you find remote bud.
Another really great and enjoyable vid.....and I know it's a cliche (think I spelt that right 🤔) but you definitely saved the best til last with the always welcomed appearance of Jack, it's great to see him. Foxes are a problem at the poultry farm where I have a permission but the farmer there deals with them as he's got an FAC .22 rimfir....I would never even consider it with an air rifle....anyway the farmer got a laptop for Christmas so I've let him your RUclips channel and told him he'll love it and to subscribe! All the best mate.
Thanks for the video, good to see you two about. I can't justify a 6ppc at the mo ,but never say never. Borrow a pinpointer off a metal detectorist to find the remote. Pity I'm not local. atb neil
Hi Simon just had today a call from warwickshire firearms police. They have said i can have my firearms back next Wednesday. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ME. I am buzzing wooh hoow.
Happy new year Simon to you and all the family all the very best for 2024.Doing it the right way as always with respect and dignity one shot instant kill conservation is key pal.As always tho Jack completes the video brilliant. All the very best 👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴
Hi Simon, try a fish landing net for the remote. If you want it back where it’s been! Couldn’t wait on my side like that, knackered back but also hurts the arm and shoulder your leaning on after a while. I like my comfort!
You couldn't have picked a worse place to drop the remote lol. Bet that's not covered by warranty. If you need, we can take up a collection and you can get a replacement remote. Great shooting. Thanks for the video.
TIe a large Kitchen Sieve to a long stick, and go back to the Midden, Simon. It'll all stink, but I'll lay odds that you retrieve it. (Done that.-Got the T-shirt) 😄
Happy new year Simon to nice shots all most the same spot for them foxes great shooting and a great video, and did you find the remote looked awful smelly.
That sure made picking them up easy! LOL Well done once again. I woulda just ordered a new remote .💩 Yikes!!! hahaha Great to see jack in on this one too.👍👍
😎👏👍happy new year mr simon from chile excelente equipo de caza magnifico rifle y mejor mira telescopica pero inutil sin un buen tirador detras del rifle un abrazo
Good shooting Si. I have got to say your videos are back to the original format, not Scott Country adverts like some of you last few. I for one watch for your skill, not to see what kit your advertising. I realise sponsorship is good for you but don’t let it take over. Tonight’s was just right. Your best bit of kit is the £2 bob hat with the light from Home Bargains. They are a brilliant bit of kit🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Lol ye cheers Eddie i know exactly what you mean pal i turn down so much sponsorship these days you wouldn't believe me if i told you, in fact only above this comment i can have some free boots lol but by the time you see this it probably will have gone lol.
A mate of mine dropped his jacket in a pit like that and went looking for it. I was amazed and said you're not going to wear it now are you. He said, of course not but my lunch is in the pocket.
Brilliant as always Simon and thank you, really enjoy watching. I just got my hands on 6ppc Sako 75 in a synthetic sporter barrel, unfortunately not the varmint version like yours. Could I ask what brass, powder/s, primers you run please? Maybe even the load on those 58gr v-max’s, will try a couple different bullet seating depths when I start testing. A little limited with powders down here in Australia but l’ll see what I can get my hands on, thanks again 👍
Thanks Michael to be fair pal the 6ppc just shoots no matter what i seem to use but the load i have virtually used all my life is 29 Grains of Vit 133 with a 58 Vmax
Hey Simon, caring mums are magic. Nice shooting and thanks for sharing with us.
Lol cheers pal.
Always clinical, always respectful. Proper shooting Simon 👍
Cheers mate 👍
Hi Simon :) So happy to see good Ol' Jack on vid, always heartwarming ... Take care pal, both of you :)
Good video my friend 👍
Thanks, you too!
I really appreciate your patience. Fantastic shooting skills. ;-) Sitting on your side is definitely hard.
Ye Steve it is hard work to be fair.
So you haven't seen the DDC hunter group hunting, they even hang from trees to hit the target.
@@simon6ppc246 did you find your remote? Eewwww 😂
If I've said it once I've said it a million times, a true craftsman and his tools! That looked like an uncomfortable sit up in the tower, however you laid out those two fox like a true professional!
Ye thanks to be fair it wasn't the best just i had to lie down due to it being so green mold
Always good to see Jack out with you. Happy new year to you both.

Lol may be a third top as she knows i like these 😂
Well done Simon. I dont have a 6mm PPC but i do have a .22-250 Rem. With 69 grain Sierra TMK bullets at 3100 fps, it is lights out on Crows, Coyotes and even a few deer.
Ye a 22.250 sending 69 TMKs must be awsome.
I have used the Sierra 70 grain SXSP bullet in the 6mm PPC for years - it's devastating on Coyotes here in Canada. Great installment, thank you.
Cheers Mark ye i have used 70s in it years ago shot them well
You would give Clint Eastwood a run for his money! Nice one Simon 👍
Lol thanks Darren
Another excellent video Simon and it was good to see Jack again.
Geoff.
Thanks Geoff
Good old Jack, he was taking a interest in the pheasants, he was probably thinking he was going to be employed bless him.
Lol cheers pal.
Love your chilled out style, relaxing to watch. The scene searching for your remote made me chuckle, felt your pain 😅
Lol ye i actually had my hand in after feeling for it but couldn't film that and my hand stank for around 4 days after lol
It is getting a bit lighter at night now and I think we are all fed-up with the wet weather. Sod's law with the foxpro mate!
Lol ye cheers pal.
good shooting. Good to see Jack with you. Stay Safe!!
Thank you Peter
Great to unwind watching your vids mate. Also great to see ya mate Jack. I think he’s everyone’s mate now. Old lad. Bless him. Just charged my Reign M2 for tomorrow. So, early night. Take care pal.👍
