Finally got around to the stage 1 tune today for my 2015 EA888 A3 Quattro !! Woo hoo, what a difference the tune makes. Response time better, quicker off the line...almost feels like a different car!
Bought this for my 2015 mk7 GTI, car was previously flashed by dealer with the IS38 FBO tune. I bought it to switch to stock mode and also add the burble tune. Upon connecting, it recognized my vin and showed the available tune options that were free as I was previously flashed. I had the option to add the high torque file, soft or loud pops. When choosing a burble add on, he doesn’t allow you to add the high torque file. My tune file includes is38 fbo, soft burbles for manual. Competing the process took 5-10 mins. Normal mode : normal exhaust sound Sport mode: burble activated.
So, if i get this for my 2020 Audi TT, will i be able to go stage 1, and revert back to stock for inspections? Norway has some strict rules when it comes to engine tuning and emissions.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Does this allow me to tune my car my self, or is it the same as before, where OTS tunes are the only thing avaliable. I really want to be able to adjust parameters my self and when i see "diy ecu tune" thats whats going through my head, like HPtuner
hey y'all, looks like macOS support was added today (received the email on 8/13). Definitely helpful in my case, was using a Parallels trial, and free version of Windows before this.
I wouldn’t risk it dude. Flashing the ecu is a big deal and if they didn’t release it for phones it’s probably because it’s not as safe. So many idiots are gonna screw this up by not following directions and then they’ll blame APR lol
Two weeks finally passed!!! 😂👍 By the way - do you have to pay each time you flash a different tune? Or once you buy a tune once it's yours to flash for free from that point on?
Really looking to buy one for my 2012 A4 2.0t. If the ultralink costs 200 CAD as it is, how much roughly would a stage 1 91 octane tune with the speed limiter removed and crackles be since I'm mostly stock internals and exhaust still? If it's gonna be like $700 for the tune + 200 for the chip then it's kind of a problem
too bad they don't have literally any information about drivers for windows. This thing is useless because my W11 laptop assumes basic serial COM drivers. No download links anywere, not even in the ultralink portal. Worthless
If you were targeting dealers, shops or mechanics - “Windows-only” might make a lot of sense. But it’s 2024, and you’re making a bold move to directly equip all of us to play with our tune… not with an iPhone or Android via Bluetooth, but with a…🥁…Windows laptop. We would have paid the extra $5-10 for your cost of implementing on mobile and Bluetooth… who decided to go down the old familiar path with this (and make it a smaller business and learning opportunity for APR)?
Agreed, no Linux/macOS support either. I have a windows desktop but obviously that doesn't help unless I want to move that to my garage when using it lol
Can’t believe this is real! Thank you, APR!
Just got mine. This is what Audi needed. Once we go wireless w an app were on par with the bmw guys
Just ordered mine a few days ago…and it’s coming TODAY!!!
How is it?

What type of battery charger is needed to install? All available only seem to be 12v max?
14V is just ideal. Assuming your battery is in good condition any 12v charger/tender will be fine. The whole process takes about 10mins.
All 12v car battery charger actually charging at 14.4v
Or just redneck it and have another car idling on jumper cables connected to your car 😂

Audi dealer told me they can detect changes to the ECU, which will instantly my warranty. Is this true?
What type of battery charger u guys recommend ?
I seen one connected to wall socket ?
This make it where i can finally go stage 2??
Does it have to be Windows computer or can I use my Mac
Right now you have to run Microsoft Windows OS. Which is possible on your Mac. But right now the Mac OS is not supported.
Mine is shipped, is an IPad Pro using chrome available?
Please make this compatible with Mac OS.
get parallels 14 days free run windows on mac.
You can run it free in VMWARE
just added support as of today, I received the email.

OTS only. With the option of having APR build a custom file. TCU tune will allow you to adjust rpms for launch control etc
What if you have stage 1 from a dealer and want to go to stage 2 with ultralink will it still be discounted
That's what I'm wondering. Did you ever find out?

Does it fit the Mexican jetta gli?
So will my check engine light affect this my secondary air pump injection valve is bad but I don’t want to fix it will this affect the tune?
Yes it will, I would recommend you fix the part before doing any tuning.
Will this not be available for b8/b8.5 platforms? My 2016 S4 is tuned with APR.
We will be adding our full catalog. Support is coming soon!
What about BMW ? For example the F series ? Can't find BMW through the websites filter
