Scarfs are notoriously challenging objects to model. In this video we look at a possible workflow that uses just about every technique: Curves, Mesh modeling, Cloth Sims and Sculpting.

So I'm looking at the thumbnail thinking "That looks like a really difficult model to pull off." Yep, 61 seconds later, I'm going "Wow, that's pretty clever."
That's this channel in general. Incredibly useful.
It's the cloth simulation that really makes it look realistic. Crazy how just gravity and collision detection can lead to something that'd take hours to do by hand.
It still takes an hour.
The power of simulation.
for me, it takes days i guess
Top quality, as always 😁
Thanks ❤
This looks much easier then I try the same idea with clothes simulation and hook modifier. And your result looks better.
That's great!
cool, next tutorial "shawls" please
Nice. I wonder if using solidify modifier on the collision body would fix overlap issues. Ok, maybe but it would take more time to be rendered, so it's better fixing it afterwards as you've done.
the hell's a grease pencil?
will have to watch a tutorial on where to get grease pensil.... god damn!
where tf is the decimate curve menu
Ahha! You just gave me a method to make a saree on an Indian woman! Thanks

Wow cool
Can someone explain to me what is happening to the scarf at 0:35? How does it go through the character while collision is on? 0:35
how do i use a Grease Pencil? Why must Blender make me look for a tutorial to do step one of another tutorial? this is such a learning curve
Fr
I can't convert it to besier curve. The menu does not show up when i right click.
You can instead just create bezier curve (Shift+A -> Curve -> Bezier), delete verticles in Edit mode (Tab -> X -> Verticles), and use tool "Draw", it looks like a pencil drawing a curve. Hope I've helped.
Thanks a lot
I cant decimate it, it just said point context menu not a curve contet menu after converting to beizer curve
my bad it was just under it
how to decimate?
@@sinaloae134 go to modifiers
why is my scarf flying everywhere?
it may have to do with Weight Painting. check out tutorials on that. Best of luck. my scarf is still not fixed after weight painting
This is literally what I did haha
Woh
Hi. Do u know how to modeling hijab
giga chad tutorial
Aahh ...too much to learn ...still going through your book...slow down! This hobby is starting to feel like work! 😫
@Peter Frank
Because you have the attitude of wanting to understand it thoroughly, not just skimming & copying blindly... I predict once you find ways to turn the work into fun / satisfaction, you'll be well on the way to mastery. A level that many very competent people without that attitude just cannot reach.
May you enjoy every step of the journey!
